How do you set up a node?
just run the wallet! your presence on the network will help/give someone the ability to connect and sync

go to geticoin.com, scroll down to the twitter link and it is on there that hempcoin is changing to Icoin? someone somewhere is pulling a scam then.... tottyt aahh no that is HMP hempcoin, this is the THC ( The Hemp Coin) thread

since its x11 maybe something similar to pivx i do hope we can avoid centralized masternodes, every wallet needs to have equal access imo. however it is possible to incentivise fast hardware and frequent/continuous stakers
|
|
|
maybe if the min stake age was moved to 8 hrs or something, instead of a week, we'd see more blks rolling

Regarding the node count, a rather technical point, just there turning POS would make sense. For attracting POW hashrate one needs more solid economy baselines and the coin supply got mined almost completely. Price low, too.
Agreed. I think POS makes more sense. Of course would be adding some tiny amount of inflation, people WILL use that against you on price prediction discussions. When beeing all fresh&young (know, tiiiime ago) I was wondering about bitcoin inflation where nobody talked about. Like 9.19% of total supply incoming fresh, and each year. Below 2% yearly inflation people would not start to argue, most national economies are heading for a similar inflation goal. yea +1 for going PoS and low annual rate. but what flavor? PoSP? Blackcoin? need to get those nodes staking ...

is no one staking? presstabs BE shows lots of nodes but chain hasn't moved for several hours

Guys, what with YoBit? I have some ZEIT on this exchange. Is it the end of my investing?)
Yobit has been down for ~ year. I send numerous emails and bombarded their troll box in every language for weeks. They will take it out of maintenance , but then will place it back in maintenance almost immediately. I finally gave up on them. Which if you look everytime I show the exchange status it always says: Exchange Status Yobit Do not use Yobit The only suggestion I have left , is to sue them when the value of your coins is high enough to make it worthwhile. just sell your Zeits on yobit, their BTCwallet is almost always online. then you can convert the btc to lite or doge on the other exchanges and buy them back profitably

|
Yes, any coins you had are safe. We just released our software , but our previous volume was not high enough. So, Im looking at other exchanges.
Vegas
I just found out Bleutrade, delisted Fly, too. I had close to a thousand Fly. Not sure how I am going to be able to get my coins out? Still waiting on getting my wallet squared away. Have 6k in old wallet.dat that does not want to show in new wallet. I looked for my coins at Bleu, but could not find them. FUN, FUN, FUN! Peace, Dennis hey dennis, bleutrade is no problem. on your wallet page, scroll to bottom and click where it says " Click here to reload with delisted coins."

Do you think increasing the incentive to create a incentive node might help..
I see some of the just copy and paste of dash with no actual developers coins are pumping hard on the basis of having masternodes.
I don't think people realise xvc has it's own masternode type system and offers a lot more than most of these copy and paste coins.
just saw this thread and wanted to know hoy many XVC's I have to have to start a masternode? we don't really have masternodes, but well connected peers running on fast hardware can run an incentivized node(s)(as many as you want but only one incentivized node per IP), the collateral amt required to earn rewards is 10,000 XVC/peer instance (anyone running the full ledger client can become an incentivized node) more info - https://vcash.info/https://docs.vcash.info/technologies/node-incentives/

Don't worry guys, I got ya, syncing now thanks !
|
|
|
Just understand that my wallet is out of synch probably because I am still with former version
Could someone share with me the steps to install the latest version.
I mean, should I delete the current one I have, or not?
thanks for the guidance
there's no installer for our QT, just archive or delete the old one and put in the new one and run it, do make some kind of backup first, ofc Can anyone link me to a hempcoin graphics bundle? none that i know of, but there's lots in the thread, go to the OP and search .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, .jpg, .png ... etc.

Are there any miners optimized for this coin? I have cpuminer-opt-3.6.1 more to appear a valid action is taking too long. take note of what the miner says when you start it up. it will list the properties of your cpu - then run the miner that matches ...

hey there thanks for an opportunity to join the beta test for the yoBit pump alert. i'm trying to send payment to startup my account, but the wallet isn't working. it's acting like my computer is way too busy, i.e. it took well over a half an hour to compile and display the send, and now, after about 12 hours, the tx is still unconfirmed, BUT the "checkwallet" command returns "wallet check passed":true so wtf wallet is responding, but very very s l o w l y

no idea whether or not i'm on the right chain, but my wallet has been running fine all along, staked on 4/2/17 ...
