1181  Economy / Economics / Re: Is 1 bitcoin a decent and good investment? on: June 07, 2014, 07:23:19 PM
At the moment the risk/reward ratio is not that great in my opinion. At best it will go to about 1000 this year. I do not believe this year will see a 10x bubble.
So, you will only make about 50% at best for 2014 if you buy in at current prices. Given the high risk  of bitcoin (can easily lose 60% in a few days) that reward is not that great.

It is also a bit optimize to think it will go to 1000.

Some people actually think it could go to 100000 in a few years when the world wide adaption rate is more than the current 1%. I think these guys are dreaming.

To think it'll hit that this year is dreaming. But imagine that the mainstream companies that already know of bitcoin, such as ebay and amazon, start accepting it. Then, Russia and China reverse their decision and allow Bitcoin in everyday commerce. It could easily hit $10,000+ btc at that time.
This could happen in a matter of months, years, or never. But, main point, it is definitely a real possibility.

If you're in the U.S., then use Coinbase.
1183  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-06-20] Yahoo! News: Meet the people trying to make Bitcoin happen in Washi on: June 03, 2014, 12:38:32 AM
Bitcoin has very little practical use for the average person. Since it is now impossible for an average person to "mine" any Bitcoins, the only people promoting it are the ones who have invested millions dollars of real money in the computers needed to "mine" it. What do you think about this?

Kinda ignorant.
Bitcoin's greatest application (IMHO) is as a payment processing system. Imagine all the money an ebay seller can save by not having to give away 3% of their item (and shipping cost) to Paypal fees.
Paypal, Western Union, and credit card company, etc that charge 3%-30%  to help you make a payment or accept a payment are shaking in their boots over Bitcoin. Unlimited transactions for a fraction of a fraction of those fees.
1184  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-05-29] Newsweek: Bitcoin Makes the Jump to Brick-and-Mortar in Cleveland on: June 02, 2014, 04:40:06 PM
Thank you Joe Kloc of Newsweek for visiting and presenting such an engaging story. I must admit, when I heard Newsweek was on the block, I was excited but part of me was also very cautious...

They did a great job.

http://www.newsweek.com/2014/06/06/bitcoin-makes-jump-brick-and-mortar-cleveland-252604.html

Glad to hear that their story wasn't a hit piece.
I did not read it. As a matter of principle I will not give their pages any additional views.

Woe, y'all work fast. I just logged into Yahoo to check my email and saw this story. Thought I'd come on here and post it and was beat by a few hours.
Great job!
I love seeing more and more main stream organizations with features on Bitcoin!!
1186  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - UPDATED - RitzGrandCasino.com on: June 02, 2014, 06:53:02 AM
My payment are only 29 post ? i made more than 54 post and only get 29 post payment

Be thankful for that. I looked through your May posts and didn't see a single constructive post out of the 27 or so posts that you made.
Also, it appeared you had a 3 week ban after posting 25 of those on May 1st and 2nd...didn't post again until the 24th.
I think Ritz paid pretty darn fairly...one might say he was generous with you.
1187  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: June 02, 2014, 06:33:39 AM
I am anxious to see what changes ate coming around the corner for this campaign...

As am I.
I was worried he would cut off new signups once Ritz announced he was ending...glad I got in here before it was too late. I believe that I will stick here permanently, even if there may be newcomers offering better rates. I'm at a point where I'd like stability and Stunna seems to have the longest Sig. campaign running.
1188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.6 HARDFORK MANDATORY UPDATE on: June 02, 2014, 06:29:38 AM
Looks like the market is changing its mind about Dogecoin! Congratulations to all holders and those who bought below 60 Smiley

In other news: Operation Fire and Forget is fully funder: an extra 13 mh/s will protect the network 24/7 and its profits will go to the devs! Making the doge network about 1500$ more expensive to attack.

I bought a lot from 55-57  Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  I knew that bottom was near and there was not much to risk with.
And i did tell you guys, that DOGE will go back up on longer term.
Perhaps you will get another chance to buy, but i doubt if you will. Current price is actually not that high as well. So its still time to buy if  you intend to hold longer than few days.

