this forum contains a lot of valuable threads, is there any way to sell them as NFT?
3142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Blockchain as Metaverse on: September 26, 2021, 02:57:50 PM
The word "Metaverse" is made up of "meta" and "verse"; the term is typically used to describe the concept of a future iteration of the internet, made up of persistent, shared, 3D virtual spaces linked into a perceived virtual universe. Source: wikipedia

Developing technical standards:

  • Virtual Worlds
  • Information technology
  • Virtual World Region Agent Protocol (VWRAP)
  • The Open Source Metaverse Project

The metaverse isn’t fully in existence, but some platforms contain metaverse-like elements. Video games currently provide the closest metaverse experience on offer.

Blockchain, metaverse-like applications already exist and provide people with liveable incomes. Axie Infinity is one play-to-earn game that many users play to support their income. SecondLive and Decentraland are other examples of successfully mixing the blockchain world and virtual reality apps.

SecondLive:
3D virtual environment where users control avatars for socializing, learning, and business

Axie Infinity:
a play-to-earn game that’s provided players in developing countries an opportunity to earn consistent income.

Decentraland: an online, digital world that combines social elements with cryptocurrencies, NFTs, and virtual real estate

3143  Other / Archival / Crypto Portfolio Diversification on: September 25, 2021, 02:14:20 PM

      1. What is Crypto Portfolio Diversification?
      2. Why do I need to diversify my Crypto Portfolio?
      3. Types of cryptocurrency
      4. How to manage my portfolio?

What is Crypto Portfolio Diversification?

Don't put all your eggs in one basket , don't concentrate all efforts into one area,don't depend for your success on a single plan. These are all terms we hear about and are considered the first pillar of investment. It is the art of balancing risks through diversification of owning a different percentage of assets. How diversified you are is up for debate, as there are pros and cons to both diversity and a focus on a single asset but nevertheless, it is generally accepted that some diversification is beneficial.

The following article will go over some basic steps that will help you with such diversity.

Why do I need to diversify my Crypto Portfolio?

We all have financial goals that we seek to achieve by investing in a timely manner. Investing in bitcoin is the fastest way to reap profits, but some want the fastest way, some want to make quick money, and some intend to save for your child’s university tuition fees or pay the installments, buying a house, Travel around the world or even a luxury trip.

Diversification can be a good base to provide liquidity and more income and also help reduce the risk of market volatility.

technically, cryptocurrencies are one asset class. However, the large disparity between these assets makes them ideal for all types of investment. For example, you can allocate your wallet with 50% bitcoins, 15% ETH, 10% ETH Tokens, 5% stablecoins, 13% altcoins and 7% NFTs.

Types of cryptocurrency Portfolio

CLASS A: Bitcoin and Ethereum

You can put Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH) here, but if you are familiar with the market, they both work in patterns that may look similar. If you want to diversify, you can switch between them, but this does not guarantee the diversity we mean so you can classify these currencies in category A and you can include all Coins of similar category.

CLASS B: Stablecoins

Under this category comes the stablecoins and you can choose between them. The basic rule is to keep a percentage of the cash as you buy more when the price drops or follow the concept of DCA.

CLASS C: Smart contract tokens

They are protocols such as Ethereum, Binance Chain or Polkadot that allow using blockchain technology to develop decentralized applications and run smart contracts on its platform, so there will be a need to use such coins and they will become valuable.

CLASS D: Tokens
It includes most cryptocurrencies of various names. They represent high-risk investments whose value may reach zero if not properly exploited.

How to manage my portfolio?

Managing a diversified portfolio requires more time and research. A good investment requires research and scrutiny and as the number of coins you will be tracking increases, it means spending more time learning and exploring new investments that may not always be successful.

To make it easier, you can use a third-party wallet tracker, manually record your transactions using Excel, or subscribe to some paid software that provides you with this feature. Here is a list of some of the third party trackers:

  • Blockfolio: heavyweight crypto portfolio tracking
  • Kubera: all your cryptos and other financial accounts and assets (banks, brokerages, real estate)
  • Delta: beautifully designed and good alternative of Blockfolio
  • CoinStats: available on as many platforms as possible

What is TradingView?

