3001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc ban and fud its also financial market manipulation on: December 29, 2021, 04:19:36 PM
Manipulation does not need a justification whales try to manipulate the price, regardless of the news.
Unfortunately, many newspapers help them, as once the price begins to decline, negative news begins to follow the price change.

What happens is that:

  • price changes
  • FUD start
  • newspapers search for a logical reason (to get views and ads)
  • whales begin to influence the price

The impact of whales is the last after the change in price.

The price of Bitcoin is increasing, and the more we reach several trillions of market capacity, the more difficult it is to manipulate.
3002  Economy / Economics / Network Effect on: December 29, 2021, 03:58:05 PM
Table of contents

      1. What is Network Effect?
      2. Does the network effect really have an economic value?
      3. Types of network effects
      4. Network effect examples
      5. Network effect and Bitcoin

Have you ever wondered what would happen if people stopped using Bitcoin? Certainly, its value will decrease and may reach zero, since it is no longer used by many people. Sure, other factors come into play, but since there are so few users, it has little value as a service.

What is Network Effect?

Network effect is an economic effect whereby new users add value to the network by entering the network. This in turn motivates new users to join the network, add more value to it, etc.

Network effects are important to consider when it comes to cryptocurrencies. Money and blockchains ultimately organize people, so the more people use the network, the more benefit it can provide as a service and therefore when you find networks that not many people use it is better to avoid investing in them.

Does the network effect really have an economic value?

The phone is the quintessential example of the network effect. In the early days, very few people had phones in their homes. Furthermore, their homes must be physically connected to each other to use the network.

As technology matured, more and more people could purchase a telephone, which in turn increased the value of the entire telephone network. As the number of users increases, so does the value and usefulness of the entire network. As more people join, more value is added to the entire network. Increased use has led to exponential growth.

Types of network effects

In general we can consider that there are two main types of network effects - direct and indirect network effects.

  • Direct Network Effects: This is what we just discussed above in the phone example.
  • Indirect network effects: These refer to the additional, complementary benefits that result from having a network effect in the first place. For example, the open source Electrum wallet.

The increased use of software will prompt more skilled developers to proofread the code since there is a lot of value at stake (including their own). This added value comes from having so much value in the network in the first place. This effect begins to multiply, and we reach dominant leaders who are building significant network effects over their competitors.

Network effect examples

Network effects can have an impact on a number of different product categories. One such obvious medium is social media, where users tend to join services used by their pre-existing social networks.
The same applies to Ebay and Amazon with online sales, Google with Internet search, AirBNB with online leasing, Microsoft in enterprise operating systems, and Apple with iPhone.

Network effect and Bitcoin

Bitcoin has some highly desirable characteristics, as well as a strong network effect.
Miners support network security and have a large liquidity to maintain their operations. But let's say another network is launched that aims to serve a similar use case for Bitcoin. Miners may get higher rewards but will not have the same liquidity to exit their positions. They can take risks and hope that the liquidity will improve in the future.

At the current stage, the influence of the network has a major role in the growth of some cryptocurrencies and an insane increase in their price in a short period.

I don't know why every comment above is attacking you but it's fun. Tongue Tongue

As you have been told, the probability that giveaway will be real is low, and therefore the chances of scam are great
The higher the return on giveaway, the higher scam rate.

3004  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TOP cross-chain Bridge kills expensive gas fee! on: December 29, 2021, 02:51:12 PM
It is not cross-chain because here is a central point to pass through, so what you have done is the following:

  • You deposited to a central platform.
  • The data has been updated in that central platform.
  • The withdrawal was made from the central platform to toher blockchain.

There is no cross-chain Bridge here as you can do it in one step if you use Automade CEXs.

The difference in using the central platform will not change anything.

