2201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as wealth. on: January 22, 2023, 09:01:32 PM
Let me go to the point trading has to do with either physical market or online marketing also know as digital marketing. On digital marketing trader are likely to use cryptocurrency which can be .

When was bitcoin used for digital marketing? Or since when do people spend their bitcoins just like dollars?
The percentage of bitcoin acceptance in large stores and popular shopping sites is small, and some resort to indirect ways to buy with bitcoins, and therefore bitcoin is not the number one currency in digital marketing.

Existing variants can only differ by adoption and further adoption.

Gold
How can gold be used to buy something digital or even something real without going through paper money? Even the settlement of transactions, even if they were done with gold, is done with the value of paper money and not with the weights of gold.
2202  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 22, 2023, 08:37:30 PM
One of the signs that reassures me is that no one knows the reason for the recent rise.

After several attempts to break 18K levels, we did it easily, which means that something has happened, but its details have not been published yet, which means that in order to remain above these levels, we need a confirmation signal by staying close to ~23k to ~28k which is something the price continues to do.

What will happen if we do not continue to this extent? Simply, we will return to the support level at 18K, and we may continue until March.
Geopolitical changes and the global economy will severely affect the coming months.
2203  Economy / Economics / Re: After Budgeting, How Do I Deal With Unexcepted Expenses? on: January 22, 2023, 07:49:08 PM
I understand how you feel, but the nature of unexpected events can be greatly reduced. My advice to you is as follows:

  • Socials: Most of the unexpected things come when you are socially active, you will be associated with more people (their behavior is unpredictable), which means that the probability of unexpected events will increase.
  • Habits: Undisciplined people with habits are often more vulnerable to unexpected financial events.
  • You pay people first: whether it's the government, rent, social services, and more.

As for the solution, it is to stay away from people, isolate, pay bills at the last minute, and focus on investing, especially if you are young and do not have many responsibilities.
2204  Economy / Economics / Re: Power outages causes huge economic loss in south Africa. on: January 22, 2023, 07:32:40 PM
In an industry such as raising poultry in farms, electricity is an important variable because power outages for several hours are enough to kill many of them, let alone days later.

Therefore, in my country and many countries, they are required to have a back-up generator that does not work for several hours and solar panels, and I do not think that someone who wants to invest seriously will ignore the provision of a backup energy source, especially in poultry farming that needs constant air conditioning, accurate temperature control and ventilation using large fans .

I would sympathize with the story if the government promised to restore electricity at a time and failed to do so.
2205  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Was Binance aware of the impending bankruptcy of FTX? on: January 22, 2023, 06:59:27 PM
Am I the only one who believes Binance knew in advance that FTX was going to collapse?
The short answer is yes, but it is difficult to know exactly when they knew and how much they knew about the financial situation. Were they the financial actions of the company and how bad the financial situation was?

My personal guess is that they knew at some point after the collapse of Luna and after the talks, they may have helped save the institution, and because they knew about the exploitation of the money, they had to wait for the right moment to deliver the final blow that finally happened.

Even if we assume that they have known for a longer period, 2021 was excellent for crypto, liquidity was available, and it was difficult for them to strike this blow at that time.

They took advantage of the situation to their advantage and came out with the most gains.
2206  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: The Collectibles Issue on: January 21, 2023, 05:05:05 PM
I am not active in that board, but I thought that they were buying gold/silver/bronze holdings that have a value equal to the bitcoin you will pay, for example a card with about 3 grams of gold or some value and not preloaded addresses.

The solution is simple, which is to leave an empty place and then leave the choice to the person to download it or not, but the idea in itself is opposite to the way Bitcoin works.

I hope someone can explain to me more if I'm doing something wrong and I'll try to find out exactly what they're selling. Huh Huh
2207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Trying to steal our Bitcoin or simply hatred for Bitcoin? on: January 21, 2023, 04:19:39 PM
Your view of something differs according to your age, income, country, profits, losses, and the damage that you may incur if you talk about a specific thing.
Bitcoin is profitable from the perspective of the individual who suffers from hyperinflation(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperinflation_in_Venezuela,) the systems that control his money, the banks that prevent you from withdrawing your money (the Lebanese crisis is a good example People in Lebanon are holding up banks to withdraw their own money amid the country's financial crisis), but people like JPMorgan have a view related to their investments that makes them support an opinion that they abstain or attack.

