Just noticed that we've reached "shave and a haircut" parity. The old secret knock is becoming true once again.

you pay $38 for a shave and a haircut?

my barber does it for 0.5 BTC ($9.50).

Mine does it for BTC 0.37 (dry machien cut only) - that's the reason I don't use my head as an avatar...
1083  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE!! on: June 06, 2011, 05:31:15 PM

They should design something like HD 7870 Bitcoin Edition for very fast mining Wink

There is seriously a market for such a thing!
1085  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin under attack? Where did the sudden increase in hashrate come from? on: June 06, 2011, 05:22:27 PM
Difficulty just changed, peoples' graphs are screwed up.

He's right. Bitcoin charts calculation of network has speed is related to difficulty. After every "visible" change the calculated hash rate jumps and then settles down in a day or two. It's happen every difficulty jump. People need to use search function.

Thanks for this information!

This program did not payout to me since days (with bonus claimed). It's probably a waste of time.

Step 1: Stop using that Swiss cheese shite put out by Microsoft!

If you can do that, you can figure out the rest...

Do you want BTC to be a currency for geeks or one for the masses?

If you want the latter you have keep in mind that most people like cheese...  Smiley

Was soll an einer normalen EU-Überweisung denn bitte umständlich sein?
Daten rein, TAN, 2-3 Klicks, fertig.

1096  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [Announce] [NSFW] Bitcoin Babes - Pay Per View - No Login on: June 06, 2011, 02:38:32 PM
So porn finally arrives to bitcoin!

We should celebrate this event, as porn industry has always been the front-runner in adoption of new technologies...  Wink

Why don't you put the link into your signature and start posting like hell?  Wink

This Ponzi scheme needs some effort but it still works...
1099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: security concern on: June 06, 2011, 02:16:19 PM
I was also very concerned about this. This is a major security flaw in the bitcoin client. As more non-tech people start using bitcoin, they are not going to know how to secure the wallet.

The bitcoin client should use a password to encrypt the wallet.dat file. This should be done ASAP.

Do not wait for such a virus program to come out before fixing this. Can you imagine what would happen to the reputation of bitcoin if this happened.

1100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could JS Bitcoin Mining Replace Google's Adsense? on: June 06, 2011, 10:24:33 AM
While I also dislike the Adwords monopoly I would clearly seek out any measure available to block scripts that slow down my computer, produce heat (= wearing my hardware), and increase my electricity costs.
