1263  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 1x to 16x Molex Powered and unpowered risers on: January 18, 2014, 10:41:57 PM
Bump.. Still have more available..
1264  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 1x to 16x Molex Powered and unpowered risers on: January 18, 2014, 04:35:52 AM
Have a few dozen of each due to over ordering in the past few months. Selling those I don't see myself using. Usually I use 2 unpowered risers, with powered risers handling the rest of the cards in any builds I do.

I accept Bitcoin and some altcoins, Paypal also supported if fees are paid by buyer.

Powered Risers:

1-3:  $15 USD each
4-9:  $14 USD each
10+: $13 USD each

Unpowered Risers:

1-3:  $10 USD each
4-9:  $9 USD each
10+: $8 USD each

Shipping:
$4 to USA flat-rate. Can also ship internationally but PM for shipping cost.

Absolutely perfect. No modded cgminer, no modded drivers, no modded anything. Fan speed, clock speeds, and temp display works flawless...

Super easy. Install 13.10, "saucy salamander" then install beta 13.11 drivers released 1/8/13. Then, install cgminer 3.7.2 and go to town.

Haven't "tuned" the cards at all yet. I want 5MH/s from this one rig  Wink

What motherboard are you using with those? I've been hit or miss with 6 GPU and different Z87 motherboards, interested in what manufacturer/model/chipset you are using?
1266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: January 17, 2014, 10:52:18 PM
Can ports be soldered into the November batch Jupiter's to be able to add upgrade boards?

A number of folks have done it without issue..
1267  Economy / Lending / Re: 30BTC New Business on: January 17, 2014, 02:31:52 PM
So let me get this straight.

Your company, which is currently "nothing".  No employees, no product, no nothing, just a thought in your head that is not even innovative in the slightest... is worth $300,000.

Just want to confirm that.

I expect you've never worked in high risk investments or the VC space.. I'm not saying by any means this specific OPs plan doesn't have significant issues, gaps, or any realistic chance. In the market those with the money demand a majority stake unless you are working a true crowd funding venture in which case it generally needs to be more mature.

In any case many future companies which are no more than an idea will definitely pull funding like that, it doesn't necessarily need to be innovate either, perhaps positioned better.. It's one mechanism people use to get off the ground when they themselves do not have the capital.
1268  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: KnC Miner : Security hacked - Take remote control over miner! on: January 15, 2014, 05:38:22 PM
Since KnC does not even thanks me for writing a detailed report, consuming several hours of my time, it's not worth it to me to write another one.
They DID implent every bugfix and security improvement i emailed them, and now taking credit for it... Lame ass f*ckers!

If the script kiddies find out this new (ridiculous) bug in the miners, rest assured that many rigs will be taken over.

Sure they could have said something and should have, but are sure it was in fact you and not someone else that emailed them before you but followed industry best practice and didn't make a post on a public forum with a lot of the technical details?

Of course this reply continues to destroy any creditability with respect to the massive amount of professional experience you say you have. As you continue this campaign I doubt more and more you were genuine to begin with and were at best a fame seeker, at worse malicious..

DIFF....35.22%    10d 6hr 31m 6s    WTF?
http://allchains.info/

Isn't it fairly inaccurate for a little while as the new diff settles in? Meaning by tomorrow sometime it should level out some more..
If you don't know the answer of this question, then you should not be called a miner.
Come on guys, don't let the bar drop so low...
Just think of what would happen to the difficulty if hypothetically all miners stop hashing tomorrow.

My only point was the next difficulty is an estimate and a larger temporal sample size provides a more accurate estimate but I'll yield you since I might be a moron on this one..

1277  Economy / Auctions / Re: 360GH KnCminer Saturn November shipment LOCATION: AUSTRALIA on: January 08, 2014, 05:21:54 AM
Hi guys, unfortunately I will have to end the Auction early as I have received an offer to ship early. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Way to build your reputation not following the terms of your own auction... Looking forward to more..

Flash auction til tomorrow for an October upgrade module that never made it into my Saturn, now Jupiter. Came straight as an RMA from KNC.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=401036.0

Thought it would get more attention here.

The challenge is that even at 3 BTC the buyer is perhaps -0.5BTC ROI.. It's all speculation either way though..

1280  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: January 06, 2014, 08:56:20 PM
Just jumped upto 231 myself...put copper heatsinks on vrms and removed pci extenders cause i was only getting 11.5v on one module and the extenders were getting very hot...running great now 12v-11.9v on all modules now, temps are 64, 57, 53, 52 with 2 fans on rear modules...around 55-56a per vrm and getting around .8% hw errors...up .4% from 211 but i suppose i could push alittle more volts and lower it and getting around 660-680 poolside on eligius Smiley ty ty maybe i'll make ROI outta this machine yet...7 btc more n its party time!! Thanks for this thread  Grin

Great point about the PCI extenders, I need to take a look at that as well since my back modules seem to be running 11.6-.7.. Given your experience any recommendations on how to run the cables, or did you manage to find a power supply with long enough PCIe power cables?
