101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Banx and how they mislead their customers, includes manipulation and PONZI ALERT on: October 31, 2015, 12:56:11 PM
Great customer service attitude there from Mark L.

Here's the manual of how to create/kickstart/run a decentralised organisation, and why decentralised orgs have advantages over more traditional structures:

103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Silver Starian on: October 30, 2015, 05:08:12 PM
Nevermind the silver standard, anything on the NXT system is dependant on NXT, a for profit venture, surviving. If they go under every asset (fake cryptocoin) attached to it goes down in flames.

Nxt is a decentralised crypto-platform and currency, completely open source with no corporate elements. It was created to offer functionality that BTC simply can't provide.....one thing that Nxt isn't is a for profit venture.
As Nxt is as decentralised as possible, and run on a voluntary basis, it will take a disaster with all crypto to make Nxt fail.

Compare the structures of corporate systems like Ripple or Bitshares to that of Nxt.....see the difference?
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: and another day of anger, frustrations, criticism and unconstructive comments... on: October 30, 2015, 04:08:18 PM
Thanks, Mis069......so this means that you're in the running to become Legendary at any random moment from now on,  and that me and Spoetnik will have to put in about 10-40% more forum time/activity before we become Legends. Interesting......

Spoetnik....first one to Legendary buys the beer ?

Hilariously, bizzyb has stormed off and locked his 2 for 1 Banx offer thread, because I was so horrible to him:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1219292.msg12828498#msg12828498

Quote from: bizzyb link=topic=1219292.msg12828498#msg12828498
Due to the lack of interest in this thread I am locking it.

Also, this is in no small part due to "EvilDave" wanting to hijack this thread pushing his own NXT/Barr.me/anti-Banx agenda, well done Dave, what a fantastic advocate for crypto you are.

To clarify, I do not work for, or am I employed by Banx/Mark Lyford.

All my promos, including my own project promos for MonetaryUnit (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=778322.0)
have used my own personal time and funds, which have been significant.

I am a crypto advocate and do not spend my time trying to bash other projects, but instead try to push forward to create a positive crypto environment.
My last Banx promo generated hundreds of new signups to the www.Banx.io exchange (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1215337.0) and this can only be a good thing, especially as BanxCapital is one of my handful of big crypto investments.

I'll look to doing another www.Banx.io related promo in the near future, and apologies to anyone who was looking to take advantage of this offer.
It is hard enough fitting in a job, family, personal life and crpyto without having to take even more time defending against small minded people.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: and another day of anger, frustrations, criticism and unconstructive comments... on: October 30, 2015, 12:32:53 PM
I will be ranked LEGEND here at Bitcointalk in 3.5 months.. you've all been warned  Cool

How does one attain Legendary?

Tell us, oh wise one, there's a beverage in it for you.....

Seiously: me and La Spoet are both rolling as Hero Members on 700 Activity, but S has 5000 posts, while I'm only on 2200.....and Toke gets to be a Legend with 868 Activity and 3800 posts. So, how does it work ?

@BitHappy24: thanks, mate, you too.  Grin
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Warning] Forum Games on: October 30, 2015, 01:27:46 AM
And, as a general rule for any newbs.....the people who shout loudest at Spoetnik are often not entirely trustworthy.

There are a lot of scammers around: do your own research and never rush to buy in to a hype.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: and another day of anger, frustrations, criticism and unconstructive comments... on: October 30, 2015, 01:14:46 AM
I had a good day......sun was shining, CMC was green, plans came together. Grin
109  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Exactly $0 worth of crypto give-away - limited offer - get in early. on: October 30, 2015, 01:05:05 AM
No, my sweet, this is all about Banx.

You and I both know that BanxShares are worthless: there is no form of revenue being generated by any of the Banx-related schemes, they cannot be traded anywhere except on Banx.io, and Banx holds the vast majority of them anyway.

You guys have had plenty of opportunites to prove that Banx is a (semi-) legitimate business, and you can't.
All we see from Banx in response are pathetic ad hominem attacks.

If Banx was a real business, you would have accounts. It's as simple as that.
Mark promised to produce evidence of income from Banx projects, and he can't.

If you want to be taken seriously, try acting like a real business: keep accounts, publish trading data.

