We're in a great place right now, another exchange listing could really push us over the edge.
I can see a time in the near future when 0.001 will look cheap for PMC.
It's all about marketing here. Look at XCP, today value on poloniex is 0.013 and don't offer nothing more than PMC. PMC has massive potential to reach heights I dare not even say. I will just keep pushing and doing what I can. Behind PMC all the way.

PMC is SHA-256. Needs ASIC miner, not GPU Or you could buy a few hundred PMC instead. So much great news to come out of PMC today I do not know where to start. We have momentum now.

Have anyone started tweeting about premine? And also making pmc tip bot on reddit and randomly tipping peeps some pmc may also spread the message
there is an official twitter @premine_PMC gaining some followers, RTs, and mentions are always appreciated. we discussed a reddit bot, but the general consensus was: "but how?" Approaching someone who has developed one for another altcoin? PMC is becoming rather valuable, and the more the prices goes up, the more weight we have to buy services. I have 2975 PMC left for such things.

I had a good laugh about it.

Still way too cheap, though. Might have to snap a few thousand up myself.

You know what I like most about it?
It looks expensive.

New logo looks very slick. I really like it.

Changing the block reward is like someone slashing the price of the product after you've purchased it. It changes the value of coins previously mined by adjusting their scarcity.
Whether that is fair or not, I couldn't say, but if I'd been mining particle for months, then find the block rewards were about to double, for example, I'd be pretty miffed.

How would you spread PMC? If the idea is good, there will probably be some people here (including me) who could give you some PMC in return. I'd chip in to hire folks for this, and pay in PMC. Add 100 PMC bounty from me. If i like the idea. We could do with someone sending payouts to miners who mine blocks with 0 block rewards on the blockchain. Here's the idea; those who are tasked with the job of distributing PMC give x amount to every address that has mined an empty block on the blockchain from a certain starting block. This makes their work verifiable on the blockchain if they use the wallet command to send the coins from a specific address. I can post a more detailed explanation later, but this would be a fantastic way to distribute PMC. Even my Block Rewarder misses some blocks from time to time. Or it's possible to collect all the miners' addresses with 0 block reward and pick one random winner every day or every 12 hours or 6 or.... Obviously this miners giveaway have to be promoted before. I tried to write a script that did this but the online blockchain explorer doesn't like having so many pages accessed, and the API doesn't have what I need to code it. I don't mind releasing the source code for it if someone else would like a go. If there's a way to script it that isn't too difficult I'd be happy to look into it.

^^ As for really simple giveaways, I'm always a fan of the pay-it-forward sort of thing. Thread poster starts with 25 PMC, gives half to the next poster (12.5), and so on until no one wants the last drop of PMC. It creates a lot of transactions, and newbies will want some, even if its down to .01 PMC. Also, I think credit card should have some PMC. He's a nice moral guy and actively helps If PMC sees success, I think the community should give back a sizeable chunk of their holdings to the dev so that he is not only rewarding for his previous work, but incentivized to keep putting in more. I believe the dev said he would be investing in PMC by purchasing it. I think the best thing I can do is work hard to actively promote PMC and make sure it's as valuable as it should be. I'm always speaking to people to see who can help us. I have PMC to spend on development and I intend to use it. Yes, I did purchase some on the exchanges. Just for the record. I intend to use projected profits for further development of PMC. Sounds like a great plan. PMC has a very bright future ahead of it

The reason you don't see PoS implemented more is because it is a lot of modding to the out-of-box bitcoin code to do it. You could take something like PeerCoin I guess and base it on that. But, its a little more complex to implement it.
I would say we can keep PoS on the table as an option, but further down the road once we get the current Qt wallet updated and the new advanced wallet out the door. Need to space these major features out so we have realistic time for development ;-)
So, the question for the community is how would you like to adjust the block reward algorithm to encourage continued mining.
We could bump it back up to 180 coins, or 360, for a longer period of time?
Let's tackle the block reward first.
Do you know what would be really cool? To play into the idea of particles.. Change the block reward to the atomic weight of a random element from the periodic table each day. Only once for each one. Shuffle a list then each block record is the next atomic weight on the list. Then those who keep track will be able to "guess" what the next block reward will be by which atomic weights are left from the periodic table. Once all the elements have been cycled through, shuffle the the list and start again. Pick one element to always start from. That will be the signal that the cycle has started over again. Particle would both be unique, interesting, and for those that want to play the game, they work out when best to mine Particle. Or they could always mine it and get an average reward over x amount of blocks. Just a thought. https://www.webelements.com/

Another scrypt clone rip off scam coin from a random shadowy anon dev ? wow awesome !
die ..please go do it.. i'll even pay for the box of razor blades and mail them to you.
Do you even read threads before you post in them? You're wrong on every single point. Please do your research first. Not only are you wrong, but you're just embarrassing yourself. 1: Coin is not a "clone". It is a Scrypt based coin with unique block reward. 2: Dev is publicly known and an actual developer, which can't be said of 99% of altcoins. Get your facts right before you start posting empty threats.

The last Windows QT isn't working for me either. I tried everything but it is always showing "hashespermin" : "No information yet. Wait at least 4 minutes after starting mining for estimate." even after some hours. We need another version.
I've officially given up. Lack of information or working QT. Just no. Back to mining Particle.
