141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tricky situation for Altcoin investment on: November 05, 2023, 08:43:02 AM
The problem is that this is a mistake made by new investors at the end of the Bitcoin bullrun, and they rarely read before making a purchase. I saw the peak of this in 2018, when 10 new threads appeared every day asking "what coin to buy for less than $1". And crypto portals, instead of teaching, provided what the reader was looking for, recommending shitcoins as long as they had a low price per piece.

My thread about this written in 2018.

142  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did you think will happen to Bitcoin before January? on: November 05, 2023, 08:18:27 AM
In general, November, December and January are some of the best months for investing. Besides, the upcoming bitcoin ETF and halving means that there are really a lot of green flags and I don't know why to sell now. in my opinion it's best to hold now until the ETF releases. Untill the official news, in my opinion we will see green months. The day of the announcement will be a day of a short pump and then months of profit-taking for those who are now buying, so it will certainly be a good place to open short or at least realize some of the profits from currently held positions.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE TOP 5 CRYPTO NARRATIVES on: November 04, 2023, 04:01:51 PM
This is what I am waiting for; the process of manifestation is slow, but we are going there. A lot of regulation has to be done. Some traditional financials are slowly migrating to tokenization. It is a big risk they are facing for the front runners, but without doubt, those are the ones that will harvest the fruits.

tell this to all those who have been catching tokens related to this technology for 6 years and have been losing all their capital. And in my opinion it is still too early to invest in such projects by at least 5 years considering how slow the SEC is. And also the fact that when licenses will be issued, the first in line for them will probably be Blackrock and Fidelity, and not projects like Atlant (ATL) - a project that promised tokenized real estate 6 years ago and has not yet delivered, the price has dropped by 99.9% (10$ left from 10 000$ investment) and its fully diluted market cap equals 150k$.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do u guys think about gamerscoins aka bettingongaming ICO? on: November 04, 2023, 08:55:33 AM
There is no way to check whether it is a scam. Think for yourself. a random person releases a token (5 minutes of work to create a smart-contract) and creates a website (probably rebuilding a website from a previous scam, which takes him 1-4 hours). This is all the work done by the person who issues the new token. And are you supposed to trust him not to cheat on you? that he will deliver the product at all even though it is paid in advance and has no formal obligations?
everything can be cheated. Traffic on Twitter, Telegram, Medium can be bought (probably with money from previous scams). Everything on the website may be a lie.

some scammers have entire teams that allow them to launch 10 projects a day only to escape with the money on the same day. Stop falling for this kind of thing. instead, look for something that already works, something that you want to use yourself, something that has a large user base and generates profits, and yet is priced inappropriately.

This is how I made 30x that way. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5208144.msg53299809#msg53299809
145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can this new memecoin match pepe's 570,000% historical growth? on: November 04, 2023, 08:47:24 AM
Attractive entry price: Investing in the Presale means acquiring tokens at $0.0028, with a fixed trading price of $0.014.  An opportunity for an initial profit of X5.

hocus pocus, magic spells and this is how the investor earns 5x just because the developer of the new meme coin (AKA Scam coin) promised him so. This is not a scam at all, you can trust me... XDXD

I warn everyone against buying these tokens. This is another thread about this token, and another one without specifying what specific utility this token has, and promises of 5x right from the begining is a big red flag. Nobody gives away money for free, especially not random people from the Internet who operate in the scamcoin industry.

pepe is one project that pumped that hard out of 100,000 that failed just after launch. And it was certainly not announced this way, it just started quietly and people found out about it after the market operator (market manipulator) had already made 100x pump. The risk/reward of investing in scamcoins is definitely not worth it.
146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mining with the use of Natural Gas on: November 04, 2023, 07:02:20 AM
I Think they should make an impact towards providing a suitable regulations that permit the soft flow of all cryptocurrencies activities rather than kicking against them when they emerged into office, what do we have to day, is this with the personal motive of achieving their own political interest or they really want to see bitcoin and cryptocurrency taken to the next level.

The definition of a politician I saw on Wikipedia some time ago - "a specialist in gaining and maintaining power". This is what politicians do and specialize in. they have no idea about anything other than social engineering and manipulation mechanisms. They specialize in how to speak to influence as many voters as possible. Unfortunately, this is what democracy inevitably strives for - populism. And this is exactly how we should look at all election promises. For carefully calculated statements intended to target a precisely calculated group of voters who are not yet decided.

