the fly paradigm is unique where most alts prefer the decentralized core, vegasguy is trying to help us build a capitalist empire ( ) he surely has devoted a lot of his personal time and money into this project i keep pointing to vcash and decred because of what they are doing: -addressing the fundamental shortfalls of the core technology (that FLY is a clone of) -insuring that decentralized governance can and will forever direct the development of the software personally, i feel that these are goals desirable, but i'm sot sure if they're short term attainable or adaptable to our cause fwiw i also think the vegascoin, or vegas' coin or losvegascoin, laketahoecoin? could be a great marketing angle for fly, +1

some random thoughts
while we're configuring our 'master plan', why not some discussion about other features that might be explored, like anon send/receive, encrypted messaging, perhaps some kind of 'accounting' tab in the wallet where you might record what went where and why ...
otoh, sometimes it's just cool to be cool and see where the waves will take you, but i think as a community we really need to determine what the ultimate fly money supply will ever be, otherwise it is impossible to generate meaningful numbers for PoS, paid nodes, etc
the vcash system constantly probes the nodes for ping times, uptime and other params, only the best have a chance for a prize, makes for a very slick network

I've noticed the zpool list of nodes as the port number after the IP, do we need to remove these in our magi.conf or if they will work fine with our without? Also, does anybody know if we need to restart the wallet for the changes in the conf to take effect? they will work fine with the :xxxxxx included, and yes, restart the wallet

In the Vcash installer folder there are 2 files: Vcash and vcashd. Which one should I launch to install the wallet?
vcash Thank you. What is the second file for? it is a CLI wallet (daemon)

I'm not finding this info, but I have a mining rig and am currently mining ETH with Claymore. I'm getting about 100 Mh/s mining ETH. Would that also be 100 Mh/s mining Decred or would it be higher/lower? Trying to calculate my potential DCR earnings.
my r9-280x does about 1.3 ghashps

Just a reminder the Crypto Bullion 2.4.1 hard fork will take place in a few hours; I can see there are still some old 2.3 Vaults running on the network - those will not be able to connect to the CBX network in a few hours... please update to 2.4.1 Focus on CBX!!! is the new wallet working? i'm still on 2.3 (hadn't noticed the update incoming) but the bulls are staking like mad! wassup? in the last 24 hrs the vault has been staking at ~25x the usual rate

I have the exact same as in Problem Kamesh! By profile I should receive 5400 gold per hour! For several weeks, I only get about 800 gold per hour! What is the problem?
if you read back a page or 2 you will see. short story, the site is moving to a new server soon

Because I have some free code time coming up... here are the updates coming to Blazecoin * Re-organize OP :: done * Revamp https://blazeco.in* Reskin the GUI wallet back to a more basic feel (big request from users)... I may keep an optional Red/Black custom design available if others want it. * Integrate the visual GUI for the coin control that people have asked for. * Create a new Blockstrap file to get everyone up to speed faster. Other things that have been on the back burner... * Integrate transactional messages into the blockchain * Finish the mobile wallet revamp (Hopefully over the coming months I'll also be able to announce the trade-in value for a new coin that has some really unique features... but that information is only for those of you who still read this old Blazecoin thread.) gr8 update - ty nice active market on Cryptopia

i've been trying to sync my wallet for 2 weeks. can anyone help me with some suggestions? I've deleted the chain twice now and it downloads rather quickly up to block 469383 and then it just stays there forever. i can see 3 connections with the network. i'm out of ideas
you're having trouble because the blockchain is moving very slowly atm. if you read back a few posts, you will see. ppl who were mining at cryptopia could solo mine, that would help despite the issues i was recently able to sync up and transfer some coin from cryptopia if the wallet stops, just wait a while, (maybe a day+) or if it does get stuck while the chain is running, just restart the wallet

So, when you say speed, is it speed of the computer hosting the wallet? Speed of internet connection?
Also you mention connect-ability as a factor. Can you be more detailed?
If anyone else knows , please chime in.
Vegas vcash has peers and superpeers. superpeers are more connectable; they've opened a port. the network they support exists in RAM on the host machines (vcash now/soon supports instant off blackchain txes, with 'zerotime' and 'zeroledger') the internal voting system favors peers with faster response times and longer up times i recently had to upgrade from hdd to sdd storage for my O.S. drive, as with the hard drive my computer was getting fewer and fewer rewards not sure what effect i.s.p. speed has on the whole picture, i have a fiber-optic connection, but not the fastest plan a key feature of the vcash network is its use of udp connectivity
|
|
|
the collateral amount secures the network also; an attacker might want to run many nodes, so this number is critical in more than one way. A successful network of Masternodes requirements should prefer servers in datacentres with dedicated IP addresses, not home/business single-ended internet connections.
If your masternodes are popping off and on the network and changing addresses, this will cause more instability than without masternodes. i am running an incentivized node for vcash. the focus is on speed and connectability, but dynamic ip addresses don't affect the vcash (multi-tier) network in a negative way, but you do need a very fast machine if you expect to compete with the 'elite'

hey halibit - the zeit wallet has been offline @ alcruex.org for some time. are you going to transfer the coin to the new site or enable the wallet on the old site so we can? thanks
@groggin, You will probably get a faster response to your question, if you use the Live Support forum on https://alcurex.com . yeah tried that, lol [edit] really. made a ticket, etc., ..... ...... ....... hello?
