961  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BDT - 3% weekly interest bond, backed by Bitdaytrade on: July 21, 2012, 09:19:31 AM

The scheduled coupons will be paid starting July 27. On July 20 a coupon of 0.005 BTC per bond will be paid as it is only one day after the IPO.

What about this?

Could be a very interesting investment if contract is kept... Wink
962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinica MtGox account compromised on: July 13, 2012, 11:47:02 AM
No, this is not the users' fault. Why should the bitcoinica users eat all the loss?

+1

It makes no sense to make us eat the loss. That is their own fault. They need to all stop taking a paycheck like Zhou did and/or start eating muesli with even cheaper milk and cough up the money out of pocket.

Some of us have undeniable proof and we want our money back.

963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinica MtGox account compromised on: July 13, 2012, 10:39:01 AM
This has been one of the most stressful situations with maximum suffering I have ever experienced. I am furious and I hope everyone involved putting us through this gets what's due to them. Karma is a bitch, you fucking wankers.

Right. Because this has not been the most stressful time of my life.

[...] spent 3 days eating bad muesli and cheap milk. [...] I'm feeling depression, and I'm a little worried [...] I've started sleeping very long, being very lethargic and apathetic.

Seems like my own life. Grin
Except I was never involved in such an epic fraud.
964  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: July 13, 2012, 10:31:24 AM
The bullshit just keeps piling up.

...and yet STILL no scammer tags?!?   Huh

Yeah they should have been tagged long ago...

btw: Did anyone already compile a list of the persons involved in this scam and the most important facts?
965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinica MtGox account compromised on: July 13, 2012, 10:19:04 AM
Maybe some jail time for some of those would be the best that could happen to bitcoin. Those guys are criminal careless with other peoples bitcoins. In the past Bitcoin Consultancy did seek government regulation of bitcoin. Now give a good example and report yourself to the police.

Maybe some jail time would also be the best that could happen to these scammers.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinica MtGox account compromised on: July 13, 2012, 09:43:44 AM
Who's gonna believe this?

At least it's funny to see the whole epic story of this properly executed fraud.

However I can imagine a lot of people finally loosing their good manners.
Therefore it could become of outmost importance for the perpetrators to take the diffusion of responsibility to the next level.

Don't know if I have coins still sitting there. But I'll try to get them. Wink

Regardless: Thumbs up for showing responsibility and sorting it out!

Edit: Got my Bitcents! Thx! Smiley
970  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] Zeta Bitcoin Mining - Perpetual Mining Bond on: July 10, 2012, 04:22:03 PM
How about an update?

While dividends are flowing nicely, investors still might be interested in the current status of the FPGA mining.

Moreover I think this quality asset deserves more attention from the investment community. Smiley
971  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 6 BTC to someone who comes up with a slogan I like on: July 03, 2012, 12:03:33 PM
"we promise a lot of things"
"all of our contests are open ended"
"we vanish like satoshi"
"we don't value you're opinion thaaaat much"
"we shit on forums"
"keep trying!"

"We double down on promises each time we failed to keep them."

"No, we don't have to!"

"At least we wrote a disclaimer."

972  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: July 01, 2012, 06:14:19 PM
requesting additional information, pointing to external difficulties, claiming not being the one (fully) in charge, promising something "soon" <= typically done by the average scammer to buy time thereby increasing the likelihood people giving up on their claims and making it easier for the perpetrator to escape from prosecution
973  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Payout Updates] Bitcoinica site is taken offline for security investigation on: July 01, 2012, 05:18:28 PM
Any information you have can help your claim get processed faster:

- MtGox deposit codes
- Any emails received from Bitcoinica
- Photograph of your ID to prove account ownership
- Bitcoin transaction IDs or addresses used with Bitcoinica.

Send any information to bitcoinica.reimburse@gmail.com

Just to get it straight: You cannot oblige people to accept this as a condition for getting their BTC back if they did not consent to Bitscamica's usage conditions to provide such information in the first place.

Who in his right mind is going to send personal information to people like you?

I really hope law will be enforced in this case.
974  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predict the next 2 years, no take-backsies on: June 09, 2012, 04:36:02 PM
I think my BTC value prediction for 2012 is already failing, the value is rising TOO rapidly! Of course it might be a bubble or slow down again...
(Glad I bought a bunch at 5.06)

Anyways I'm long so it's fine.

I think it's very difficult to predict an exact price target for Bitcoin because of the mostly nonlinear nature of price movements in general and the high volatility of Bitcoin in particular. I suppose we are about to enter another bubble phase right now.

Given the uncertain economic situation globally (a catalyst for Bitcoin) with its possible intense effects on monetary policy, prediction of Bitcoin pricing should better be expressed in relation to a relatively supply-inelastic commodity. Using gold as such a commodity I would predict a BTC price of 5-10% POG by mid-2014.

Unless a fundamental design flaw is discovered, I expect that upcoming problems (whether technical or political) will be overcome due to the high motivation of the existing bitcoiners to preserve their investment.

I can only recommend reading TT's reaction over here and then think over, if he/she will ever find any slogan acceptable....

"TizzyTazzy - We close every thread."

Ok. That's enough trolling for my part.
976  Economy / Services / Re: Diablo III Power Leveling / Gold on: May 28, 2012, 11:57:21 AM
Hey Tizzy, you already have 8 pages of slogans in your other thread, are you going to select a winner or what ? Sorry for the off-topic but you didn't post in thread lately.

I don't have a clue why you would post this question here, you could have PMed me.

My thread states this:

"If I like it enough to use your slogan I'll send a bitcoin your way!"

So far I do not like any of the slogans anyone has given, most of them aren't even trying or posting irrelevant slogans.

Sorry for another OT but:

Some were not so bad at all. What do you expect by offering just 1 BTC and not taking care of the thread most of the time?  Huh
977  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 free BTC to someone who comes up with a slogan I like on: May 26, 2012, 05:12:12 PM
Back to topic.

Here's another multi-trillion-satoshi one:

I like We spell SERVICE uppercase.

Yeah, normally I would charge around BTC 2000-5000 for slogans like this - but today just 1 BTC. What a bargain... Grin

1) We are hosting.

2) Your slaves in hosting.

3) We spell SERVICE uppercase.

...and of course ...

4) We've tricked hundreds of users into brainstorming at the bitcoin forum by offering a lousy 1 BTC reward so we are smart enough to host your sh*t!  Grin
