If I were you I'd either invest directly in buying BTC or try mining an alt currency and converting to BTC.

It's a nice idea but I think we're quite a few years away from a manned mission to Mars. At least the first settlers will have the benefit of being able to send BTC home - unfortunately anything they buy would not be arriving with them any time soon....

I think now may be a good time to sell the 43 World Coins I have - before the bigger holds of the coin dump huge amounts on to the market!
If you were interested in mining as a hobby - not just a way to get coins - I would try mining some alt coins that can be converted to BTC. If you're purely in it for investment then just buy the coins.

And...
always
always
always
and I mean ALWAYS, made your first trials, attempts, testings with the minimum amount of money in order to prevent heart attacks hehe.
Play safe. Save lives.
The only problem with this is that BTC-e have a $500 minimum for Paypal withdrawals. When ever I use any of the exchanges I only transfer in and out crypto and when I want to sell try to find someone locally.

Recently Gox have been having some withdrawal issues due to a huge amount of new members joining.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it an out and out scam but would advise people to stay away from Gox for the time being and try selling to some locally - Bitstamp would be the next best thing.
Just keep at them and they should get back to you, fingers crossed it should get resolved.

The difference in prices tends to be down to the ease of use/trust worthiness of the exchange in questions however that being said Gox is having some withdrawal issues at the moment.

Not come across that one - hope it's not yet another pointless copy

I think people throw around the world scam too often. Getting cash out is hard but this is likely to be due to the huge influx if new customers. Granted they could always bring on board more staff.... Just be careful!!!

The more BTC I have the more important it becomes!
Not bad - I'd personally have gone for a Bugatti Veyron but I suppose that's the next best thing Joking aside congrats, just don't crash it!
If someone wants to use Bitcoin it's going to be very hard to stop them - the authorities can't sit over the entire population while they use their computes.
It can definitely be a good idea but always remember the difficulty of mining your chosen coin can change so I would always plan and make very conservative estimates so you are not expecting too much too soon.

Learn, offer advise and gain more confidence moving forward with Bitcoin.

Nice idea, would be easier to just say where the apartment is located.
Good luck

I'm not getting close to 800Kh/s - around 700 on average - will have to have a play around!

hi, newbee here.. how can you buy less than 1btc? i see people saying they have 0.2 for example. i thought you can you can only get 1 full btc..
Each coin is divided in to 8 decimal places so no, you don't have to buy a full coin. Lots of ways to buy small amounts, local bitcoins is a start....

I've been using Cryptsy for a while now and had no issues to speak of.
Sometimes when you try to withdraw it shows 'error' but if you keep trying it goes through.
For me it's the best site at the moment and has a lot of markets to choose from.

I'm not daft but what on earth does this mean:
The activity number is determined in this way: time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration 'activity = min(time * 14, posts)'
Time - Well that's obvious. But activity? Can someone explain exactly what that means, what's 'min' and what does the comma stipulate?
Sorry if it's blatantly obvious!