Ideal cross-chain bridge is a bridge that connects several blockchains using smart contracts, something that has not been applied perfectly.
The best you will get is the decentralized swap exchange between tokens  within the single blockchain.
3005  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Arcona.Space | X-Reality Metaverse | Signature Campaign ~ Sr. Members+ on: December 29, 2021, 02:37:52 PM
I have however asked the Arcona team to come into this thread and clarify a few things about it all.
I would like to see some information about a possible sales price (I don't think there is any liquid market rn, at least I couldn't find any for 0.3 BNB or $100~ :/). In addition, it would be interesting to know how to exchange the Arcona Feod for land on the platform.
I totally agree, if no one can sell any of NFTs or exchange the Arcona Feod for land (sell it at any value) during this week or next one, there is no point in continuing to promote the campaign, how do we promote metaverse and we all fail to sell it at any price.

The team may need to adjust the price or clarify details, you cannot say that NFTs are worth xxx without there being liquidity in any platform.
3006  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accept Bitcoin (&Altcoin) in online shop. (payment provider) on: December 28, 2021, 06:41:42 PM
Hello guys you have been very helpfull over the time, so here i am again:

So I am looking for a payment provider that accepts BTC and Altcoins
(LTC, XRP, ETH ... maybe XMR)

You need to answer a number of questions:

  • What is your technical expertise? Do you want Self-Hosted Bitcoin Payment Processors or Hosted Bitcoin Payment Processors?
  • The price allocated for development and security?
  • Number of clients per day and number of traffic per day and month?
  • Required fees and do many customers use the site?

After all we can calculate the cost economics and choose the right option for you.

CryptoWoo is the worse option you need to pay $34 - $99 per year
https://bitcartcc.com/: good option you can open live DEMO https://admin.bitcartcc.com/configurator
BTCPayServer: the best one
3007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Name Service (ENS) on: December 28, 2021, 06:18:20 PM
I expect other networks to lunch their domain names as well if the idea get successful with Ethereum network.

I have checked it with few domain names and whet you said is alright. So i changed the reservation period for more than 6 years and i got two notes:
1- The price doesn't reduce if you want to reserve the domain for one year or 10 years. If the first year costs 5$ so the 10 year will cost 50$.
2- The gaz fee remains higher than the domain price for 6+ years (this is funny Lol).
However, I see an increase in usage as the site sees a lot of people registering.
I thought it was the cause of buying a site at a cheap price and selling it in the future at a higher price, but many people buy those sites.
You can find distinct and easy domains, the database is still medium.

My question is what would happen if Ethereum succeeded in upgrading and the fees became very low, I expect more and more applications on the Ethereum network.

3008  Other / Archival / Elliott Wave on: December 28, 2021, 05:42:47 PM

Disclaimer: The information's contained in this explanation is the result of my understanding of Elliott Wave Theory and may contain some errors. Search and confirm about it.

Table of contents

      1. What is Elliott Wave?
      2. Cycles and waves
      3. The theory
      4. Basic rules on impulse
      5. How to trade?

What is Elliott Wave?

It was developed by Ralph Nelson Elliott to describe price movements in financial markets. Its principle is based on the idea that financial markets tend to follow specific patterns, whatever the time frame in which they observe and identify patterns of repeated fractal waves.

Elliott waves can be used to analyze financial market cycles and can be used in investor psychology, highs and lows in prices, and other collective factors.

Cycles and waves

The psychological behavior of trading is reflected in the form of waves rather than simple straight lines which is one of the biggest features of Elliott theory. It is a reflection of the Elliott studies of Charles Dow's work, in which the Dow theory states that stock prices usually move in waves.

It can be used as a tool for technical analysis and trying to determine market cycles and trends, but it is not a trading technique but rather a theory that may help in predicting market behavior.

Elliott saw that with each direction there are usually impulsive waves (five waves), followed by a corrective wave in the opposite direction (three waves).

This pattern repeats itself indefinitely on ever smaller scales, regardless of time scale.

The theory

Each impulsive movement will be followed by a corrective move. Where the first five waves can be represented by impulsive movements (called numbers 1-5) that move in the direction of the main trend. The next three waves provide corrective waves called A, B, and C.

