22nd is approaching fast! This year I'll be able to purchase pizza directly with BTC. What a year has been!
Thanks for reminding me hard to believe a year has passed already and your right this has been one heck of a year. For those of you that were around last year on Pizza Day...what was the cost (in btc) at that time?

Brock Pierce has posted a rebuttal to the allegations made against him. He claims that they are without merit and aimed to unfairly discredit him. Brock is claiming that his successful election to the board of the Bitcoin Foundation is proof enough that he is a valued and trusted member of the Bitcoin community as a whole. In fact, he claims to represent 127,000 members of the community in the MTGox fiasco. Is that true? It seems that his victory was a mere single vote over the next leading contestant. This in a vast field of 71 voters. Is this really representative of the community that he has called on to trust him? I would propose that in light of the feedback from the community that Brock offer to open the vote to the whole community and not just a few elite members. Yes, Brock and Vinny should have a special election open to the full community. That is the only way to assure that the Brock has the necessary consensus to lead. https://bitcoinfoundation.org/forum/index.php?/topic/965-brocks-rebuttal/Xtib Won by a single vote? I wonder what kind of promises or payoffs were made to get there.

I absolutely use my bitcoins for transactions. I have been very vocal on here that the best (if not only) way to build bitcoin into a viable currency is through commerce and adaptation. Those that are buying bitcoin and holding are still valuable to our community. So, I do not wish to put them down in any way...the more people involved in any fashion, the better. But, true bitcoin growth will come though its usage as an everyday currency.

I am out of silver. Additionally: All past promotions are over.New promotions:I have up to $1000 in PayPal funds as collateral; willing to discuss your offers for the rate; I offer bitstamp * 1.01 and we do it in your LB escrow. Principal and 5% interest paid in bitcoin weekly. I am a long-term reputable seller with PayPal on LocalBitcoins with zero complaints ( you can ask anyone on there), so you can rest assured of no chargebacks. You can also Sell me bitcoins for PayPal directly. I have made over a dozen trades today on LB, mostly PayPal and MoneyPak. I hope this has addressed your concerns, Crypto.Conyo. Anything in Paypal is NOT collateral! Paypal is reversible and there are too many thieves selling stolen verified Paypal accounts on different onion sites.

Is it just me or the TXid 68dec0310317061e9f63258e60af5496d1dc15677e4976d19344e6d93620d11e-000 shows up as an "Unrecognized search pattern" on blockchain.info? Edit: nvm, removed 3 zeros... Ok, well it seems you did purchase that, but you should always supply a collateral. Should you ever decide to put altcoins up for collateral, feel free to visit my lending thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615298.0No disrespect meant to you, for I understand why you wish collateral. You have you own financial situation like I having mine. Everyone different, not all investor the same. One stock good for this man but bad for another, one loan bad for one lender but good for another. It depend on the person and personal sitatuation or that of the business finances, right? There maybe someone there who think for them this a reasonable deal. If they find my thread, good for us both. If not all well that ending well. It not so far-fetched to believe person having made successful deal in past and provably own ASIC miners can repay $34,87 of Bitcoin in short time, no? Again, understanding there LOT of scams in Lending but not all people bad and I try to take extra step to show I serious and capable. If it don't work out it just don't work out, but it worth a try. I've read through this whole thread. It does not make sense. You want a loan. Someone offered you that loan. You send collateral, they send the bitcoin. When you return loan, you get back collateral. Pretty simple. Why do you not want the loan anymore?

I don't know Pierce, I've never met him. But his involvement with the The Bitcoin Foundation is BAD NEWS. He is tainted goods.
That is my main issue with his election. It does not matter if he has been found guilty of anything. Just the extreme nature of his past controversies (cannot be more extreme than a past involving pedophilia) will hurt bitcoin. People outside of the BTC community already read news and share misconceptions (did you hear the one about the guy that owns bitcoin? he stole everybody's money and now bitcoin has declared bankruptcy ). This election of Mr. Pierce will only further tarnish bitcoin.

