1361  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] KNCMiner Jupiter 688 GH/s on: December 12, 2013, 05:06:43 PM

Does anyone have an offer of 17 BTC or higher?

EDIT: I contacted KNC to see how difficult it would be to transfer hosted device ownership to another person. Will update when they respond.

As estimates show it won't make more than about 13.8 BTC in it's lifetime  (assuming the difficulty shifts from 30% to 38% jumps given the new hardware coming) I can offer you 8BTC to hedge my bet..

I make the above offer to point out that you are doing pretty good with the offers you already have on the table, if someone is willing to pay more than the system will make them back I think you should jump on it while the offer is still good..
1362  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Quick sale - KnC Saturn on: December 11, 2013, 11:54:51 PM
Paid last night, put a lot of trust he will come through on this. Haven't received package and can't get tracking number from him now even though he is online... Hoping it's just an oversight on his part and we are good for tomorrow..
1363  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: KNC Miner Kncminer Jupiter Bitcoin Miner 550 GH/s + IN HAND USA on: December 11, 2013, 01:15:45 AM
Assuming large difficulty spikes don't hit when more of the new batch hit the market looking like it might make 15BTC in it's lifetime (not including operating costs, etc..)... It's hard to ask for 20 BTC, at the current exchange that's even jumping past ebay prices, but I wish you the best...

As for offers, I have 8.60968308 BTC burning a hole in my pocket so that's my best offer.
1364  Economy / Auctions / Re: KNC MINER FOR SALE on: December 09, 2013, 10:04:35 PM
Ok auction closes December 5th at 6pm mountian time funds will be held in escrow. Bids start at 18btc. Will only accept BTC.
are you fucking insane?

The fact is, you will get 18 BTC after 60 days of mining with a Jupiter so that price still is appropriate.  It may sound outrageous but I wouldn't sell my Jupiters for under 18BTC.  Jupiters had to be one of the best ASIC investments outside of Avalon Batch 1.

I expect you are assuming the difficulty never increases again? Using the difficulty trend it is actually a little over 12BTC after 60 days HOWEVER in the lifetime of the miner it will not break 18BTC, this of course doesn't include operating costs..

You ran this in such an unprofessional way, where is the guy who offered you 20BTC and why is he not in this thread?
1366  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Assembled GPU mining rig on: December 08, 2013, 06:23:00 PM
I'm selling some 4MH/s+ systems, little higher end than you might be looking for but hit me up if you are interested...
1367  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: KNCMiner November Jupiter 670GH/s Avg! +PSU Free overnight shipping in USA on: December 08, 2013, 06:21:28 PM
Where can I get 1.4 th right now for any sort of payment?

You've got me on that one, I am interested where I can turn that around tomorrow as well for 32BTC.. Hoping he can tell us both..
1368  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Getwork count and stratum protocol on: December 08, 2013, 06:19:34 PM
I am trying to sort through the getwork logic in Anubis, given the fact that with the stratum protocol getwork != number of shares the calculations are off.

Hoping someone can provide some recommendations about how one might go about calculating something meaningful regarding total shares vs. getwork requests to in turn calculate meaningful discards statistics?
1369  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: KNCMiner November Jupiter 670GH/s Avg! +PSU Free overnight shipping in USA on: December 08, 2013, 04:35:24 PM
Based on current difficulty trend I'll make 8.3 BTC on this unit.. Really hard sell at 32 BTC..
1370  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Prospero X-1 100GH/s Bitcoin Miners - 0.5 BTC (pre-order) on: December 06, 2013, 02:15:20 AM
When is your expected delivery date?
1371  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Terraminer IV preorder (Early January Batch) with escrow on: December 04, 2013, 03:53:22 AM
I'll let it go for $14k
preorder will be given with account name and password, along with the email address username and password

Since you played such a messed up game to get to the point where you posted an asking price, and made such bold claims with respect to profit let's put some perspective on this.. What we do know is with difficulty trending up the way it is, if BTC pricing holds I'll stand to make $4K after an entire year, at which point it's no longer profitable to keep it running...

1372  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Jupiter for Sale . I can deliver now on: December 01, 2013, 01:31:35 AM
How long is the auction running for?

Interesting.  After we saw hacks and/or incompetent management from MtGox, Bitomat, Bitconica (x2), etc, exchanges are still getting hacked.  Probably best to leave matters to the professionals with 24/7 monitoring of both hardware and software involved in the project.

This is exactly right. Banking website have to comply with countless rules and regulations. BitCoin websites are setup by people with no practical experience of building secure sites and those people always miss things.

What's interesting is how all of these activities tend to drive the community toward the kinds of rules and regulations that many tend to despise.. I know the answer will be that "we can do it better" but ultimately I think it will drive down the same path because the community as a whole isn't much different, ultimately purists aren't driving the value of bitcoins, the same types that play in other financial markets are.
1374  Economy / Goods / Re: Asus Ares MIB (1gh/s) or trade for FPGA Miner(s) on: June 19, 2012, 06:51:10 PM
What's the condition of the card? Any scratches to speak of? Any residue? Are the extras in the box still sealed? If so, you could probably pass it off as new and sell it on amazon, That's what I did with one of mine, got $1600 for it. Sold the other for about that much in BTC. Not bad for having paid $800 each on newegg. So what is you asking price, anyway? I might be interested to sell another one on Amazon, if you know what I mean!  Cool

And as far as two 7970's being better, you're still looking at 4 slots as opposed to 3.  Roll Eyes

So integrity doesn't count in your book, hope your not trying to improve your reputation here given how you misrepresent items..
1375  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Problems running 3+ GPUs (bounty) on: May 25, 2012, 01:27:48 PM
On Windows I had better luck running 5+ GPUs using the 12.x drivers but it was never stable for long periods of time if at all.

You may not want to hear it but if you want to run more then 4 reliably you might have better luck jumping to Linux. I have run 8 for weeks on end with anywhere between 4 (4x5970)and 6 (2x5970 4x5870) physical cards and everything works great.
1376  Economy / Lending / Re: I am looking to borrow 10,000 BTC to expand my current bussiness. on: May 19, 2012, 11:31:24 PM
Bottom line is that if he owns his properties free and clear and has decent credit as stated any bank would drop him an equity loan with one of the investment properties as collateral,  they don't ask nor care what you do with the money in that case..
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Emergency ANN] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: May 16, 2012, 09:06:52 PM
I've experienced much the same in my professional life and seen many hundred of thousands, if not millions of dollars being invested to "secure" a system (using the term in the abstract) without a comprehensive understanding of the system from end-to-end. I make a great living helping commercial and govt. customers address issues and generally the breakdown isn't that one person is or isn't an expert at everything but rather a lack of understanding with respect to what they do and do not know.

Many people, including those that "secured" Bitcoinica have a certain focus area that does not seem to extend into the OS, physical security, access mechanisms, etc. and while quite valuable as a component of a comprehensive solution they are not a solution in themselves and that is the fundamental breakdown.  I don't think this latest theft and the subsequent work to address will ultimately fix anything unless they bring in additional consultants that can provide a end-to-end plan to access and address the system, software, processes, etc...
1378  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: "Drop-in" miner for Mac OS X (10.6 and 10.7)? on: May 03, 2012, 01:08:31 PM
Modern? Are you looking for specific features or a UI, asking because DiabloMiner is by no means outdated and is kept up with all of the latest optimizations, etc..

It sure is, but it would require compilation now, wouldnt it?

No, it's a Java app and Diablo compiles it regularly, just download Java binary and run it...

Surprised the tool is still a top 10 since others are maintaining a higher average hash rate, hopefully the tide will turn..