Once the 5-3 move is complete, we have completed a single cycle.

The awesome oscillator can also be used to identify waves, as it compares the rate of change in prices. It can also be used to form the 5 wave using the 7-period moving average (DMA) and the 5-period shift to the right.

Basic rules on impulse

  • Wave 2 never retraces more than 100% of wave 1;
  • Wave 4 retraces more than 100% of wave 3;
  • Wave 3 always goes beyond the end of wave 1;
  • Wave 3 cannot be the shortest of the three impulse waves.
  • Wave 4 is not in wave 1 area.

Elliott illustrated a series of categories for waves, which show when you will see the same patterns in both the long-term and short-term charts:

  • Supercycle: (about 40 to 70 years)
  • Cycle: one year to several years
  • Intermediate:weeks to months
  • Minor: weeks
  • Minute: days
  • Minuette: hours
  • Sub-minuette: minutes

How to trade?

It can be used successfully if the following two conditions are met. It can also be used effectively with Fibonacci retracements.

  • One-way pulse start and irregular correction.
  • Impulse and correction as zigzag.

Look for the pulse as a quintuple movement in any direction, check if the end of the pulse is an additional three-wave structure (50%, 62% and 75%.)
Place your stop loss above the critical retracement level 75 and you can take profits by setting a third wave range based on the first wave.

Another scenario:
Look at rule three, and look for the fourth wave to be relatively shallow, with 23.6% -50% levels of particular interest. We can also look for the correct A, B, C move to be a 50% -61.8% retracement of the full impulse 1-5.

Hope there's still another one craving for Pizza. Cheesy Freshly ship from the Philippines LOL
The story of Pizza Day is how a small thing can have all this value over time. 10 years ago, you could get 10 thousand bitcoins easily and without having to work for a long time, but today you may need to work for a lifetime to get 1% of this amount.
It may be easy now to buy 1 bitcoin, but after several years it may take you the rest of your life to accumulate 1 bitcoin.

https://www.newsbtc.com/analysis/btc/sats-stats-bitcoin-grows-37x-in-four-years-from-today/

Honestly, it's a lot easier to just buy a giftcard and order for yourself but i guess for people who would do this, it's more of a "for fun" rather than "a need"

I think he's joking. The options were limited several years ago, but now the available options are very numerous, and you can choose between them to choose the cheapest.
3010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Name Service (ENS) on: December 26, 2021, 12:35:11 PM
But I think that I understand it a bit as it has ownership just as the NFTs.
Yes, Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a domain name services that uses ERC-721 (NFTs) to make a unique address.
you can use it with this GUI https://app.ens.domains/ which makes creating domains are easy and any one can buy it with cheap amont.
The problem, in my opinion, is fees, which if it is resolved, all applications based on the Ethereum blockchain will develop and many altcoins/tokens will disappear.

The price of gas is currently greater than the price of 1-Year to 3-Years payment and therefore the offer may not be attractive, but you can use some other cheap chains such as BSC.
3011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Ethereum Name Service (ENS) on: December 24, 2021, 12:36:14 PM
Ethereum Name Service (ENS) is a naming service for wallet addresses, hashes, and other machine-readable identifiers. It turns difficult to read strings of data into easily readable addresses. It works similarly to the Domain Name System (DNS) used for websites.

Source: https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/what-is-ethereum-name-service-ens

How does Ethereum Name Service work?

An ENS domain name uses ERC-721 Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) to represent a unique address. You can trade a domain by transferring or selling the NFT to someone else. Wallet addresses and other information are attached to each token, which is manageable by the owner. A top-level domain like .eth is owned by a smart contract called a registrar that controls the creation of subdomains.