TradingView is cloud-based go-to charting and social-networking platform for both beginner and advanced active investment traders for tracking movements in the Forex, traditional stock markets and cryptocurrency.

TradingView have some features:

  • HTML5 Charts
  • Server-Side Alerts
  • Trading
  • Social Community of Active Traders
  • publish trading ideas within its social network

How Does TradingView Work?

When you log-in for a free account, you'll have access to the TradingView community and basic features.
You get one chart per layout and one alert with three indicators to use on one device.

we will work on free account and when you need to add more charts you can buy Pro/Pro+ and Premium account.

What is Pine Script?

Pine Script is a scripting language that can be used to control and edit your TradingView charts.It allows users to create custom indicators and run them on our servers.
each script uses computational resources in the cloud, some limits must be imposed in order to share these resources between users.

we will use BTCUSDT trading pair. you can find it  https://www.tradingview.com/symbols/BTCUSDT/

click on full-featured chart button and down for Pine Editor

The Pine Editor

we will write some codes and then click on click on Add to Chart to see our annotations.

study("First Script")  just setting up our annotation which have a new name (First Script in our case)
plot() gives us a line chart
overlay=true adds the indicator to the existing chart
now you can use some of TA indicators as moving averages, simple moving average (SMA), exponential moving average (EMA)

Code:
plotcandle(sma(open, 7))
EMA = (Close - Previous Day’s EMA) * Multiplier - Previous Day’s EMA
Multiplier = 2 / (Length of EMA + 1)

Example of a Pine script
Code:
//@version=4
study("MACD")
fast = 12, slow = 26
fastMA = ema(close, fast)
slowMA = ema(close, slow)
macd = fastMA - slowMA
signal = sma(macd, 9)
plot(macd, color=color.blue)
plot(signal, color=color.orange)

Source: https://www.tradingview.com/pine-script-docs/en/v4/Quickstart_guide.html

“study” vs “strategy”

Pine strategies: used to run backtests and normal script calculations, they also contain strategy.*() calls to send buy and sell orders. see https://www.tradingview.com/pine-script-docs/en/v4/essential/Strategies.html

Pine studies: cannot be used in backtesting. Because they do not make use of the broker emulator, they use less resources and will run faster.

Code:
study(title="New Script", overlay=true)
emaLength = input(title="EMA Length", type=input.integer, defval=20, minval=0)
emaVal = ema(close, emaLength)

Plotting (RSI) indicator

Click on New > RSI Strategy

Code:
//@version=4
strategy("ToDaMoon", overlay=true)
enter = input(11000)
exit = input(11300)
price = close

if (price <= enter)
    strategy.entry("BuyTheDip", strategy.long, comment="BuyTheDip")
if (price >= exit)
    strategy.close_all(comment="SellTheNews")

you can change entry and exit variables

this the basic codes and you can change it or build your own code

3145  Economy / Economics / Are Bitcoin ETFs really important? on: September 24, 2021, 02:55:23 PM

Table of contents

      1. Bitcoin ETFs
      2. Why do investors want a bitcoin ETF?
      3. Advantages of Bitcoin ETFs
      4. What are the Bitcoin ETFs that may be approved?

Bitcoin ETFs

We all believe that Bitcoin is the future, but its future success is not a guarantee, as there is no one who will guarantee your money if the price drops by 90% or more. Thus, when investors think of investing in such assets, they resort to mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, which usually own a variety of stocks, investments and other assets, which avoid these high risks.
 In the case of Bitcoin, the Bitcoin ETF is not available to US investors and the SEC's slowness in approving one may make investors apprehensive about investing in one of these digital currencies.

Bitcoin ETF will track the price of the underlying asset or index giving the user a price equivalent to that value but instead of trading on a cryptocurrency exchange or buying cryptocurrencies from brokers the ETF will be traded on an exchange like NYSE.

Why do investors want a bitcoin ETF?

Investing in Bitcoin ETFs combines two ideal parts of investing: ease of investing in an ETF, low exposure to risk (holding bitcoin, learning more about crypto, subscribing to unregulated platforms, not being able to buy large amounts or monetize them in a timely manner) and exposure to Bitcoin. Which is already volatile and yet makes quick profits.