What stuck out to me was this paragraph: In April, eBay added a virtual currency section on its site, where shoppers can purchase digital currency, mining equipment or mining contracts. While each sale is different, some currency vendors charge fees upward of 10 percent to purchase bitcoins, which may prevent some shoppers from getting into the currency. Additionally, with the price fluctuation, shoppers should consider the average price per bitcoin before buying currency on eBay as the price might reflect higher or lower values.
My understanding was that ebay is currently allowing the sales of mining contracts and mining equipment, but not actual currency as of now. That is why all the currency ads at set as classified ads and one musts contact the seller and buy outside of ebay. Is my understanding incorrect? Does anybody have any first hand knowledge...how does this process work currently in regards to the sales of virtual currency on ebay? (I had sold some btc and ltc on ebay before these changes and was scammed like many others.)

Wow, this is one of the best articles I've seen. I'm surprised that more people have not commented. Bitcoin in the hands of the next generation of consumers is huge. Just giving them the $10 worth is smart because it incentivizes them to learn how to use (send/receive) and integrate bitcoin. Also, should inspire young minds into opening more bitcoin business. I know Coinbase didn't think of this on their own (took it from the MIT experiment), but massive kudos to them for this initiative. This is long term thinking at its finest!

Does anybody understand what is going on right now? In the past 2 hours over 100 BTC of Dogecoin has been sold off on Cryptsy. Has some bad news come out or is it some whale doing the moving?

Guys I think he's only selling the box, and not the actual power supply.
I do not understand your reasoning behind writing this. You sent me a message on ebay and asked me. I told you the listing is for the actual 600W power supply.

Guys I think he's only selling the box, and not the actual power supply.
What the scam? uh yea I have some PS boxes for sale too...I guess that explains the no description on his ebay ad or here either for that matter. Everything works great with the power supply. I upgraded my miners with 1000W power supplies and no longer needed this 600W. Obviously, I am not selling a box, it is the actual power supply. I do not appreciate how quick you are to throw the word 'scam' around.

Will Satoshi visit us soon? We could have a great time and see if he has any advice.
We know he is alive, do you think he will show up here again?
If you give him free lunch, he will come.

Bitcoin is dead, I'm selling mine at a 80% loss. Moving on to a different crypto. BITCOIN IS DEAD!
Can you prove it??? I need arguments. IMO, Bitcoin is one of the most stable cryptocurrencies. Just because the OP is full of shit doesn't make bitcoin stable. EDIT: cryptocurrencies...ok, I could give in to that..

If you had bought two days ago when you first posted, you'd already have made about $197.
On May 5th, $5000 / $430 = 11.62 BTC
Today's current btc price is $447, so $447 * 11.62 = $ 5197.67.
People who wait for cheap coins get neither cheap or any coins.
Keep waiting, noobs!
Yep, rarely do people get in or out at the peaks or valleys. Key is to buy in or cash out at a place you feel good about...and don't think twice about it.

Why do you need this loan, some more information would be nice...
Don't you have all the information you need? No collateral. Forum accounts are bought and sold daily on this forum. Not saying the OP is a purchased account, but you never know. I think it's acceptable to ask for a loan without collateral, but not without providing detailed information about the purpose of the loan. And only when you're somewhat of an established member. Like in GBattaglia's thread, the reasons he provides (buying new hardware), are somewhat verifiable by looking at his post history. Ok, he could very well be pulling a giant scam, planning it months ahead, but it just seems unlikely to me. I disagree. There should never be a loan without collateral. People buy and sell accounts on here with Full Member, Senior Member, and Hero Member status. One could never know, based on post history, who the real person is asking for unsecured loan. Never loan without collateral!

next month i will post it better.
Ahh, I get it...that was your activity level, not actual posts. So, yeah, should be well over 50 posts.

By your numbers, you had 31 posts. There is a minimum 50 posts to be paid.

It is all in the title really. For those who say it isn't China, what is it then? The price is 100% higher than where it was a year ago before China got involved in the first place. I think a 100% gain in a year is pretty damn good. $440/btc is strong.
