Nevermind the silver standard, anything on the NXT system is dependant on NXT, a for profit venture, surviving. If they go under every asset (fake cryptocoin) attached to it goes down in flames.
Nxt is a decentralised crypto-platform and currency, completely open source with no corporate elements. It was created to offer functionality that BTC simply can't provide.....one thing that Nxt isn't is a for profit venture. As Nxt is as decentralised as possible, and run on a voluntary basis, it will take a disaster with all crypto to make Nxt fail. Compare the structures of corporate systems like Ripple or Bitshares to that of Nxt.....see the difference? |

To clarify, I do not work for, or am I employed by Banx/Mark Lyford. All my promos, including my own project promos for MonetaryUnit ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=778322.0) have used my own personal time and funds, which have been significant. I am a crypto advocate and do not spend my time trying to bash other projects, but instead try to push forward to create a positive crypto environment. My last Banx promo generated hundreds of new signups to the www.Banx.io exchange ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1215337.0) and this can only be a good thing, especially as BanxCapital is one of my handful of big crypto investments. I'll look to doing another www.Banx.io related promo in the near future, and apologies to anyone who was looking to take advantage of this offer. It is hard enough fitting in a job, family, personal life and crpyto without having to take even more time defending against small minded people. |

You and I both know that BanxShares are worthless: there is no form of revenue being generated by any of the Banx-related schemes, they cannot be traded anywhere except on Banx.io, and Banx holds the vast majority of them anyway.
You guys have had plenty of opportunites to prove that Banx is a (semi-) legitimate business, and you can't.
All we see from Banx in response are pathetic ad hominem attacks.
If Banx was a real business, you would have accounts. It's as simple as that.
Mark promised to produce evidence of income from Banx projects, and he can't.
If you want to be taken seriously, try acting like a real business: keep accounts, publish trading data.

Take your vitriol elsewhere please. I am using my own time and my own money to promote crypto, and will continue to do that. I'm not interested in what you have to say, so please find a platform elsewhere, and not in my thread giving away my own money. Yeah....ummm......so who are you, and what is your role within Banx ? Well....if you're willing to get technical with the Nxt Monetary System, you can create mineable currencies, using a selection of algos. https://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Monetary_System#Currency_TypesMintable
If Mintable is checked, three extra fields appear:
MINIMUM DIFFICULTY: The minimum difficulty (minimum 1).
MAXIMUM DIFFICULTY: The maximum difficulty (maximum 255 and greater than the minimum).
ALGORITHM: The hashing algorithm to use. Select SHA256, SHA3, Scrypt, or Keccak25.
A mintable currency is issued with an INITIAL SUPPLY of currency that can increase over time until the TOTAL SUPPLY is reached; thus TOTAL SUPPLY is better named MAXIMUM SUPPLY in this case.
The currency supply is increased through a minting process, governed by the above properties. Minting does not secure the currency as mining does for some other virtual currencies such as Bitcoin; the currency is already secured by the Nxt blockchain and network.

If anyone wants to get their NAUT exchanged to NXTNAUT through me, get your NAUT moving now..... As far as the health of the NAUT network is concerned, I'm not going to make any predictions. I expect that there will still be enough hashrate on the old Nautilus blockchain to make transfers for another month or 2, maybe longer, but I can't give any guarantees on that. |

Still, you've got admire iCE's determination.....but maybe he is just projecting his disappointment with Monero on to NXT.
As people have pointed out, you can substitute 'Monero' for 'Nxt' in all of his posts, without losing any of the message, as iCE almost never bothers to include any information to back up his position.

A credit card service is a big step.......debit is the closest we have right now, but I agree, it could be useful.
FreeMarket marketing is FreeMarkets problem, they are an external project, and I mostly deal with Nxt core stuff.
Tennessee will also be concentrating on marketing for Nxt core.
Having said that, I'll be up for helping FreeMarket out, if the need arises.

Take a look at using a NXT-based token system for your in-game currency.
Saves a lot of work on currency creation and maintenance that can go on game coding instead.