These investments and the returns from them change according to different circumstances. The way these conditions change is what changes the opinions of these people, but not because they are rich, because what they say is correct or useful.
2208  Economy / Economics / Re: US hits debt ceiling, prompting Treasury to take extraordinary measures on: January 21, 2023, 03:47:52 PM
I'll quote @franky1, if a ceiling can grow. its a canopy not a ceiling

Quote
if a ceiling can grow. its a canopy not a ceiling

This game will continue until June, and when danger knocks on the doors, the ceiling will be raised.
The core of the problem will remain as to who will make concessions that may determine Biden’s candidacy for the presidency in 2024 and his chances of winning it, so the coming months will determine who will make these concessions and how the White House will make these concessions.

Will the new debt ceiling hold until 2024? We went through the same thing a year ago in December 2021. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
2209  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Unstoppable wallet {User experiences} on: January 21, 2023, 03:29:00 PM
Since the main topic is no longer active (Unstoppable Wallet,) I decided to create this topic to encourage members to download this wallet, conduct discussions about it, and then build on it. It is recommended instead of closed-source and poorly programmed wallets, which are often the first choice for everyone who wants to download a multi-crypto wallet.

2210  Bitcoin / Legal / Mississippi & Missouri lawmakers propose laws protecting bitcoin mining on: January 21, 2023, 02:59:16 PM
Quote
Legislators from two U.S. states, Mississippi and Missouri, have moved to take advantage of the emergence of blockchain technology by proposing new legislation to legally protect their residents’ right to mine bitcoin (BTC) and engage in node-running operations.

Per reports, the bills are being reviewed by the Houses and Senates of the two states, with lawmakers expected to vote on the proposed legislation soon. Sen. Josh Harkins, Rep. Jody Steverson for Mississippi, and Rep. Phil Christofanelli for the Missouri House are the sponsors of the legislation.

The structure of both bills was inspired by the non-profit bitcoin mining advocacy organization, Satoshi Action Fund, and they specifically state that it is completely legal to own and operate mining nodes both in private residences and at an industrial scale.

In addition, the proposed legislation will protect miners in the states from “discriminatory energy rates,” political subdivisions trying to set a different set of rules concerning zoning which do not apply to other data centers in the state, and so on.

Source https://crypto.news/us-lawmakers-propose-laws-protecting-bitcoin-mining/

The United States is moving to protect companies and investors, and it seems that the efforts are not limited to those two states only, but in the state of Pennsylvania, outgoing Senator Pat Tommy introduced a bill that focuses on cryptocurrency legislation, which will give more singable solutions in the future, which means that we are in the development of understanding this technology And trying to fold it into the financial and economic systems.

I don't know if there are similar laws in different states, but let's see how the laws will change the direction of Bitcoin mining investments and cash flows.
2211  Economy / Economics / Re: A Bank of America Glitch Sent Customers Into a Panic Over Missing Funds on: January 21, 2023, 02:39:49 PM
Do these banks still raise the banner of reliability and compatibility? Visa services stopped several years ago due to a hardware failure, which led to the interruption of service for hours. (Visa outage: payment chaos after card network crashes – as it happened)

Quote
Our goal is to ensure all Visa cards work reliably 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We fell well short of this goal today and we apologise to all of our partners, and most especially, to Visa cardholders.

While in Bitcoin, this did not happen except twice (Once in 2010 "due to The Value Overflow Incident AKA CVE-2010-5139 and in 2013 AKA CVE-2013-3220)

  • From 2013 Bitcoin network is 100% up time Which is something that all current banking fails to do.
  • Considering that the early years of Bitcoin were experimental and not quite like what is happening now.

2212  Economy / Reputation / Re: campaign manager post counts behaviors; is this accepted? on: January 21, 2023, 02:24:09 PM
When you post because you like to post and not because it is a job, it will not make any difference to you whether one or several posts are not counted. Consider what you post as a bonus to learn more.

If the manager does not pay for many of your posts without a convincing reason, contact him and ask him about the reason. Sometimes you may not read campaign rules like posting in in local boards, altcoin, Gambling or the campaign manager sees that most of his campaign members post in a particular board (Bitcoin Discussion,Economics) so he rejects them, regardless of their quality.

If this does not work, then he withdraws from the campaign and submits your objection here. IF MANY repeated, he may be given a negative trust that makes it difficult for him to run future campaigns.
2213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Must Be carefull about Ledger live Browser Extension on: January 20, 2023, 06:46:32 PM
If you do not plan to be careful when using the hardware wallet, the false sense of security that these devices provide may lead you to have your funds hacked.
Hardware wallets are designed to provide maximum security, so if you are not careful when you connect them to an internet-connected device, there is no difference between them and hardware wallets.

