461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Withdrawing USD from btc-e or another exchange sites ? on: January 06, 2014, 07:09:31 AM
I personally wouldn't withdraw fiat from any exchange at the moment, too many people have been complaining about not receiving.

I would take out BTC and try to sell locally perhaps on local bitcoins.

462  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to invest in BTC??? on: January 06, 2014, 07:06:02 AM
There is no 'best' time to invest. Usually this can only be found with the benefit of hindsight.

Always nice to see new companies accepting BTC  Smiley

Unfortunately I don't need any plumbing supplies at the mo  Wink
464  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this a good idea? on: January 06, 2014, 05:25:16 AM
You'll have to bear in mind the price quoted may only be for a tiny amount - if you try to sell a large amount there may not be the demand.

Also on Cryptsy there is sometimes a large lag which could turn any potential profit in to a loss.

465  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinjar - over 1 month and my bank acct has yet to be approved on: January 06, 2014, 05:20:10 AM
Never heard of Coinjar - if they don't respond to your emails I wouldn't feel confident sending them any BTC or fiat.
466  Economy / Economics / Re: Day trading Alternative currencies on: January 06, 2014, 04:24:58 AM
At the moment Cryptsy is the only place I would trust to trade alt currencies even with its pitfalls. Plan ahead when you can!

There are some other platforms not from what I've seen none of them are any where near as good unfortunately.
467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin with credit card quickest site on: January 06, 2014, 04:21:33 AM
Check out www.virwox.com you can use cc to buy although fees are high and you have to wait 48 hours for first BTC withdrawal.

468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Holy crap that was a large transaction on: January 06, 2014, 04:18:45 AM
That is rather a large sum, now let's just hope they're not planning to change to fiat as this would have somewhat of a detrimental affect on the price.
469  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin price on: January 06, 2014, 04:01:33 AM
I'd put it down to supply and demand above anything else.

More people wanting to buy than sell  Smiley
470  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this a good idea? on: January 06, 2014, 03:59:27 AM
Cool idea, can you proof of it actually working? How do you define which currency is likely to be profitable  Smiley
471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptsy deposit over 6 hours??? WTF?? on: January 06, 2014, 03:56:37 AM
I've had to wait about 12 hours for an ANC deposit to show before and have heard of lots of people waiting even longer.

Now I plan in advance to allow for big delays!
472  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] $150 in PAYPAL I have BTC - MUST BE TRUSTED on: January 06, 2014, 02:55:54 AM
Just sent you a pm now  Smiley
473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MtGox withdrawal hell? Anybody getting fiat out? on: January 06, 2014, 02:42:00 AM
Too many people have been claiming to have issue with Gox. Transferring money out can be a nightmare and is not really recommended. It could take 1 month plus to receive.
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Name the 0.0001 BTC unit - 1st POLL on: January 06, 2014, 02:36:47 AM
Not keen on any of them really, I would prefer grambit as a viable name, none of these here are easy to the ear.

475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: January 05, 2014, 05:35:57 PM
Any clue on why price dropped?
Was wondering the same myself - I think it should stabilise soon  Smiley
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: E-bay ,paypal on: January 05, 2014, 01:19:59 PM
I think it's great what your doing, I'm not too concerned about the eBay side of things but would love to be able to easily buy BTC with PayPal.

I could see BTC increasing quite rapidly if PayPal changed their policies in this regard.
477  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Wiring larger sums from exchange to bank account on: January 05, 2014, 01:14:41 PM
I'd personally transfer in smaller amounts, bit by bit.

Or find people locally wanting to buy and selling to them.

I wouldn't transfer a fortune to my bank!
478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best way to get money from BTC on: January 05, 2014, 01:11:50 PM
The absolute best way to sell BTC in my opinion is face to face, you get cash, the seller gets BTC.

The trick is finding someone local to you  Wink localbitcoins.com can usually help!
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinye West is your newest Bitcoin-inspired cryptocurrency on: January 05, 2014, 01:06:53 PM
This is ridiculous!

I think more of these developers should show proper respect for Bitcoin and what it is try to achieve.

I don't have any issues with alt currencies but most of them are simply despicable!
