3181  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Solo BTC mining - I will hit that block! on: September 01, 2021, 03:00:21 PM

If you check this chart, you will notice an indirect factor related to the price and Bitcoin cycles, in which the return from mining decreases after halving bump cycle, and during the coming months, many expect the price of Bitcoin to rise, and therefore you will find that more mining devices will enter the network and therefore the return will decrease during the next three months to The end of the year (the price of Bitcoin rises) and historically the return decreases after each halving dump, and therefore if you want to try your luck, it is better to do so from the month of 4-6 of the next year.

to calculate your luck= total network hashrate/"potential" hash rate.
Therefore, your chances may change dramatically and it is wrong to rely on single mining because you may not achieve any income.
3182  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Confused between mining and holding on: September 01, 2021, 01:54:08 PM
When you mine a currency (mainly bitcoin,) you are not just betting on its future, but you are betting on bearing losses, if you do not do your calculations accurately, the probability of your loss is higher than the average compared to buying.

Mining is related to the continued rise in the price of the currency compared to your accurate calculations to obtain more blocks and thus make a profit, and it is a science related to several factors such as electricity costs, space, and economics of cost, which studies the costs of depreciation, the possibility of obtaining an alternative opportunity to mine another altcoins and others.

So you have a lot of options, but if you don't study it carefully, changing plans can be costly.

As for buying the currency, it is the easiest, it does not require a lot of calculations, and you have a good chance to do it if the price collapses by 60% to 89%.

There are several strategies but I would prefer you to buy when a crash occurs and then follow DCA rather than mining unless you have a good plan and do everything carefully.

3185  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Coinbase wallet, missing 3 recovery word on: August 31, 2021, 12:02:10 PM
There are 2048 possibilities for each word.
The first word can go into one of any 12 position in your wallet seed, therefore 2048*12. The next in any of 11, and the last one is 10.

so you will have total of 2048 * 12 * 2048 * 11 * 2048 * 10, or 2048^3 * 10 * 11* 12 which eq= 1.1338714e+13

a normal computer, with 500,000 attempts per second need less than 10 Years. (worse case)

Thus, a normal computer may need a few years, but adding more physical devices may reduce that time for several months, and perhaps days. The matter depends on the economics of cost, which is calculating costs for the physical devices and the money that exists in that seed.

If you know any letter, a place for the word, the shape of the word or part of it, you will reduce the time, perhaps a few days on a regular computer, so try to remember anything because it will reduce the time a lot.

3192  Economy / Speculation / Do you think this is the last four year cycle? on: August 30, 2021, 05:32:16 AM
The decrease in the quantity supplied was one of the factors that lead to the continuous rise in the price of Bitcoin and it is expressed in what is known as the Bitcoin four-year cycle chart.

Do you think from this point forward price will not correlate with the halving?
I mean that the effect of the "halving pump" is over and has not become as effective as it was in the past as the price will not be associated with a significant increase after a year from the last rise.

There is still more than 100 years of mining to reach all the total coins and therefore it must be broken within a few years or become of little impact, especially with many coins in circulation and few of them to be mined.

3194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [GUIDE] ETH Gas Prices on: August 29, 2021, 01:53:01 PM
Table of contents

      1. What Is Gas?
      2. List of Gas Trackers
      3. Why Gas Prices are High?
      4. Layer 2 and which ones should you try?
      5. Are other chains as good as they claim?

What Is Gas?

Ethereum is the network (aka blockchain network), Ether is the Engine or supplier for that network.
when you do anything on the Ethereum blockchain, you must pay for that payment is calculated in gas which is paid in ETH.

It does not matter whether your transaction succeeded or failed. Even if you fail, miners must validate and execute your transaction and you are required to pay gas fee.

  • open Etherscan.io and use can see transaction fee in ETH & USD.
  • fee is paid to miners for mining transactions, putting them into blocks, and securing the blockchain.
  • gas limit: total cost of a transaction multiplied by the gas price and it's the maximum amount of units of gas you are willing to spend on a transaction
  • gas limit like the amount of liters of gas for a car
  • gas price as the cost of that liter of gas
  • Gwei is just a unit of Ether it is equal to 0.000000001 ETH

If you want to spend less on a transaction, you can do so by lowering the amount you pay per unit of gas.

List of Gas Trackers

Why Gas Prices are High?

Ethereum is getting more and more popular, more projects use Ethereum blockchain in NFTs, DeFi, Mainnet.
Gas prices are subject to their own markets of supply and demand
more people send transactions, gas prices will increase to reflect that
Average Gas Limit Chart shows the historical increasing gas limit of the Ethereum network. https://etherscan.io/chart/gaslimit

What are L2s and which ones should you try?

they all offload some of the demand from mainnet Ethereum while maintaining some or most of the security guarantees.

Remember, even though these protocols are promising, they are still early versions. Use with your own risk

list of L2s that are live now or soon that you can try out

Are other chains as good as they claim?

