2222  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: تقلبات الأسعار on: January 19, 2023, 06:34:36 PM

2223  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Alias for main address on: January 19, 2023, 06:14:03 PM
Basically this would be used mostly for micropayments, and users inside the app can send crypto to each other without fees, only during withdrawals outside of the platform, some fees would be applied.

So, you need to manage central databases. inside updating of those database (send money to others inside website) is not related to Bitcoin, and the role of Bitcoin is limited to confirming the transaction, and update main balance.
You do not need altcoin, but all you need is to use the lightning network, as it will be close to zero.

You can pool all of these transactions to a single address in cold storage or from a Lightning Network channel.
To withdraw, if your site is small, it is better to do it manually, including reducing risks.

The best open source solution is https://docs.btcpayserver.org
2224  Other / Meta / Re: Delete my account on: January 19, 2023, 05:53:46 PM
He may be trying to hide something related to those addresses that  he posted, but unfortunately, even if the account is deleted, many sites recording/scarping every data that was published (after about 3 seconds or less), so there is no point in deleting the account.

The best solution is to delete your social media accounts and then use mixing services.
2225  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Exodus wallet, Latest PC version 23.1.12. Bug or issue with my device? on: January 19, 2023, 01:31:14 PM
@OP
It may be strange, but sometimes the problem maybe related to the connection, have you checked that the wallet is connected and synchronized?

I don't look at the rest that much but this case seems like a classic victim of phishing. Whether he uses Exodus or not doesn't really matter if he inputs his seed (or passkey, as he mentioned it) to some random website, after some random guy that said he is an Exodus employee told him to do so.
Exodus have a well known vulnerability that Seed exposed in memory after unlocking the wallet There was a video of how it is easy to read your seed if someone gains access to your OS and therefore there is no encryption level that complicates access to your coins.
I don't know if this vulnerability has been fixed, but the privacy issues are enough to make you stay away from this wallet.
2226  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Alias for main address on: January 19, 2023, 01:13:50 PM
So basically this can be achieved for almost any coin in this way?

Before getting to more custom options, think about additional information such as
  • What is the expected number of new users?
  • How much money is planned to be deposited?
  • How much deposits are users asking for?
  • Does each new user need one address or a number of addresses?
  • The nature of the activity you do? In other words, does your site provide additional services, and therefore you need to build everything in a coherent manner, or is it a payment system?
  • Is the user allowed to withdraw his money or not?
  • your technical expertise?

There are several open source solutions that we can refer to, but if your site is large, it is better to hire a developer in order to avoid any holes in the hot wallet.

This is for Bitcoin, and it is supposed to be the same things for most of Altcoins, with some differences such as in Ripple (XRP,) you have one address, and each user gets a unique tag for each transaction or account (it would be easier if you did not have any technical knowledge).
2227  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Skills to Mills - Acquire the will, conquer the hill, enjoy the thrill on: January 19, 2023, 12:58:20 PM
Who are the writers who write your articles (I don't see any links to them or references to their names) or at least what are the sources you rely on?
I have read some articles and their quality does not seem professional, for example in this article

You talked about the principle of proof of work with a lot of bias and did not explain all aspects related to it. the principle of proof of stake contains many details that you did not mention. Recommending this platform does not seem like a wise idea. Nexo is a platform that is on the verge of bankruptcy, however, the first recommendation.

We recommend you to stake them on these platforms:

Do they have any exposure on FTX? There was an infographic showing all the companies exposed on that platform, but I don't find it.
It took them longer than usual, so the fall will be nice or it may not happen because the negotiations mean that the parties are on an acceptable way to talk and the situation is not catastrophic as it happened with FTX.

2230  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BOUNTY NBA CLUB offers daily profits, is this a ponzi scheme in the form of NFT? on: January 18, 2023, 08:05:55 PM
they sent me a free NFT, and after I made a mint for it, the site deducted 20 cents from the BNB fees, and after I made HARVEST for this NFT for a period of several days and collected 0.50, I was able to withdraw them to my trust wallet from the USDT coin successfully, I did not lose anything because I did not invest my money in buying their NFTS. Frankly, their website seems suspicious and there is not enough information about the project team and the source of these weekly and monthly profits. Therefore, it could be a scam Ponzi project that pays these small amounts at the beginning to lure people.