How to get your own ENS domain?

checking its availability on https://app.ens.domains/ and registering it

Source: https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/what-is-ethereum-name-service-ens

I'm starting to notice more Ethereum-related services, so does this mean that we will witness a new era where more and more intentional services are on the Ethereum mainnet network?
3012  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Income Real Estate Tokenization on: December 24, 2021, 12:15:00 PM
I think that converting it into shares and others would be appropriate for this, but there is nothing in the blockchain that can be presented to you.
The concept of "tokenization" was tested in Binance when it placed real stock with tokens whose price is derived from the price of some shares, but it was not a successful experiment and had to cancel them quickly.

Maybe you should check https://realt.co/ and see how a similar matter has already been resolved.
you will surely be able to draw some guidelines.
Why do I get an error message when I try to access that site? 403 Forbidden Huh
3013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guide me to choose right token on: December 24, 2021, 11:28:27 AM
I will do a quick analysis of all the pairs:

  • IDIA: has All Time High 21 days ago and All Time Low 4 months ago which is good for long-term so you can use it
  • HTD: Has All Time High 19 days ago and All Time Low 8 days ago which mean it has small good martketcap so its dropped from 6$ to less than 1$. Avoid it.
  • Porto and lazio from Binance launchpad: they are fan tokens with big marketcap and i dont think they will back to ATH soon.

From your list IDIA is the best but investing in ETH/BTC will be better than you can dump your profits in IDIA
3014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin legal tender in UAE (Dubai) ? on: December 23, 2021, 03:30:54 PM
The fact that the currency is a legal tender means that it is obligatory to deal with it in all regions of the country, and therefore no party can say that it does not accept payment in Bitcoin, and that dealing with it is final and subject to the law, which is something that only exists in El Salvador, but this does not mean that it is not a legal currency, especially since some Countries issue taxes on them.

Quote
Legal tender is a form of money that courts of law are required to recognize as satisfactory payment for any monetary debt.[1] Each jurisdiction determines what is legal tender, but essentially it is anything which when offered ("tendered") in payment of a debt extinguishes the debt. There is no obligation on the creditor to accept the tendered payment, but the act of tendering the payment in legal tender discharges the debt.

Source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_tender

If bitcoin is illegal and there are penalties for everyone who owns it and the state implements those penalties, then we can say that it is not legal.

Under law of UAE article  D.7.3 it is stated that all electro payments issued by the central bank of UAE in January 2017 all virtual currencies are prohibited. So cryptocurrency is banned in UAE. And it is a illegal

Until this moment, there has been no case in court because of Bitcoin, although there are many activities and platforms that are allowed in free zones.
3015  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need bitcoin... on: December 23, 2021, 03:01:31 PM
Inflation has not been a big problem during the past years. For example, from year to year, you will not find that many people have bought bitcoin because they see that the inflation of the dollar, but rather:

  • Decentralization: where you can have complete control over your money.
  • A store of wealth: real estate increases according to inflation and other factors, but Bitcoin will increase its price even if there is no inflation.
  • Limited Supply: Limited supply and increased demand is an important factor in increasing the value of the commodity.
  • New Technology: The revolutionary technology that represents digitization.

And other reasons why people invest.

Bitcoin Volatility During December:

There is no accurate historical data for altcoins but most of them did not exist several years ago or track the behavior of Bitcoin and therefore will have similar charts.

What I want to convey is that we should look at the four-year cycle and not the changes in a particular month, and therefore the long-term view of the price of Bitcoin is optimistic and this view is not good for many altcoins.
3017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning to all investors on: December 23, 2021, 02:30:32 PM
The size of the bear market will depend on the amount of bitcoin’s rise. If we reach the levels of 130 thousand dollars, then a correction of 82% may bring us back to the levels of 29k, which is half of the current levels.

Note that in the worst case, and if the past scenarios are repeated, the barrier of 20k to 30k is the bottom, and therefore any price above it, no matter what, will be good for the short term.