BTW: Is BanxShares a crypto-currency or an asset ?
Take your vitriol elsewhere please.

I am using my own time and my own money to promote crypto, and will continue to do that.

I'm not interested in what you have to say, so please find a platform elsewhere, and not in my thread giving away my own money.

Yeah....ummm......so who are you, and what is your role within Banx ?
Did Banx provide you with the BanxShares you used in this promotion (and the earlier one) ?
Or did you buy them with your own money ?

111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Game and Coin on: October 29, 2015, 07:23:42 PM
Well....if you're willing to get technical with the Nxt Monetary System, you can create mineable currencies, using a selection of algos.
https://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Monetary_System#Currency_Types

Quote
Mintable

If Mintable is checked, three extra fields appear:

MINIMUM DIFFICULTY: The minimum difficulty (minimum 1).

MAXIMUM DIFFICULTY: The maximum difficulty (maximum 255 and greater than the minimum).

ALGORITHM: The hashing algorithm to use. Select SHA256, SHA3, Scrypt, or Keccak25.

A mintable currency is issued with an INITIAL SUPPLY of currency that can increase over time until the TOTAL SUPPLY is reached; thus TOTAL SUPPLY is better named MAXIMUM SUPPLY in this case.
The currency supply is increased through a minting process, governed by the above properties. Minting does not secure the currency as mining does for some other virtual currencies such as Bitcoin; the currency is already secured by the Nxt blockchain and network.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NAUT] Nautiluscoin to Nxt-based Nautilus redemption process. on: October 29, 2015, 06:51:17 PM
With perfect timing (thanks, BitcoinNational), I've just heard today that the Drachmae exchange is fully live for NAUT exchanges:
https://www.drachmae.exchange/

I'll keep this manual redemption process open for the next 8 days, so my cut-off point will be Friday 6 November at midnight CET.
If anyone wants to get their NAUT exchanged to NXTNAUT through me, get your NAUT moving now.....

As far as the health of the NAUT network is concerned, I'm not going to make any predictions. I expect that there will still be enough hashrate on the old Nautilus blockchain to make transfers for another month or 2, maybe longer, but I can't give any guarantees on that.

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are BanxShares as good as GAW Paycoin? on: October 29, 2015, 06:33:03 PM
Nope....but they are trying to get new suckers investors in, using the classic technique of making people think they are getting something of value for nothing:

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: October 29, 2015, 07:19:55 AM
Yup, Bittrex have already carried out the swap, so the Nautiluscoin on 'Trex is the new NXT MS-based NAUT.

Check through the NAUT redemption thread for more information:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1182317.0

If you want to move your NAUT out of Bittrex....get a NXT client sorted out.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll result: NXT is a proper cryptocurrency on: October 28, 2015, 08:06:36 PM
Still, you've got admire iCE's determination.....but maybe he is just projecting his disappointment with Monero on to NXT.
As people have pointed out, you can substitute 'Monero' for 'Nxt' in all of his posts, without losing any of the message, as iCE almost never bothers to include any information to back up his position.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitShares 2.0 on: October 28, 2015, 07:58:49 PM
If BTS had pulled 100k TPS in the real world....they would probably have mentioned it by now.

Stan 'n' Dans total silence on this forum since the BTS 2.0 launch speaks volumes.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT Launches Marketing Project, Codenamed “Project Tennessee” on: October 27, 2015, 11:12:51 PM
A credit card service is a big step.......debit is the closest we have right now, but I agree, it could be useful.

FreeMarket marketing is FreeMarkets problem, they are an external project, and I mostly deal with Nxt core stuff.
Tennessee will also be concentrating on marketing for Nxt core.
Having said that, I'll be up for helping FreeMarket out, if the need arises.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Game and Coin on: October 27, 2015, 06:45:34 PM
Take a look at using a NXT-based token system for your in-game currency.
Saves a lot of work on currency creation and maintenance that can go on game coding instead.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT Launches Marketing Project, Codenamed “Project Tennessee” on: October 27, 2015, 06:40:11 PM
Thanks @Marcus1986. Smiley

@Thenoticer: NXT already has a crypto debit card available via Coinomat,
so you can use NXT to buy anything that you can buy with fiat, providing you're willing to do some KYC verification:
