Directbet You told me 5 minutes ago that you don't post emails. You asked me for my personal information 5 minutes ago and I'm glad that I didn't give it to you. Don't trust these guys. They stuck it to me by keeping my bet 30 minutes. Now they will come up with an excuse for posting emails.

Quote
I can assure you all your bets and e-mails will be kept confidential.

If someone was trying to blackmail you into giving them money or else they would hurt your business AND you have proof, I am positive you would also post that proof.
Not all situations are equal.

DirectBet is lying about the blackmail. The emails show that he lies. He also just posted information on my last two bets.

You asked him for 2 bitcoins per month to advertise for him. He said no.
You then lowered it to asking for 1 bitcoin per month. He said no.
Now you are trying to hurt his business.

New Poll

Please take a moment to vote :

Do you think that Peeps Place has the right to rate Bitcoin Sportbooks, given that those he rates the highest are paying him to advertise and promote them ?

Yes or No ?

Ratings aren't paid for. We put up banners for top books.

Do those sites pay you to put up those banners?

I sent an email with my 3 bets that didn't pay out last night until after I went to sleep, causing me to miss funds for additional bets. I asked for the .01btc bet to be placed on bet ID: 18re5ZZMAeD5uy4hZas5umLjonsQM7t1fv (BJ Penn over Frankie Edgar).
My email was not answered and the 0.01 btc was not put on this bet for me.

I don't know why but we have not received your e-mail.

Anyways, you free bet is now confirmed.

Good Luck !

It has showed up as confirmed!
Thank you for the great customer service at DirectBet! You guys really are the top crypto currency betting site around.
1085  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – Best LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. No Accounts. Instant Payouts. on: July 07, 2014, 01:05:52 AM
Our automated betting system will be back up shortly and will settle all open bets automatically.

Meanwhile, if your winning bets have not been settled and you don't wish to wait any longer, please e-mail your bet IDs to support@directbet.eu and we will settle them manually.

If your winning bets have not been settled within an hour of the event completion as a result of this down time, we will compensate you with a free 0.01 BTC bet.

Simply order any bet that you like once bets are back up and e-mail support@directbet.eu the free bet ID along with the ID of the bet that did not settle on time. We will then fund your free bet with 0.01 BTC.

Sincere apologies once again.

I could PM my email address to you if need be. I sent the email at 10:47am central time and included the transaction details of the 3 bets that were not settled anywhere close to within an hour after the UFC fights last night.
1086  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – Best LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. No Accounts. Instant Payouts. on: July 06, 2014, 07:36:34 AM
Whats going on with the site? Seems to have went down during the UFC fight and now I havent been paid my winnings?

All bets are currently down due to a technical problem.

We apology for the inconvenience and will notify you as soon as they are back up. Your open bets will be settled shortly.

When will site be back up?
I have some winners that need to be paid and bet to be placed!!

When? When? How was site attacked'?

calling something scam repeatedly does not make it one. You need to admit that you have no factual basis for your statements and stop acting like a child. Stating slanderous allegations against another forum member without a factual basis is a rule violation. If my intention were to do as you suggest, the result of those alleged misdeeds would have become known by now. I don't know why you feel the need to persist on attacking my honest effort but I have decided to report your post as a means of defending my reputation.

I was finished with you and this thread. Then, YOU ASKED me, "I will repeat the question to you as I have done to others, why do you believe this a scam?"
You asked me the question, I thought you wanted me to answer. I posted my answer to YOUR QUESTION, "The premise doesn't make any sense...you need liquid local currency to help with any sort of disaster relief. Therefore, you should be selling YOUR Primecoins for other peoples Paypal. The other way around makes zero sense..."

Why would you ask me to explain my reasoning, then get angry that I answered?

(Also, you never addressed how my reasoning... you need liquid local currency to help with any sort of disaster relief. Therefore, you should be selling YOUR Primecoins for other peoples Paypal. The other way around makes zero sense...)

Maybe so, there are some intrepid speculators that agree with you and are putting money behind that outcome. I am doing my part where I can.

tins
It all depends on what happens in the future. If XPM reverses its downward trend, then yes, you are correct to say the relief would be in my selling coin but the reality is those I paid above $0.80 per coin are the ones who are relieved now. This is not a scam, only honest speculation. What happens if all the coins fail in the future? Those that sell to me today will be thankful they did. I will repeat the question to you as I have done to others, why do you believe this a scam?

Because it is an obvious scam.
The premise doesn't make any sense...you need liquid local currency to help with any sort of disaster relief. Therefore, you should be selling YOUR Primecoins for other peoples Paypal. The other way around makes zero sense. The only reason you want to by any crypto currency with Paypal is to reverse the transaction at a later date or use a stolen account and have the victim reverse the transaction at a later date. Both scenarios have you walking away stealing coins.

Why are you guys bitching so much? I think that you made bets without reading the rules. Of course you have to understand how it works before you start betting.

In my opinion, Directbet is right.

I'm not arguing rules. I clearly understand the difference between flexible and negotiate odds.

DB was offering 5.6 on Fischer. I submitted a Negotiate bet (with min odds at 5.6) on Fischer. They received it while it was still open for betting at 5.6. Odds had not changed.

Problem for you is that the odds did change by the time the transaction was received. They were lower than your minimum 5.6 odds.
Since the odds offered at the time the transaction was received did not meet your standards, you had your coins refunded.
Pretty straight forward.

