301  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin hitting $2,000? or $10,000? on: January 14, 2014, 03:16:10 AM
Let's say $2000 by the end of the year although I tend to be pessimistic at the best of times  Smiley
302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it too late to mine BTC? (even with free electric) on: January 14, 2014, 03:12:58 AM
It's never too late although you would likely only mine tiny amounts.

I would mine an alt and convert  Smiley
303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BitCoin and Alts Personal Target on: January 13, 2014, 09:07:39 AM
Definitely moving in the right direction and we're only in the first few weeks of the year  Smiley
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal Boss David Marcus: Rigs ok, BTC not and "We're believers in BTC though" on: January 13, 2014, 08:59:16 AM
At least they're recognising BTC as something they need to keep an eye on.

Hopefully they will create a specific BTC to PayPal and visa versa service as this could go a long way  Smiley
305  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am crypto And so can you! on: January 13, 2014, 08:19:36 AM
I think you should consider investing your time and effort in some proper coins.

If you don't want bitcoin there is always LTC, PPC and ANC - coins that actually offer something different  Smiley
306  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: which new digital currencies except Bitcoin do u like? on: January 13, 2014, 08:13:25 AM
It depends.

I'd say LTC, PPC and ANC!

307  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Litecoin on: January 13, 2014, 07:56:11 AM
Litecoin is a crypto currency that differs from Bitcoin, it is easy to mine as it is not ASIC friendly and you can mine it with a GPU although difficulty is increasing all the time.

Some people say that Litecoin is the silver to Bitcoin's gold.

Also note it is Bitcoin, no 'e' in there  Smiley
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Project Bitcoin UPDATE: Must Buy Special Thing/Experience for .15 btc ASAP! on: January 13, 2014, 07:35:07 AM
Best of luck with your endeavour, unfortunately I have nothing available to sell.

Will be fascinating to watch your progress with this  Smiley
309  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where is Satoshi living? on: January 13, 2014, 07:31:58 AM
No one even knows who 'he' is let alone where he is living  Smiley
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin solo-mining? on: January 13, 2014, 05:59:50 AM
The people who made the serious cash with Bitcoin and Litecoin I reckon are the ones who built up their stash when the difficulty was extremely low and then waited for a year or so for a price rise to happen.

Good point!

Yeah but in this case you're going to have to make sure you're holiday the right coin  Smiley
311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is btc dead?? on: January 13, 2014, 05:56:49 AM
Price depends on supply and demand.

I suggest you do quite a bit more research before coming up with such drivel  Wink
312  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mt Gox average verification time on: January 13, 2014, 05:54:20 AM
so were is the best trade/exchange to play with bitcoins?

BTC-e, BitStamp

I'd be careful with BTC-e as well, lots of people have claimed that deposits they sent have not turned up.

Go with Bitstamp.

313  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many people have you persuaded to start using BTC? on: January 13, 2014, 05:40:42 AM
That's interesting. I have never gotten anyone to 'use' BTC, ie to make a purchase, but have told friends who have invested a little in to the currency.
314  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mt Gox average verification time on: January 13, 2014, 05:38:29 AM
I'd stay well clear of Mt Gox if you ever plan to take fiat out - it takes months and still no guarantee.

There are better options out there  Smiley
315  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we really need so many kinds of coins? on: January 13, 2014, 04:45:59 AM
Short answer 'no' most new coins are a disgrace to Bitcoin.  Sad
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you ever consider insuring your bitcoin holdings? on: January 13, 2014, 03:36:09 AM
It's a good idea for some although I would never go down this route - kind of defeats the object somewhat.
317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DigiByte [DGB] coin on: January 13, 2014, 03:31:44 AM
Just another useless, unneeded coin  Wink
318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: all these altcoins on: January 13, 2014, 03:29:57 AM
It is a sad state of affairs, too many stupid coins coming in to existence, most will die a deserved death. Greedy devs create coins only for profit, a few are good but most are just a joke!
319  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn bitcoins? on: January 13, 2014, 03:27:11 AM
It would be the same easy earning $, what can you do that's in demand? Find someone looking for what you can do and charge in BTC. Otherwise do you have anything lying around that you could sell?
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name something you've actually BOUGHT with bitcoin on: January 13, 2014, 03:02:40 AM
Never bought anything with BTC, plan to change this soon  Smiley
