Loads of posts in response to this topic but only I've mentioned Anoncoin?

Has anyone else here actually taken the time to read up on Anoncoin and why it is superior to most of coins?

Come on Anoncoin should easily be in your top 5!
762  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am a newcomer to report thank you on: December 25, 2013, 03:42:06 AM
Welcome to the forum!

Hope you enjoy your time here!

Have a read around and start posting away!

A little patience and you will be able to have full access to the forum.

4 hours after your first post and you should be OK!
764  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting out of Cryptsy on: December 24, 2013, 02:44:30 PM
You should be able to transfer the coins to any address.

While I agree Cryptsy is pretty slow I tend to think that the site offers a good service and would use them over other sites.

I have never lost anything and BTC in and out seems to be OK.

Oh dear that doesn't sound good.

Do you still have the original wallet.dat file as this is where the coins are stored?
766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A humble intro and apology to the community (re: our Nyancoin) on: December 24, 2013, 02:38:52 PM
Yet another new coin?

Are there not more than enough already?

Just saying, try promote the ones already in existence!

Good look anyway.
767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SELL Bitcoin , LiteCoin , DogeCoin Via PAYPAL on: December 24, 2013, 02:36:28 PM
Sure - if someone buys something and pays with PayPal they can complain to PayPal that what they purchased was not received and PayPal will side with them even if you send the Crypto as you can't prove you sent it.

Have a read though this forum - lots of topics on this issue.
768  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SELL Bitcoin , LiteCoin , DogeCoin Via PAYPAL on: December 24, 2013, 02:27:24 PM
Be very careful selling crypto for PayPal - you could be open to scammers who will pay you and do a chargeback as soon as you send the coins.

PayPal is not advised!

 Sad

Merry Xmas!

Anoncoin, Bitcoin, Unobtanium, Litecoin, Quark - top 5 in that order!

I'd recommend being extra careful when it comes to things like this. Make sure you have a thorough read through this forum to check out other peoples experiences to make sure that any such exchange is legit.
771  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Money withdrawal on: December 24, 2013, 07:11:33 AM
I would never use Gox to try get fiat out, you can trade there but I would only send BTC out otherwise it's going to be a nightmare!
772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: December 24, 2013, 05:26:17 AM
I fancy some physical Anoncoins, anyone else like the idea of this? May produce a few myself....
773  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Do it Yourself - Physical Bitcoin on: December 24, 2013, 05:02:16 AM
Coins look awesome!

How do you actually go about making the coins, do you have a coin press or is there a more cost effective way of doing this?

 Huh
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Merry Christmas to all Bitcoin Users: Check out my Bitcoin Decorations on: December 24, 2013, 04:58:48 AM

776  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Releasing a new sms alerts for bitcoin, oh, it's free on: December 24, 2013, 04:48:35 AM
Looks like a great service, any chance that it could be made in to a worldwide service?

778  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any suggestions for Cryptography related reading? on: December 24, 2013, 03:14:34 AM
That's a good question, unfortunately I am not aware of books related to this subject and would be very keen to find out as well.

Any links to books for sale on Amazon etc would be most helpful.

779  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best/fastest way to buy BTC with $USD on: December 24, 2013, 02:45:17 AM
This is unfortunately one of the major issues with BTC - the inability to quickly get in and out.

As soon as this becomes a possibility then there really are no limits.

For all BTC transaction I use localbitcoins.com, as long as there's someone in you vicinity wanting to sell you should be OK!
780  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Flying to China to Arbitrage 100-500k on: December 24, 2013, 02:27:47 AM
So to arbitrage, I need to first sell my coins in China, then buy them back outside China.  If you know anything about any part of this plan that might help, please contribute.

To sell in China, I can either use an exchange like BTCChina, or sell for cash locally (localbitcoins?)

Once I have the CNY, I will either wire it to Hong Kong through a friend, or fly the cash to Hong Kong.  I'm not sure what the rules are in order to be able to just wire straight from a Chinese bank account to my US/UK bank account or bitstamp.  I'm a US citizen.

Once I have cash in Hong Kong, I will either wire it to Bitstamp, fly to someone anywhere in the world who will sell me a large volume of bitcoins at the Bitstamp rate, or convert the cash to gold 1oz pandas and hoard them because they are pretty and shiny.

Thanks for any advice.

Don't fly cash to Hong Kong, it's stupid. They have dogs that are trained to smell money at the airports.

Last thing you want is to be stopped when a dog picks it up and you are ushered to customs where they would detain you and take your money.

Sorry had to bring up this point even though it is quite old. Are you aware that there is no limit to the amount of cash you can take in to Hong Kong? One of the only places that offers this.
