61  Economy / Services / Re: USA ROADTRIP POWERED BY BITCOIN on: July 17, 2014, 08:53:38 AM
I would only look to promote something that would, or could potentially, offer me a return on investment, how would promoting Bitcoin benefit me?
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who wants more bitcoin expansion locally + a job on: July 17, 2014, 08:50:41 AM
Interesting however this would only benefit people with a lot of BTC already (if we work on the fact that BTC will increase in value if more shops accept it).
This is not beneficial to the people trying to sell the idea of BTC to shops as there is nothing to say someone else can't do the same thing.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Long-term sustainability of Bitcoin on: July 17, 2014, 08:43:51 AM
I tend to not both thinking about the sustainability of Bitcoin; it's simply best to have some just in case the price per BTC in currency skyrockets - no interest in it as a form of payment.
64  Economy / Services / Re: USA ROADTRIP POWERED BY BITCOIN on: July 17, 2014, 08:39:51 AM
I should also mention that I have nothing to promote  Sad
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is unfair to the non tech-savvy on: July 17, 2014, 08:37:07 AM
I get the point of the OP. I'm not at all tech-savvy but still have some BTC, just enough to take advantage of a sudden move up but I would never put a lot in to it.

It can definitely be seen as unfair as someone who knows everything about how BTC works is at an advantage to those who don't. I still find it complicated but most of I have absolutely no interest in 'how' it works, I will always prefer physical wealth to BTC, ALWAYS!
66  Economy / Services / Re: USA ROADTRIP POWERED BY BITCOIN on: July 17, 2014, 08:31:24 AM
Nice idea, good luck with it, sadly I'm not US based so it is not suitable for me Sad
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: question: Why aren't bitcoin merchants incentivizing bitcoin use? on: July 17, 2014, 08:29:16 AM
When BTC is more widespread this may very well be the base but at the moment I can only see people accepting BTC if it is beneficial to themselves, not the consumer.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Building Bitcoin Bank/Exchange Association in Antartica on: July 16, 2014, 06:24:16 AM
Interesting idea but it should be mentioned that said land is unclaimed for a pretty big reason  Grin
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is the Real Reason people are interested in Bitcoin on: July 16, 2014, 06:04:13 AM
I would say that the real reason that most people are interested in Bitcoin is because they are hoping that the price skyrockets and it makes them money.

Obviously there are some libertarians that like the thought of taking the power of money away from the Fed and Gov't, and then there is a smaller number of people that are interested in it's potential for micro-transactions.

At the end of the day, I would say the largest percentage of people are here because they are hoping to hit it big like some of the early adopters that got in in the single digits.

I'd have agree with this, I'd like to see the mentality change but it will likely take time!

That's and interesting philosophy, let's hope the price does indeed double lol

You could at least put a bit of effort in trying to rip people off, this is pathetic.

76  Other / MultiBit / Import private key shows only one tx on: February 07, 2014, 09:32:48 AM
I sent from multibit BTC 4 times to a paper wallet.

Tried to import private key back to multibit and only imported the last transaction, all the dates are correct.

Any ideas why this is and if it's possible to fix?
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is Multibit a safe online wally? on: February 04, 2014, 04:29:25 PM
Paper wallet is not easy to set up by the way

Paper wallets are very easy to set up using bit address.

Yeah that should be fine, I'll send you a pm in about 30 mins when I'm home, would prefer to meet a bit closer to asoke bts perhaps in terminal 21 if possible, and trade cash for BTC
80  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (WTS) 0.54 BTC - Cash only in BKK on: February 04, 2014, 05:01:09 AM
Bitstamp -2.5% and 1:33 USD/THB

I'll got for that, how do you want to exchange, are you in BKK?
I am in Phuket. If you need vacation you could came here, relax from the trouble in bkk. Cheesy

Otherwise we could do on the way which you suggest.

I use Bangkok bank I could pm you my acc no and if you send funds I can send you the private key for the paper wallet.

Not sure how escrow would work unless there is a reliable escrow based in Thailand who can take the funds from you?