Now you need to delete that addition and restore the operating system to the nearest point before installing it, and if you have a large amount of money, it is better to reinstall your OS.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/n8luv6/do_not_use_paper_wallets_bitaddressone_is_back/

2215  Economy / Economics / Davos 2023: Saudi Arabia 'open' to discuss trading in non-dollar currencies on: January 20, 2023, 06:06:55 PM
Quote
Saudi Finance Minister Mohammed Al-Jadaan said on Tuesday that the kingdom is open to trading in currencies aside from the US dollar in order to “improve trade.”

“There are no issues with discussing how we settle our trade arrangements, whether it is in the US dollar, whether it is the euro, whether it is the Saudi riyal,” Jadaan told Bloomberg at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Why it matters: Jadaan’s comments are the latest indication some Middle Eastern states are moving away from the US dollar — albeit slightly. Last year, The Wall Street Journal reported that Saudi Arabia was considering pricing oil sales to China in the yuan.

I believe that there will be no change in the issue of petrodollars without the occurrence of a world war, and from there we must ask what Saudi Arabia wants to make such a statement. I see that there is an attempt to pressure Saudi Arabia against the United States.

We also remember:

Relations have been strained after the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and many things that make the relationship between the two countries need a negotiation session.
2216  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bybit exposure with Bankcrupt Crypto Lender Genesis on: January 20, 2023, 05:13:06 PM
A 30M loss is not that huge for an exchange like Bybit although questioning the earn program source of reward is valid because this is the reason why most of these DeFi company bankrupt due to being unable to pay the money by their user since the company use the funds o failed investment. I'm not using Bybit but staying away from it for a while is not bad.

I'm not sure these numbers are accurate but according to this page (https://www.bybit.com/app/user/proof-of-reserve) they have:

Code:
BTC	2022-12-10 04:00 UTC	20710
ETH 2022-12-10 04:00 UTC 156064
USDT 2022-12-10 04:00 UTC 1043019667
USDC 2022-12-10 04:00 UTC 122272126

BTC ( price 21k) = 435M
ETH (price 1587)= 238M
USDT = 1043M
USDC= 122M

Total is less than 1.8B

Most of this money is in the form of USDT, so if something happens to that stablecoin they are fully exposed.
The amounts they own are much less than what FTX was claiming to have.
Therefore, 30 million is not considered a small amount for this platform.
2217  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [List] Crypto exchanges with financial problems on: January 20, 2023, 04:34:19 PM
Updated;

These central platforms did not disappoint me. After what happened to Luna, I thought about creating this topic. So far, more than 3 well-known platforms have gone bankrupt, and the next one may be worse.

I hope you will help me update this topic, as it is considered a "red light" before the disaster occurs, so stay away from any platform present here.

2218  Economy / Speculation / Re: Each time you see a red candle! on: January 20, 2023, 04:21:32 PM
As the saying goes, the loss is not achieved except by clicking on the sell order, so as long as you are not forced to sell, no matter how low the price goes, you will not face problems, but to be on the right side, you must put your economic accounts close to the bottom and not the top.

If I am an investor, I will put my accounts on the previous bottom, which is 3 thousand dollars. Unless the price drops below 3,000 dollars, I have no problem. The same thing applies now, if we assume that the bottom is 15,000 thousand (to avoid any problems, I assume the bottom is at 8,000) so if the price drops For this range, you are in trouble, and any price higher than that is a real profit.

So if you buy now at 21K, this price may be the bottom after 3 to 7 years, so after 3 years, your investment will not be in danger because the price will be far from this bottom and so on.

2219  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BTCFinder.net 🔑 Bitcoin Private Key Finder on: January 20, 2023, 03:49:59 PM
You can't combine these words (online tool for fast generating random Bitcoin adresses) into a sentence and then ask others to use your tool, why does the site need to be online to generate the addresses?

This process does not need to connect to the Internet, and the lack of an open source version makes us not trust that all these private keys have been generated before and saved in a database with a link to a fast bot that dumps the address once you setup.

You can say I have a fast CPU to generate millions of bitcoin adresses/second but WHY I NEED MILLIONS OF ADDRESS PER SECOND.

Hence, it must be emphasized that even a reliable service run by a trusted person in the forum has turned into SCAM (My Cold Keys Just Got Swiped! All Halving Sets!!,) let alone an unknown account

Hello

Is there any working mobile wallet which allows TOR connection to custom Electrum server?
Did you try Samourai Wallet (https://samouraiwallet.com/) or wasabiwallet (https://wasabiwallet.io/)? AFAIK wasabiwallet is not compatible with Electrum Personal Server but its a good solution for TOR, anyway Samourai Wallet should work.
