Hello,
It seems that the "numberOfBlocks" from getState request is 1 less than the block height in the webpage, I want to make it sure when the alias system is activate? when numberOfBlocks>=22000, or the block height>=22000?

Thanks!

nice catch and great question.  Can you post the API request for that?  And I guess this is a question for CfB

Is there any public node available atm? Need to send some tx and the client started to fuck up with me again Sad
You can use https://nxtwallet.com:7875/
People need to be aware that using a public wall it instead of localhost you you can expose your passphrase

for people who are forging i have a question. the more answers the better. how many coins are you forging with and how many blocks are you averaging per day?

Look at http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=30, this is statistics that u need, I believe.

Thanks thats a useful link. However i still hope for some people to tell us about their experiences.

You can easily get this information from the block Explorer just click on an account and it will tell you all the time mining information ]

Does the guy with the highest fee for a certain Alias get it?

see link in my post 2 above yours

is it OK to submit for an alias with just the long format of http://localhost:6874/nxt?requestType=assignAlias&secretPhrase=123&alias=Google&uri=http://google.com&fee=1&deadline=1440  but just leave the &uri= null?

in the testnxt system, i put in an alias request like this and gave it 3 mins for deadine, and no one built a block for me.

my last block in the testnxt is 161, is this up to date?

Maybe noone is forging on the testnet? U can use empty string as URI, null will become "null".

well.. im forging on the testnxt.  at least i thought i should be as I do have some next.  very few peers though, only 2 active, 0 known, and 1 blocklisted.  so shouldnt I generate most blocks if there are any to be created, since there are so few peers?  Also Im not getting the "you can generate the next block..." indicator.

http://coinmarketcap.com/ shows incorrect number of coins. It's 999'997'987 now.

Second request on market cap to thread to have this resolved: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199685.msg4042385#msg4042385

Some people have been destroying their NXT by sending it to the unusable negative account.  Per developer, please use  http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getBalance&account=1739068987193023818 to get a true measure of amount of NXT. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg3997764#msg3997764

On the new 0.3.20 client, note that the value returned is negative, please just use the absolute val of what is returned.  Also, please note that there are 2 zeros at the end that should be taken off

I have completely re-organized and moved the Nxt Wiki to

http://nxtcrypto.wikia.com/wiki/

It was getting too big for one page (the FAQ is now a page on its own at http://nxtcrypto.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ) and the administrator for the old wiki has disappeared, making high-level changes (adding logos, menus, etc.) impossible.

This was a big change and I'm sorry for the new URL, but it had to be done!

The GOOD news is that the new structure allows me to start documenting details of the API, alias and colored coin features, etc., as information comes available.  The "single page" on the old wiki was getting far too large.

I'm quite happy with the new setup and my goal is for the wiki to be THE definitive source of Nxt information!

Awesome. i was gearing up to do exactly that. it was getting way too unwieldy. it looks like you have used content from my article, please note its been updated with transparent mining https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345773.msg3980304#msg3980304

Thanks again this was ssorely needed, hopefully someone will give you a bounty for that. ill get you a small one from the forums' fund

Will we be given any advance notice of when the alias system will be implemented in a new client?  dont want to miss my choice of names..
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: December 19, 2013, 03:07:35 AM
im doing the nextcoin giveaway, giving 10NXT to all who posted in the thread...  Thanks to all who donated to our board fund...

I have 13 pages of accounts begging NXT!  Is there ANY way to construct a transfer of 10NXT to a list of account numbers?
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BOUNTY] Announcements for Nxt (the first pure POS coin) on: December 19, 2013, 02:30:29 AM
@psybits: I reviewed and sent my feedback for your draft that is supposed to be used for the media coverage.

@JohnyBTCSeed: as I mentioned before you ll get 50K for your compilation, but yes if you make a more complete articles from it with some pictures and schematic flowcharts you may win the whole. As for the translation, I decided to distribute it among various translators proportionally.

@lynxx: my initial decision is to give you 300K for your video and distribute 200K among others, but if you prevail to include those features mentioned by me before and make it a bit more colorful and animated, you ll get the whole 500K. Also you ll be the creator of our first official Nxt video!

And finally a guy named wesleyh messaged me yesterday evening reporting me about his creation of an easy to use Mac client. He was upset because he did not received much of a donation for his work. He asked if we hold a bounty and give him some rewards. Since our pool is very limited and kept only to supply the bounty prizes for already posted projects by me, I told him he is better to post the details of his work and the links here, so other people can read and check the client and then donate to his work if they find it valuable. But I had not been calm after replying his pm that way, cause if we really do not reward people who are doing the more technical necessary serious part of the work, Nxt will not be much more successful than all those shitcoins flying out there, as Nxt needs skillful passionate people to continue its success to wider acceptance and popularity.
So here I ask wesleyh to put his clients links and details for public review. If klee who uses Mac verify that the client is working okay and is well designed and user friendly, I ll give wesleyh 100K from our donation pool and hope other people also take a part and send him some coin to thank him.

no critiques on my submission?
