Ok - here goes. This is my FIRST ever post on a forum, so if I'm messing up sorry, I'll get better.
I've some questions about Dopecoin mining.
1) I've sync'd the wallet -ok, but the number of current active connections is 1. Do I need, to add a...ahhh .conf file and how?
2) Backup up the, currently empty, wallet - but articles that I've found on the 'net, not specifically about DopeCoin, state that I'll need to re-backup the wallet on occasion. I thought that the wallet was basically an access to an address, sort of, so as long as I have that address + access to it ie password then everything's kosher.
3)Buying Dopecoin is fairly straightforward, the wallet though has the feature - under options, a transaction fee/ kb? For what type of transaction? Dopecoin use in real life?
4) I've an idea about how DopeCoin could be more popular, but haven't read the entire 450+ pages of this forum. Are ideas that might be repeats ok to talk about, or as a newbie should I just stick to basic mining/forum questions?
Hope this posting works, odd to do + not exactly intuitive.
hello and welcome 1) optional, do if you need to, examples can easily be found using search 2) do not save an unencrypted copy of your wallet.dat. do save multiple copys of your wallet.dat, on different media, and you should refresh the backup with every change you make to the wallet, as new addresses are created with almost every transaction. you may or may not want to export the private key(s). 3) the tx fee pays the miners for processing transactions, and helps prevent spammers from atacking. if you want to, you can pay extra, it should speed the tx 4) lots of free speech/libertarians around heah ... pls feel free

I just noticed that I'm still at 11% after two days. Is there a .conf file I could put in some newer nodes to speed it up? Looks like the last listed bootstrap is unavailable now.
Strange thing, I rebooted it and it said 23% done then went back to after a little while 11%.

How do you add extra nodes? i don't have a hemp.conf in my wallet folder right click on a blank area inside the .../roaming/hempcoin folder, click new text document name it hempcoin.conf, (delete any '.txt') (again, confirm you saved as 'hempcoin.conf' and not 'hempcoin.conf.txt') click to open the file, nodes can be added like this: addnode=192.168.1.1:5780 addnode= ....

interested in a masternode also. How many coins are required for it? Also I just started staking it and idk where i can find faqs about how many i can earn while stakeing. THanks.
Page 1 of this thread: Coin Age Requirement: 45 days for 5% stake...... I stake every 45+ day's or so and get 5%'ish on my stash. .. but i guess it really only works if your not sending and receiving coins cause that maturity resets with each use i believe. Is there any limit on the amount of coins staked? how many are you currently staking? Could you please give a quick discription what it entails to start staking? do i just click the unlock wallet for mining and keep my computer on 24/7? Thanks before you can stake THC the coins have to be in the wallet, unmoved, for at least 45 days. once mature, open, synchronize, then unlock the wallet. that's it! the coins stake automatically

I have a limited amount of experience with wallets. Which type of file do I save the backup wallet as? Also, how do I obtain my private keys to my wallet? thanks.
hi and welcome. you can make a copy of your wallet.dat, (rather several, on different media) put it in a safe place, other than the "C" drive (make sure the wallet is encrypted) and, you can make a paper wallet or you can dump and save the keys, but do be sure that no one can find access to them (do not store unencrypted on pc) to extract the keys: 1) go to [Help]> Debug window>[console]> (type:) listaddressgroupings hit [Enter] the wallet should output some addresses 2) (type) dumpprivkey <insert dopecoin address> hit [enter] do that for all the addresses you got in step one also, if you have a lot of space, you can always just keep a copy of the data dir somewhere, but again be sure the wallet is encrypted (has a password) if you type help (hit Enter) on the CLI you will get a list of all the commands that you can use finally, to find the data directoty, you'll need to unhide system hidden folders, if you're in Windows, go to control panel, folder options, about half way down the scrolling list the data dir is located @ C:\\users\<your user name>\appdata\roaming\dopecoin it's also a very good idea to be sure your PC is free of viri and malware before doing this, (Spybot S&D, Malwarebytes, AV scan) also you can disconnect from the ether

I downloaded client wallet for Win. But although it synchronized before, it does not synchronize now. I tried it by four PC of Win.
What should I do? I made the conf file. But that doesn't also seem to be moving.
I may make a mistake in a making method of a conf file. Would you teach it in detail to me?
here are the addnodes from cryptopia: addnode=23.94.55.149:33666 addnode=185.25.60.199:33666 addnode=192.169.6.147:33666 addnode=82.200.205.30:33666 addnode=149.202.102.73:33666 addnode=213.196.46.165:33666 addnode=203.20.114.252:33666 addnode=192.252.214.108:33666 https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=FUNKto create a new .conf do this: go to the data dir right click on a blank area inside the directory select new text document name the file cypherfunk.conf (be sure to delete the .txt, and be sure to save as 'all files', instead of .txt) when done click on the item and add the text from the code box above save and restart the wallet to load the new conf
