Well, I think we finally have to face reality and move our greed to the next level:

A new Bitcoin Randomizer has just been launched.
The interface looks neat, there are currently less than 50 participants, and you will loose only BTC 0.5 in any case.  Grin

1043  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: June 28, 2011, 01:47:10 PM
Me too... Angry

Seems like BitLex has no intention to do anything about the game...

Should we call this a scam?

Just to keep this up...

BitLex has been last active yesterday. I wonder why there is no statement regarding the Randomizer....
1046  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Tradehill - MtGox Konkurrenz mit Eurohandel! on: June 13, 2011, 07:21:08 PM
1047  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin Randomizer, just a stupid pyramid scheme on: June 13, 2011, 06:55:13 PM
Any updates BitLex?

+1

Will he get rid of the project this way  Huh

Certainly not  Grin
1048  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Tradehill - MtGox Konkurrenz mit Eurohandel! on: June 11, 2011, 03:39:16 PM

No new input yet - Current BTC\USD: ~ 27.0 (Mt. Gox @ http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/)

@supercool: If there are future games I will certainly think over the naming. However I don't want to change it since the game is running now.

@Jimmy2011: This is not a better option, because: (1) A 0.01 fee is charged for every transaction by the system (not by me) - so introducing more transactions - apart from being more effortful to execute & track- would also produce additional costs. (2) It would not improve transparency, since due to how the system works the balance of a single bitcoin address does not necessarily represent the true balance caused by all transactions related to this address, because if coins are sent from this address, there is also a return of coins to a newly generated address of the sender. So regardless of using separate addresses for bet and commission, it is still necessary to provide a self-computed balance for easy overview. The math of the current practice is quity simple - winners get twice their payment minus 0.02 BTC and the available balance is the nominal balance minus 0.01 BTC for every payment made.

@bitcoinlottery: Sorry for using this name as part of my name. Didn't know it was your invention (thought it was a general term for this kind of game) - although I don't find it confusing, as game is described in detail. If there is a new game I will change the name though.

@supercool: Yes that's basically correct. But please: Don't play, if you don't understand the rules! You can loose BTC! BTC lost due to the rules of this game will not be refunded. Please note also: The 1.00 limit was introduced to limit risk. Please use the discussion thread, as I want to keep this thread well-arranged.

So I'd be happy read your comments. What do you think about the concept?

instawallet looks nice. maybe the "adress-thing" is not safe enough, though... would like to see a really neat and safe interface. if there is nothing more competitive i maybe start programming one. however i am a bit paranoid of repression Wink

+1

do it, we need more these safe-and-easy-things
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selloff! on: June 08, 2011, 08:34:39 PM
Let it rain, Baby!  Grin

I could talk about Bitcoin prices all day long.

I think the talking will get less if the price drops...

(No, I'm bullish for BTC)