"come to ____ chain, we've got low / no fees!!" no fees is always true:

  • They cut corners on decentralization - most frequently by increasing the hardware or bandwidth requirements for nodes.
  • They are hiding the true costs - like requiring users to stake funds to send transactions
  • They will eventually run into the same issues as Ethereum - more users will inevitably lead to more congestion.

3195  Economy / Trading Discussion / [GUIDE] Position Size on: August 22, 2021, 01:28:27 PM

Disclaimer: The information's contained in this explanation is the result of my understanding of Position Size and may contain some errors. Search and confirm about it.

Table of contents

      1. Introduction
      2. Why is that important?
      3. What is position size?
      4. How to determine account risk?
      5. How to calculate position size?
      6. Hash function properties
      7. Hash function & Mining

Introduction

Not knowing how to manage risk leads will leads you to lose your money, no matter your technical knowledge and the size of your portfolio, so you find, for example, that a person has about $ 1,000 in his account, got an entry confirmation and did all the technical analyzes to ensure the opportunity to make profits if he buying or selling at that point, but there is still One important thing to do. He has to calculate the size of the position he will take.

Ignoring the right risk management practice will result in a huge loss in a short time. You will lose all years of hard work.

Why is that important?

Making emotional decisions is a disaster when you want to trade, when it comes to risks, you must avoid emotions.
A lot of people understand "risk management" as trying to fit stop loss orders so that they are too narrow to be too risky. This is a totally wrong strategy.

You will need to think about things like: How much capital can you take? The goal of the investment? Return on investment that achieves zero loss? But we will talk about a basic measure that many neglect, which is the size of your positions for individual deals.

What is position size?

position size allows traders to have a fixed amount of risk per deal regardless of the size or the smallness of the market movement

position size:                     Risk Amount / Distance to stop loss.
Risk amount:                         Amount (normally USD) that you going to risk (1% rule.)
Stop loss:                              price level that you think your trade is invalidated in which you exit to prevent losses.
Distance to Stop loss:             (Entry price - Stop loss price) / Entry price

How to determine account risk?

it is determination of the percentage of capital that can be risked in one transaction involves.
It is better to give the same risks in all deals and give them all equal opportunities but if you are very confident in the analysis, increase the risks provided that it does not exceed 10% and that you do not use emotions.

The 2% rule:

It is an appropriate strategy for highly volatile markets that need to define long-term positions.
If you are active, you may use The 1% rule.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to determining your stop loss. Therefore, you will have to start with fixed rates and then decide for yourself the strategy that best suits your style.

How to calculate position size?

Let's say we have an account with $ 10,000. We have demonstrated that we do not risk more than 1% in one trade and after analyzing the market we decided that our business idea was nullified by 5%:

Account size : $ 10,000
Account risk : 1%
Invalidation point : 5%

position size = account size x account risk / invalidation point = $10,000 x 0.01 / 0.05 = $2000

Thus we can mitigate the impact of a price collapse.

It is not related to strategy but to determining the levels of risk you want to face.

No we want to buy BTC at $8,000 and our SopLimit below key support level at $7,000 .
the Distance to SL would be ($8,000 - $7,000) / $8,000 = 0.125.
Now lets say our risk amount to be $100 per trade, the Position size in this example is thus equal to $100 / 0.125 = $800

Are there any wallet implement such a concept or something close to it?

The idea is to have a signing key key with a number of trustees (guardians) and the sign key can change the trustees and a number of trustees can change the signing key.

I expect this event to be worth some after a few years.
3199  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: U.S. infrastructure bill and Bitcoin on: August 09, 2021, 10:27:56 AM
I've always thought that there is a correlation between interest levels and bitcoin prices as I think some companies might prefer to hold bitcoins rather than cash as Tesla did.

I don't think people will think the same way and I don't know if the money of these people is enough to move the price and we are all at the beginning of a long upward path.
3200  Economy / Services / [W] twitter services and accounts on: August 09, 2021, 08:21:13 AM
I want to buy twitter followers and twitter accounts.
For accounts, I want 3 accounts with about 100 followers, and the creation date is a year or two ago.
I also want to buy 500 followers, and about 100 likes and retweets.

If you can do this service PM me
Why, you are going to buy twitter account instead of creating your own? Also, why you want to buy followers whom you do not know and who does not you. Buying/selling accounts can be increased the chance of scamming and/or spamming. Also, operating multi account is against the twitter's policy. Correct me, if I am wrong.
Creating a new account increases the chance of being banned if it performs any activity. For example, if you reply to many accounts, you will be banned.
As for the number of followers, I noticed that interacting with a new account with zero followers increases the chance of being suspended because the system automatically detects it as spam.

He probably needs account for some service, and a few years old account looks more a little bit more legit than a rand new one. But yeah, it is imho waste of money but to each his own.
It is not a waste of money, but a guarantee of not wasting effort, imagine that you create an account and communicate with users and get banned

Do you know about Twiends.com, OP? You only need 100 followers that is not a big number and you can easily to get it.
I do not need a large number of followers, but the main purpose is not to automatically classify the account as spam, and therefore 100 to 500 is enough. I also believe that increasing followers with fake accounts is a waste of money, but as I said above, I want to stay away from the automatic Twitter algorithm.