I missed the 50's, but picked up a few more at 64. I don't really care if it runs down to the 40's again in the short term. I have a feeling it'll set around 200-250 once the halving ends and it's on inflationary mode. That's my opinion and I put my money on what I believe. If I end up being wrong, I'll accept it and have no regrets. I believe Doge will survive long term. We have the greatest altcoin community around.
My humble opinion and I enjoy everyone else that comments.
1189  Economy / Lending / Re: Escrow Services by Monbux - Hold onto your collateral! on: June 02, 2014, 02:37:09 AM

I'll vouch for monbux as well. He helped me out of a quick jam when I was working a different deal and miscalculated and was short a tiny fraction. Monbux really didn't make anything after transaction fees, but still loaned me the shortage so I was able to complete my deal.
A+ guy all the way.

What's going on in December?

1192  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: June 01, 2014, 05:38:04 AM
Knocked Up and Pineapple Express were both pretty horrible. It may have been due to the fact that both were really hyped up (at least to me), so I expected better. Really bad.

I'd agree with Pineapple Express, but Knocked Up? I loved it. I went in thinking it would be a stupid typical stoner movie. It was not (although obviously there were elements). I thought it was laugh out loud funny at parts and romantic comedy chick flick at other parts. All in all a legit comedy that I could see more than once.
1193  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-05-29] DISH Becomes Largest Company to Accept Bitcoin on: June 01, 2014, 01:10:29 AM

This is amazing. Great way to win over some customers from Direct TV. If DISH can steals away enough customers from Direct TV, it may cause Direct TV and their parent company (AT&T) to decide to accept BTC as a payment method as well.
Really huge deal to begin with...but this could turn into the biggest thing to ever happen to bitcoin.
1194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin | IPO | 1,600+ Replies| Phase 1 Air Drop TODAY! on: May 31, 2014, 06:06:05 AM
I welcome users from California to begin to register for our airdrop  Smiley http://thecaliforniacoin.com/index.php?topic=3.0

Over 750 Million PREMINE coins (4.5% of 16.8 Billion = 756,000,000) and "airdrop" is only giving out 2500 per person.

Over 300,000 people can sign up for the "airdrop" and dev still would have over 10 Million coins to play with.

1196  Economy / Services / Re: ★★★ HIGHEST SIGNATURE PAYMENT ON THE BOARD - UPDATED - RitzGrandCasino.com on: May 29, 2014, 01:38:25 AM
We have told zackclark whats in store for him.  He laughs at it. It's the same fate as a certain well known person on this board, that has just been issued a subpoena.

ZackClark won't be laughing much longer.
ZackClark: Last chance to work it out with us or the other option is going to cost you a shit load of money. Is it really worth it to you?

I do not think you need to worry about the trust rating. Anybody that has been on this forum for more than a week knows you're honest.

Question- is there a Doge poker site?
I know there are plenty of casino type sites, but I am looking for pure poker playing...Hold 'em and Stud

If EAC holders want to see Earthcoin grow as a currency, then it will have to be used for trade. Post an Auction. https://earthazaar.com

How does the site work, are the funds held as an escrow until the bought item is shipped or something, or what prevents from someone selling non-existent items?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, just like ebay or any other auction site. Once buyers and sellers confirm item has been received the seller receives funds.
Look for ATXsilver. He often sells silver at great prices!
1199  Economy / Services / Re: [Selling] Sig space on: May 28, 2014, 10:27:58 PM

It's on... :p Cheesy

0.004 BTC only requiring the 15 I originally asked for.

I thought I was going to give the only offer. This has turned into a bidding war...I'm out.
Y'all are getting too rich for my blood.
1200  Economy / Services / Re: [Selling] Sig space on: May 28, 2014, 08:40:10 PM
Hello, I am selling my signature space for a very cheap price (your offer). Can be paid per post or however you decide.

Please contact me to begin Smiley

Ok, I will make you an offer.
4 week offer. Pay is per week, not per post. I will pay 500 Dogecoin per week. Minimum 10 constructive posts per week.
Sig must read:
Insurance questions? Go to: http://www.insurance-forums.net (United States only)

Cannot put anything else in the signature space.
Week = 7 day period from start day
You may opt out after the completion of any week.

So that means 20cents..! OP should take it as a fun deal instead of taking it moneywise..! who knows what 500doge will worth in future :p

He asked for any offer. Nobody else made an offer, so I did.
I'm happy to pay it or not. It isn't my site, just a great resource I use and am happy to give something back.
