Sometimes just for fun I take mah87 off ignore for a few moments to see if he is still pumping ripple.

I always put him straight back on again though.

Like someone on here said: Gox hasn't reached its final form yet :p

That could take years.  Everyone seems to think a resolution one way or another will be reached in a month or so.  Guess what:  it won't.

Yes any particular reason for the dip to 248 on Gox?  Or just Gox being Gox.  It shook BSP a bit which is stupid.  BSP traders should know better.

@ Yolintian:  it's bait to get people to deposit fiat on Gox.

If you aren't the sole controller of your private keys, you don't have any bitcoins.
+1
+1 Every time you use any exchange you're risking your coins.

I don't keep coins on exchange only dirty fiat.

Lack of volatility seems to be correlated with an increase in the quality of the posts.

I'm starting to like this.

Too many words not enough pictures of llamas.

Unfortunately it's bitcoin.  Once it's gone it's gone.

You probably have a key logger.  Suggest you completely wipe your system and start again from scratch. Use Linux.

Relevantly Mr Nakamoto has not spent any of his premined coins.  The day that happens you will have cause for complaint.  Until then, no.
7771  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flash Crash Buy Orders. on: February 18, 2014, 03:51:34 AM
BFX operators have publicly stated they will roll back flash crashes to protect their lenders.

So far so good with Bitfinex.  Everything has run smoothly and when they have had a problem they have been open about it and fixed it.  Good communication.

Tried coinsetter?

They replied to all of my tickets but did not resolve the underlying issue (which to their credit has now been resolved).   To be fair to them they are clearly struggling with a spike in volume triggered by the current price slump.

I do wonder whether it is as simple as they ran out of fiat on BTC E or  Bitstamp.  If so it's perfectly understandable and I would wish they could just be straightforward about it.

Also only having support during Australian business hours is a significant decision.  I used them as one side of an arbitrage trade at 4pm Friday and didn't get the coins back until Tuesday. Won't do that again.

Yes agree their spot price is way up today.  Normally it's about 3% more than stamp today it is like 8% more (without taking into account 2% commission).   It's a convenience factor though - I am not going to begrudge them a higher commission if they have decided to hire more support staff until their systems become more robust.

1.2 btc credited back to my account and now hit the blockchain.

So just chasing 0.1 btc at this point.

Much happier.
7776  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinjar trading status and coins failure to send. on: February 17, 2014, 09:27:02 PM
So I sent 1.3 btc total on Friday and still not on the blockchain and still not back in my coinjar account.

They have closed all my tickets without addressing the lost coins.  Opening new tickets.

7778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2014, 10:47:10 AM
It's short term good news. Gox lives. On what terms who knows.

All you whales can take out one coin per month.
7779  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2014, 10:38:36 AM
It's up and bullshit.  Limits.  Next Thursday blah blah

Successful work around more delays.

Market wants to rocket but doesn't know what to do.

Hitting refresh on the Gox home page is getting boring.
