all... to really make this coin go mainstream and REALLY GET BIG will require ALL of us (especially those who mined shittons of it from the start) to periodically sell a bit at the market rate, so as to get distribution and use out.
Im a simple investor, just today bought my first quark, less than 30K, just as a gamble b/c at this point the market cap and graphs look good and it seems like a good bet with low risk high reward.
Bitcoin becames successful easily b/c it was the only game in town, and it was a monopoly for a long bit, and pure supply/demand caught on.
Now its different. For this to be successful, you guys with shittons carry the future. If you truly want quarks to take over not only DONT do a dump, but you'll have to make it available on the market in order for it to catch on.

I would like to state publicly here that myself along with a growing group of others have been attempting to acquire control of www.infinitecoin.org for some time from Heju22 here on the forums so that we can keep it updated and use it to quickly distribute new versions of the client. This is integral to the success of this coin. To date Heju22 has been completely negligent in managing this site and completely unresponsive to any communications AFTER he already agreed to submit control of it to myself in order to update it with more features and a more professional looking layout. We need something that is not a haphazardly designed wordpress site. As I said Heju22 is completely unresponsive to any communications recently but had the time to add some affiliate links to the site even tho he never participates in the community any longer or updates the site. This kind of negligence and mismanagement is holding IFC back and I would like to move it forward by further developing this integral position of growth for IFC. Things like this cause problems like people not knowing which client to download! We don't have time to wait weeks or months for you to update client fixes, please release control to us so we can actually use it to serve the community! in NXT, 'mining' is only when you process transactions and receive a fee for it. Or whenever the protocol decides there is a demand (based on the as yet to be released p2p decentralized exchange). In either case, you must have coins already. Look for one of the NXT giveaway threads. IM me your NXT address and Ill send you some as well. If I can. Ive tried to send in the past but cant seem to get it to work. At least thats how I understand. Ive purchased a little chunk of NXT myself, and have my wallet unlocked in Java, but dont think Ive yet to gain any transaction fees. Not sure how often I should see anything. |

non sequitur, at least for the long term. Let me explain For the most part, Any coin can take the place of any other coin. Its not like you can start replacing different metals in different applications. So not only do those metals have intrinsic inherent value, the also have (like crypto currencies have), monetary value. IMO most of these alt coin jumps WILL drop back down in the near future as the speculation market peaks. Only those with revolutionary features will ever overcome BTC/LTC. And then even if the developer has some solid economic theorys about the mechanism of the coin, and then if he can also get it marketed correctly (ie, if he can explain exacly how his coin is different, and how those differences solve economic and technical issues, and market the new features). Yes I hold lots of different shitcoins that are making BANK now. Ill dump em like everyone else will when the time is right. Ill keep the next generation candidate coins (peer/prime/ripple/nxt/soontobereleasedEMUNIE) that I have invested in. |

Yes, I hadn't noticed that. It appears that this is how the API sends it. Can anyone confirm? not sure but I believe those may be implicit decimals. are 2 decimals the most these NXT can be divided? Also, I tried sending 10 NXT on 2 separate instances, both times it said complete/done, but I see nothing in my transactions or in unconfirmed |

can someone explain the concept of an "empty" account? I thought that technically there are like a bajillion empty accounts since an account is identified by the passphrase, thus infinite pass phrase possibilities mean many empty accounts?

U should continue, coz this greatly increases dispersion of coins / userbase. U will get more profit in the long run. what that guy said... just reading up on the whole model of nxt..... its one of the required things for this coin to go big. that and the advanced features need to come out |