  • The risk levels are above 80 thousand dollars and we are far from it.
  • When the price fell from 62 the resistance barrier was at 29
  • when it fell from 68 the resistance barrier was at 41
  • So the current levels are excellent and we may witness a new low.
3018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to buy and sell NFT? on: December 23, 2021, 01:49:28 PM
All of the above sites are interfaces GUI that enable the user to manage smart contracts (ERC-721   https://ethereum.org/en/nft/ ) on ethereum blockchain network without having the slightest technical background, but the problem of high fees (more than $100 on average) and how to promote tokens is still an important factor in the continuity of decentralization such artworks.

There may be compromises like setting it up on central networks like BSC but still things here are centralized and they can remove your Non-fungible tokens.

Dividing the platforms into centralized and decentralized with some details would be better.

Introduction

Bitcoin is characterized by a number of unique features with a net value of about $ 166.4 billion, a strong network based on the blockchain and enhanced by its decentralized nature, and peer-to-peer transactions that enable you to send money to everyone in the world.

But it comes with some of the problems that Sidechains solve, most notably, slow transactions per second, and scalability problems, as well as high transaction costs when there is network congestion.

What are Bitcoin Sidechains?

Think about it as you have two ways, you go from first to second according to your needs, the first is lengths and takes time, but it is safe and the second is fast and suitable for those who want to reach faster.

In this case, the main Bitcoin blockchain, and another blockchain (sidechain)
You can then move bitcoin from the main blockchain to the sidechain and back if necessary.

But it does offer features like increased flexibility and some privacy as it provides more transactions per second faster than the basic blockchain a reliable platform for Bitcoin users to trade.

note that sidechains are independent of the main blockchain.

How Do Sidechains Work?

Because these networks are independent, any problem that occurs to sidechain does not affect the main blockchain, and therefore the responsibility rests with the trust in the sidechains developers who are responsible for their security as they decide when the user's currencies are locked and launched which leads to the possibility of centralization.

You will have an address to which you will send these transactions and after obtaining the required confirmations you will get the same number of coins, you can use the coins freely in sidechain. The opposite happens if you want to transfer money from sidechain to the main blockchain.

Bitcoin Sidechains

  • Rootstock
  • Liquid
  • Hivemind

Rootstock

Bitcoin sidechain that enables and runs smart contracts, At its very core, Rootstock is a combination of:

  • A Turing-complete resource-accounted deterministic virtual machine (for smart contracts)
  • A two-way pegged bitcoin sidechain (for BTC denominated trade)
  • A dynamic hybrid merge-mining/federated consensus protocol (for consensus security), and a low-latency network (for fast payments).

Information source http://blockgeeks.com/guides/rootstock-blockchain/

Liquid

speeds up Bitcoin transactions and enables the digital asset proceeds, with some Features:

  • Rapid Transfers ( fully settled within two minutes)
  • Issue New Assets (Anyone can issue new assets on Liquid, including stablecoins and security tokens)
  • Confidential Transactions (Asset types and amounts are hidden by default on the Liquid sidechain)
  • Secure Trading (Each asset on Liquid can be swapped for any other asset using the open source Liquid Swaps Tool)

How Does Liquid Work?

All Liquid Bitcoin (L-BTC) are verifiably 1-to-1 backed by bitcoin. Anyone can move bitcoin to the sidechain through a peg-in using a Liquid full node.
Assets issued on Liquid are native to the sidechain
All that is required to participate in the Liquid Network is a Liquid wallet or full node

Information source https://blockstream.com/liquid/

Bitcoin Hivemind

Open-source, P2P Oracle protocol and conditional prediction market (PM) proposed by Paul Sztorc (Truthcoin) and designed as a Bitcoin sidechain.
The protocol targets a primary use within the voting system by reducing the problems of multi-factor decision making among a group of people coming to a consensus on a decision
It also provides rich information at low fees and prevents information from being tampered with by other parties

If Bitcoin follows the same patterns, we still haven't seen the best price peaks, so next year could be surprising.

If we go back in memory, the percentage of increase is not large compared to previous years.