As long as they paid, we cannot say that they are scammers, them APY activity is suspicious, and therefore it is an unsafe investment or closer to Ponzi project, but what puzzles me is, does this NFTs have value outside their site?
You mentioned the phrase several days, so claiming to be able to earn 1% daily on every $20 NFT is a marketing ploy?
We cannot blame the participants in the campaign and we cannot prove that it was a scam.
2232  Local / العربية (Arabic) / Re: دعم بينانس للبحرين on: January 18, 2023, 04:31:18 PM

2233  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 18, 2023, 03:46:16 PM
I don't know if that will work but you should not be able to send messages to someone who has ignored you. Therefore, if someone puts you in their ignore list, they will not be able to send you a message.

Not sure if it will work but put me on your ignore list and I will try to send you a message.

The reason for this assumption is that you cannot send merits to a board on your ignore list.

Edit: Not working

2235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Hackers hide malware in fake NFT game on: January 12, 2023, 05:02:09 AM
Another discovery of fraudulent activities was made by Korean specialists from AhnLab. The game is distributed through phishing sites or through a mailing list; it is a simple Pokémon NFT card game. After installing the game, RAT, a computer remote control virus, is installed on the victim's computer, which ultimately allows hackers to fully monitor all the victim's actions, including stealing passwords and seed phrases.

What's new here? I thought once adding NFT to the wallet, hackers would be able to remotely monitor the device and thus know the seed and password when entered.
Installing a random games for fun on a device that has a hot wallet is stupid, you should be more careful or buy a separate phone for such things..

Thats a strong malicious virus, I think monitoring ones activity is common but the ability to steal passwords and phrase, is that can be done for example there are saves files on his folders? Or only if he can sees the activity where the phrases are been look up into?
If you give them access to your files, then they may be able to access the wallet file, which is still encrypted with your password, then monitoring your device is enough for them to obtain that password, but it is strange that the wallets allow screen recording while writing passwords in the wallets.

For seeds, the situation is easier.
2237  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Acquiring bitcoin with cash - what, why, how on: January 12, 2023, 04:32:34 AM
5. Buy gift cards with cash and sell them For BTC: It is the most effective way to buy bitcoins anonymously, especially those physical cards that can be bought in stores that do not have surveillance cameras.

Why?
It does not need to reveal your identity and the physical card ensures that no information will be collected about you.
If you are reliable, you will not sell those cards at a discount.
Good for those who want to buy small amounts.

2238  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 90% of India's largest crypto exchange funds are in Binance wallet on: January 12, 2023, 04:15:17 AM
It's not the serious part of the story but that those assets estimated at about $285 million of total user assets are in the form of stablecoins (USDT,) and those coins can be frozen, reversed or removed with a single click.

Indian crypto exchange WazirX released its proof-of-reserves report, and with that disclosed that 90% of its user assets are held in Binance wallets.
CoinGabbar, a third-party platform that tracks crypto assets, released WazirX's proof of reserves. At the time of writing, WazirX had $285 million of total user assets, displayed in the form of stablecoin USDT, which is pegged to the U.S. dollar. Of the total user assets, around 92%, or $259.07 million, was held in Binance wallets, with $26.45 million being held in other exchanges.

In this case, the risks are double, if Binance falls, WazirX will enter into a domino effect, and if USDT Falls, they will have only $26.45 million which will make them goes to bankrupt.
So where did the depositors' money go?

I hope WazirX's reserve in Binance is not 99% in BNB and the other 1% in BUSD. LOL!
Its USDT Cheesy
2239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15M BTC goes into self custody on: January 12, 2023, 03:53:13 AM
That doesn't seem very credible to me, because if 15 million BTC is in self-custody, all those analyzes that said that about 4 million BTC were lost, then it turns out that CEX doesn't really have anything or just dust?
On the contrary, the word "self-custody" refers to the possibility of accessing the private key of one individual, whether he has access to that private key or not, and therefore in this term he enters:

  • Coins that have been withdrawn from CEXs.
  • Coins that have been mined and not sold.
  • Coins in cold storage (even CEX cold storage)
  • Lost coins.

So the number is logical or is it a measure of whether the money is in the hot storage or not.

2240  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Are there any smartphones out there that are hard wallets too? on: January 11, 2023, 03:10:15 PM
Do you mean that inside your phone there is a "cold storage build-in wallet" or just a wallet that connects to hardware wallets?
I think Galaxy S10 can do that and I read somewhere that they have a phone that works as a full node, syncs, and you can run it as cold storage but I don't remember the exact name.