Advantages of Bitcoin ETFs

  • Diversification: You can invest in several assets at the same time. Instead of buying alternative currencies, you will be able to buy several shares of an unrelated nature.
  • Legal compliance: Some investors are afraid of joining digital currency because it is not legal or guarantees tax compliance.
  • Efficiency: Some investors are afraid to hold private keys or take those risks.

What are the Bitcoin ETFs that may be approved?

What are the investment funds that may be approved?

Grayscale, which holds $61 billion in digital assets, has announced that it will convert GBTC into an exchange-traded fund “when permitted,” meaning the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is ready to approve the first Bitcoin ETF.

The timing is not random as it comes from some competitive pressures from Fidelity which is of the highest caliber in the industry.

In addition to the decline in the GBTC premium and some indications of investor confusion.
With more people ready to invest in cryptocurrency, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will have to speed up the process in accepting one of these applications.

Disclaimer: The information's contained in this explanation is the result of my understanding of VWAP and may contain some errors. Search and confirm about it.

Table of contents

      1. Introduction
      2. What is volume weighted average price?
      3. How to calculate VWAP?
      4. Why the VWAP is called a cumulative indicator?

Introduction

Technical analysis is an essential part of market analysis and reducing losses/achieving profits, but the main indicator is a Volume where it can be used as a tool to identify potential reversal points and many other strategies.

Volume will not be ideal for confirming a trend so another metric is used that is VWAP which combines the power of volume with price action.

What is volume weighted average price?

volume weighted average price (VWAP) is a trading indicator that gives the average price a security has traded at throughout the day, based on both volume and price. or An average price for a given period weighted by volume.

in Trading chart: Shown as moving average which is represented by single line on trading charts (1 minute, 15 minute, and so on.)

In addition to confirming the prevailing market trend, it shows important areas of liquidity.

How to calculate VWAP?

You do not need to do a calculation,  you will find it included in trading view, but why don't we learn how to calculate it?

Now we move on and how to calculate it in practice and suppose we want to calculate it for 10 minutes:

 - calculate the price for the first 10-minute using above equation.
 - multiply it with the volume.
 - divide the result by the total trading volume up.

Why the VWAP is called a cumulative indicator?

Looking at the above formula, we will find that the price increases by successive additions.

Thus it would be a good standard for price forecasting as a simple strategy for purchasing assets that are below their VWAP line can be relied upon, indicating that they may be undervalued.

If it rises above VWAP it will be a good opportunity to buy and so on.

We note that VWAP is very sensitive to trading volumes and therefore it can be used to define areas of liquidity and it is a good indicator for institutional traders as they can define areas of liquidity and thus determine entry and exit without / with influence on the market.

What Is CryptoPunks?

These little faces with a few tiny pixels may not look special or have value. It's just a low-resolution picture, which varies from male, female, some smoke and others are aliens and others, but you will not believe when you know the value that some of them were sold for.
They are represented by NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. There are 10,000 bits of 8-bit pattern, all with unique features.

Who created CryptoPunks?

"CryptoPunks," were first released in 2017 by creators Matt Hall and John Watkinson as an experiment.
All 10,000 CryptoPunks are unique NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. 3,840 females and 6,039 males. Plus a different mix of some monkeys and zombies
The combination of different traits blended together ensures that each of the ten thousand traits is completely unique.

These CryptoPunks were initially available and distributed free of charge. All you have to do to get one is pay the associated Ethereum transaction fee.

The popularity of these artworks has skyrocketed since NFT revolution.

How do CryptoPunks work?

You can determine the authenticity of each CryptoPunk by hashing its reference image and comparing it to the hash of a particular image in the token nodes.
Since the images are too large to be stored on the blockchain, Larva Labs has created a composite image that contains every 10,000 tags. There is a hash for this in the CryptoPunks token contract.