You get an instant notification when your bet is rejected and it is then refunded after there is 1 confirmation in the Bitcoin network for your initial bet transfer.

So while the refund is transferred a few minutes later, you know right away whether your bet was confirmed or not.

I'm sorry that your bet arrived in a few minutes delay and hope that you will understand that this was not our fault.

Your wallet provider delayed the broadcasting of your bet transfer as I've showed you in my previous post.

We process bets as soon as they are received. We have no way to tell whether your transfer arrived in a delay or whether you intentionally wanted to send it some time after you ordered the bet on our website.

In the future, if you decide to bet at DirectBet again, we recommend that for time sensitive bets and for fastest instant Bitcoin delivery, you use the official Bitcoin Core client or its lighter version Multibit.

These wallets can be downloaded from https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

You will not have these delays when using the official wallet.

DirectBet is lying here too. I place an order at 17:45. I received a bitcoin address and sent the money at 17:45. DirectBet acknowledged that I sent it at 17:45.  Now he is saying that he didn't know. He accepted it 7 minutes later. There is no reason for us to wait 7 minutes before knowing if DirectBet is going to accept the bet.

You already said that you used 'Firm Odds' and that by the time that the transaction went through the odds no longer met the minimum, thus the bet was refunded.
Seems pretty straight forward.
1094  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering <Fair | Quick | Low Interest> Loans! Up to 1 BTC! [No-Collateral] on: July 04, 2014, 06:06:41 PM

I'd like a 0.1 btc loan. It will be to place a bet on DirectBet on the Rockies/Dodgers game for combined runs under 10.5. I feel with Greinke on the mound it is a good bet.
Should I win the bet, I will return .105 (5% interest) within 24 hours.
I had already purchased some btc on coinbase yesterday:

[This email is to confirm that you initiated a purchase for 0.24 BTC on Jul 2, 2014 at 01:59 am, to be paid for with *edit* Bank *****edit.

Your bitcoin will arrive by the end of day on Wednesday Jul 9, 2014

Thank you for the purchase.

Kind regards,
The Coinbase Team]

Therefore, if it's a losing bet, I will return .107 (1% daily interest) by next Thursday.

If you agree, I will post in the thread for public record--

I guess I should have checked here before the PM.
Here was my response:
I was able to secure that loan. It was too good of odds to pay out (and WON @ 1.95!).
But, I will still accept your 0.1 loan under the same conditions.
Placing it on Federer to win his match at Wimbledon at 1.36.
Not the greatest odds, but should be a pretty safe bet.
Same conditions, bet wins- I pay you back .105 within 24 hours. If bet loses, I pay back .107 within a week.

EDIT: For the record, loan was received.

Great job, Roger Federer!
Paid loan back within 24 hours...paid the 7% interest rate, instead of the 5%, as I appreciate your trusting me with the loan.

Has anyone else had bets accepted 7 minutes or more after making a bet? I feel if Directbet is going to accept my 17:45 at 17:52 then they should accept my 17:48 bet.

My bet was ordered at 17:45 and money sent at 17:45.

It could have been a negotiated bet that never hit the minimum odds, therefore refunded.
Other bet was probably also negotiated minimum odds, that obviously hit those odds as the match was winding down with the losing side ahead. It would have been accepted the moment it hit the minimum odds.
I used "firm odds"

What really doesn't make sense is that Directbet is telling me that I placed the bet at 3.3 odds and they accepted it 5.5 odds. I think that type of line change would be rejected.

Ahh, that explains it.
Firm Odds:
Confirm bet at the best available odds by the time the bet transfer is received if the odds are equal or better than current quoted odds, otherwise refund it.

They can still make it illegal to trade in a month, right ?
Probably, wont.. but just saying they could.

How come ? After selling something to a person u'll call it illegal ? Govt will be sued and they'll lose that case for sure...

Yep, even though a few people were against this auction, it does add a level of stability to Bitcoin. We can now know with certainty that the U.S. will not push any bans on BTC anytime in the near (near=years, at a minimum) future.

another one confirms their  bid was not accepted, - no prices though.
hope they start putting all that unspent $ into the btc exchanges!

Article didn't mention what the bid was, but by the bidder's comments, it appears to have been below current market price.

"After evaluating the current bitcoin currency landscape, we submitted a bid price that, if accepted, reflected our determination of a competitive and attractive value for our investors."

Thank you all for your questions, jibes and concerns. I think it is clear from prior posts and the resulting charts that Primecoin [XPM] is the disaster being referenced. I have made 7 positive transactions trading primecoin for paypal without incident to date with an average payout of $0.71 per coin and I have been posting long enough here and other forums for any charge back events to have been exposed. All who have traded with me have been happy with the result but I recognize this may change if primecoin reverses it's ever relentless downward trend. Everyone is entitled to remain skeptical but I am interested only in honest transactions and am eager to prove this to any and all reading. If you have XPM that you are willing to exchange for dollars, I encourage you to contact me to discuss terms. Positive feedback and a report of your transaction experience will be encouraged but not mandated. I'm easy and fair and sooner or later, that will get around.

Nobody is going to fall for your scam. The premise doesn't make any sense...you need liquid local currency to help with any sort of disaster relief. Therefore, you should be selling YOUR Primecoins for other peoples Paypal. The other way around makes zero sense. Maybe time to call it quits? Try to think out the next scam a little better.
