80 and out?
I bought at 30 and still holding.
I bought at 20  Pretty sure Artoo was referring to buying XC at 80k. Not Cloak. I have my sell orders for Cloak set at 130-180, some of them already got filled. I want to hold longer, but considering whales and pumpers have been bragging about it for the past week is a red flag to me. Also dont forget that even after the POSA countdown announcement a couple weeks ago, the price went down to as low as 34k. Its seen a 4x-5x increase since. Dont be surprised to see POSA already priced in. Just saying. CloakCoin and DarkCoin have almost the same amount of coins available. The way I look at it, that either means this is horribly underpriced, or DarkCoin is horribly overpriced. I'm leaning towards the former, so that's why I'm not nearly selling this low. Cloak only has 4.5 million coins. Drk has 22 million Total number of coins does not matter... The important matter is how many instamined coins does the whales have to be able to control a market and to pump that market... With DRK, that number is very high, that's why dark was pumped that high... Look at ppl who bought in at ~0.02, they'll never touch that price again before the coin will be forgotten and ppl will move to something new, or some coin offering more things on the table... Anon features start to look for many as it really is, an useless thing, which you can't use because you don't have the places accepting it...meh... Its not all about anon features, its how it works. I'm personally not banking on anon features, onemarket, oneledger is where we see the real innovations. There's quite abit of additional features down the pipeline. Using POS protocol to create anon transactions is quite a smart idea and this could be use for other things too. I still don't see the difference between drk anon feature and coin mixers, its price jumped so high because they were the first to come with with the idea of anon transactions, whales have had their part too. |

Several people have suggested making a separate ANN thread when the wallets launch, and to make it self-moderated to we can reduce the spam and noise. What are your thoughts. I know there are pros and cons. As far as scam accusations, I would hope those are put to bed in this thread once the coin launches and coins are distributed. Anyway, I look forward to hearing your opinions.

No premine, fair launch, alot of miners mining it even from the start so distribution is good and no instamine. block reward schedule is perfect!
i got in 1 hour after launch and difficulty and hashrate were huge! alot of people want this coin. there is alot of demand for it. this is really a good coin. its one of those coins that go to 1 million satoshi!

High hash rate could be the devs. They may be the ones mining their own coin with a huge hashrate. Think about it. How could it have such a large hashrate the moment it is released. No Pre-ANN, No dev info, No plans for the future.... Who would know this coin is going to be released soon enough to begin mining before the public except for the devs and their friends. It has high hashrate because 2-3 miners jump on nicehash and rent basically everything to mine the coin... Especially @ Launchtime, got that for almost every coin after launch Probably the devs. This one looks like Glyph, Rox, and many others. It looks like a manufactured "Flavor of the Week" coin. It will pump for a very short while, then dump and be forgotten. Someone (devs) is trying to make some extra coin while they wait for the next REAL coin opportunity. Guys, take some sound advice: Go for Vericoin or Crypt. Even BTC and LTC will be making nice gains moving into next week. This coin is dangerous. High risk high return. Crumbs for the public, high returns for the devs. Be careful here... I would recommend that anyone trading this coin set the following profit targets: Conservative: 30k Medium Risk: 45k High Risk: 65k If you're going to risk your BTC on this, set a realistic profit target and exit with a nice profit. In the real world markets, 10-25% is a fantastic return. If you bought Key at 10k, selling at 30k is 200%. Very nice return. Be realistic and take your profit before someone else does. What amazes me is why would it even go that high? There's absolutely no features offered. The dev hasn't posted shit since launch and has been inactive for more than 12 hours. A dev that launches a coin is usually active alittle more than this atleast for the first few days of launch. I've seen dozen of coins like this and prices never this high...this is truly mind boggling. |

My only concern for this coin is the ipo amount is so high thats its pushes the price of the 10% coins up so much when miners dump its surely going to be cheaper. I know its takes longer to mine that other coins but I've seen miners sell immediately at some horrendous prices. Make the ipo 20% and problem solved.
Look at the block rewards, its going to take a long time to even mine a million coins. |

Also wondering why use scrypt? Wouldn't using a more energy efficient algo be better. Also people thinking this a scam are wrong, i thought too but like me most of your failed to actually read whats written in the via coin website and blog. About the 75 btc investor, it is a big share of the market but in every crypto there's a whale. At least you can be happy that a big player is interested in this coin. If thats the dev investment so be it, isn't he allowed to invest? If you had that kind of cash wouldn't you be investing that kind of cash? I doubt it is the dev. I mean if he buys that much and you think hes scamming, then your an idiot. There's almost 600 btc invested wouldn't be easier to take that instead? Guys please calm down.
1. Everyone is buying at the same price, so there is no such thing as bag holding.
2. More even distribution means less price manipulation by big holders.
3. Mining rewards kick in slowly so the main source of coin distribution and not miners.
I've been very clear about how this runs: there is a minimum safe period to buy - that means, the sale will remain open for 7 days as stated. After that, the sale can and will end abruptly.
I am sorry someone chose to make such a large purchase, but if they had chosen to be discrete and spread it over a few addresses no-one would know.
The enthusiasm for Viacoin should be a source of joy. That it will be difficult for people to manipulate is a good thing. From what I can see, it's not often a decent coin comes along with a vision. But money and time don't grow on trees. There is no way to develop a coin well without financial incentives.
I did not create Viacoin for a quick bit of trading. I had a problem I wanted to solve, saw a niche, waited months to see how things would progress in the crypto-sphere, and eventually took steps to make this happen.
I had no idea this would become a big thing like this so quickly. I am under a lot of pressure as it is to ensure things go smoothly, so take that into consideration.

I want to refund my investment, can you show me how? all sales are final No there not, check support page. Refunds can be requested after ICO is closed and refunds can be requested in first 5 days after ICO closed. So we can get a refund, considering this option too. People's greed wrecks everything, fcken greedy idiots come on 60 btc. Support page also says that ICO could last a few more days after July 15... Nothing in the support page. Sorry mistake check the "About" page its there. Also in terms understood it but whats the time for? thats why i thought ICO closes today at midnight. Extremely shady, major pools in early, bittrex added this coin in less than 12 hours after launch, cloud mining x13 has been going up. Big buy orders showing up at pretty high levels for a coin that offers absolutely nothing, surprised to see there's a windows wallet. Everyone making money, fake buy orders to make it look like whales are jumping in. Everyone makes money except suckers that bought, more and more bagholders. |