3153  Economy / Economics / Re: Now UK is facing inflation so choose the best for you.. on: September 16, 2021, 02:11:32 PM
All statistics and analyzes of the economic future are dependent on controlling the pandemic. Without it being controlled, it is not possible to talk about any economic measures or start solutions.

according to NIESR forecasts:

  • price inflation will reach 3.9% early next year, almost double the Bank of England's target
  • if the BoE begins to raise interest rates, it should fall back to 2%

Source: https://www.reuters.com/world/uk/uk-inflation-hit-39-early-2022-niesr-forecasts-2021-08-02

All expectations are subject to change, as unemployment indicators and employment accelerators are good.
It is in a hurry to judge the weakness of the British economy, but it is definitely better to keep Bitcoin than to keep the money
3154  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Hey does anyone know any good free SMS numbers to use for Coinflip ATM machines? on: September 16, 2021, 12:12:41 PM
You can get phone numbers for certain countries to receive SMS messages, and you can only get these numbers for a certain period, but I don't know if there is a service that sells the numbers.

If you intend to rent a number for a short period, you can try http://smspva.com/arenda.html  and you must know:

  • Max guarantee period for the rent - 90 days.
  • We are recommend to use private proxy, clear cache and cookie of browser when you create accounts using numbers.

Source: http://smspva.com/arenda.html

You have about 90 days to use a phone number according to the above data, but privacy has a price as you may lose the right to help if you want to use the number for more than that period.

What potential nft projects are there at the moment?

NFT tokens (ERC721 and ERC1155 based non-fungible tokens) are not projects, but unique pieces and artworks that are sold according to their rarity and therefore are not similar to ICOs and others.

  • You can generate your token using a site like opensea.io.
  • sell Twitter Tweets using CryptoPunk (collectible and visually artistic)

If you are looking to track news, https://nonfungible.com/ provides you with new news and sales.

if you mean by projects some services related to tokens https://nonfungible.com/market/history is your place
3156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why Germany have too many Bitcoin Nodes. on: September 16, 2021, 11:24:36 AM
According to data analytics from Bitnodes, the number of Bitcoin Nodes globally is:

  • more than 10,000 listening bitcoin nodes (nodes that allow incoming connections)
  • 1833 of those nodes are in Germany and 1821 in USA with France a distant third at 549 while China has just 152 bitcoin nodes.
  • Germany’s population is some four times lower than USA’s, while its economy is some five times smaller, yet it has managed to overtake USA

Source: https://www.trustnodes.com/2021/09/11/germany-overtakes-usa-in-bitcoin-nodes

The previous numbers will not be accurate for several factors, and some nodes work through Tor, but what makes the number of nodes in Germany so large, even though a lot of the activity takes place in the United States.

I will leave a few notes and hope they will be useful:

  • Delete ADs board, it's too annoying and you can redesign it to be more comfortable on the eye.
  • Add Night Mode: I don't like the white background.
  • More indicators: I only see candles, no other options or possibility to add more charts and averages.
  • More price sources: User can add more price sources.
  • More trading pairs of Altcoins and some other fiat money

You will need more work to provide the basic things.
3159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If an exchange can support lightning network what are wallets waiting for on: September 15, 2021, 03:39:46 PM
Laziness, slow code development, negligible economic benefits and profit potential if they focus on things that make noise like art.

  • SegWit has been approved for upgrade since 21 July 2017 (BIP141) and many wallets and platforms still haven't updated the code since that year so you find some of them still don't use SegWit addresses. Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SegWit
  • If they don't activate SegWit, they definitely won't activate Lightning Network.

exchange are often used to trade large amounts, which makes the withdrawal fee (10-15 avg USD) small amounts compared to the profits that you can get from trading.

Open source wallets, which are constantly being developed, and have an active team supports Lightning Network.
3160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 1st NFT created on: September 15, 2021, 03:27:50 PM
NFT Art, just like all arts, requires some basic marketing/promotional skills as well as a few specialized things because many people still don't know how to use opensea, have some ethereum, and what makes this art so valuable.

My recommendation is to post to communities that know what's NFT and so might pay for it and some of them:

  • Bitcointalk (here), Reddit, and Quora: communities are ideal places for cryptocurrency lovers but look for all the other communities that don't have a problem with NFT.
  • Twitter, Instagram, Discord, Medium: they are perfect but you need to get some interested followers.
  • websites-newsletterSome sites allow you to advertise your Art token. try it out.

you need to be lucky to sell these tokens at a high value as I think a few tokens got a high value (less than 1% of the total)