147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE TOP 5 CRYPTO NARRATIVES on: November 03, 2023, 02:25:43 PM
The issue of legal corridors in this market has never really been clear, and over time we all want recognition from old traditional fields in this market.
Obviously, the historical context meant that many people didn't really think that such a combination would work, but as time goes on, we're seeing more and more leading companies joining the blockchain industry. Perhaps this is obvious when people understand more about it, and at present, perhaps the perception of this market as well as its scale have changed a lot in a positive direction, but we still have difficulties forced by law.

Currently, there has been talk of a bitcoin ETF for years. Something so prosaic and banal in its construction that it is hard to imagine that the SEC could ponder over it for years. BUSD was withdrawn because the SEC considered it a security even though it did not meet any of the Howey test criteria. BUSD is a stablecoin and not "an investment product that is purchased to make profits". we know it, the SEC pretends they don't. So don't be surprised that I am skeptical that in the next 5 years it will be possible to legislatively push through something as large and complicated as shares in a skyscraper in New York in the form of an etherum token, all thanks to some small project that has just released its token to obtain financing.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE TOP 5 CRYPTO NARRATIVES on: November 03, 2023, 06:53:27 AM
2. REAL WORLD ASSETS; For me, this is going to be one of the top driving narratives in the next bull run
#RWA are assets that exist in the physical world or off-chain but are tokenized and transferred on- chain to act as a source of yield in DeFi.
examples include, Real Estate, Bonds, etc.

I have been familiar with this topic for at least 6 years and I already know countless people who, excited by this technology, joined projects that were supposed to deliver it. Unfortunately, the ending was always the same. The project hit the legislative wall, the hype faded, investors left and friends were left with a bag of worthless shitcoins. I'm afraid that Wall Street won't give up here and won't let the crypto boys take too much of the pie

3. Another trending narrative is TELEGRAM BOTS
In 2023, there was also a rise in TELEGRAM crypto trading bots
They offer users convenience and efficiency when it comes to executing trades
this narratives is still making lots of waves.

Its much much easier just use exchange app or dex from trust wallet.
149  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat & Crypto - Effective Expert Advise on: November 02, 2023, 07:51:26 AM
Avoid short-term investments. 90% of traders lose within their first year. You don't want to be among them. Focus on what generates profits for you (your job) and specialize in that, and leave trading to gamblers (capital providers) and professionals (capital recipients). Instead, build a bulletproof investment portfolio that isn't all crypto. a portfolio consisting only of crypto is extremely fragile. Currently, US bonds and gold seem to be a good pillar on which to base most of the portfolio. ETFs like NOBL will also add antifragility to a portfolio. The rest can go to DCA in Bitcoin. Avoid getting into shitcoins and don't fall for pyramid schemes promising hundreds of percent apy.
150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you track bulk Bitcoin transactions being carried out by whales? on: November 02, 2023, 07:40:09 AM
Do you track bulk Bitcoin transactions being carried out by whales? Do you feel it has good impact on Bitcoin  prices and a regular trader can benefit from this data.

I'll join what the above people said. You can't make money on this, it has no real repeatable impact on the price. Usually such a whale has an agreement with a large buyer or plans its sale so as not to move the price too much. The only thing that may affect the price is a massive FUD attack from the largest mass media portals (like cointelegraph), which will spam about such a transaction.
151  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: November 01, 2023, 04:58:51 PM

Moim zdaniem przed nami zielone miesiące aż do newsa o ETFie.
152  Economy / Economics / Re: Biting more than i can chew. How can i do better? on: October 31, 2023, 06:26:33 AM
The first thing is to read a few books that will help you expand your horizons and show the shallowness of such a basic need as the need to have a new gadget. I recommend, for example, Harrari (who calls capitalism and consumerism new religions that thies their best to convince people that the source of happiness is spending). Secondly, books about stoicism. Moreover, it might be worth consulting a psychologist, because compulsive shopping is a disorder that can be treated.
153  Local / Polski / Re: jak zbudować początkowy kapitał bez KYC? on: October 30, 2023, 12:28:38 PM
Tak, wchodzi w życie, od stycznia 2025 wszystkie transakcje krypto między podmiotami obowiązanymi, czy to B2B czy B2C, będą objęte koniecznością prowadzenia procedur KYC/AML.

W jakich krajach to wchodzi?
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New Memecoin with utility (MemeStock Token) on: October 30, 2023, 08:43:53 AM
You talk 4 times about this new shitcoin having some "utility" but you never mention what it is.

MemeStock stands out by presenting a meme with real functionality for use in Crowdfunding and Lottery.

"Crowdfunding", i.e. a crowd of 'investors' tricked by a fraudster, will sponsor his new car, right?

"Lottery" i.e. "investors" thinking that they are investing in the project are actually gambling on a game similar to crash (devs will do a rugpull with all the capital in random time)
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to find a meme coin similar to bnb tiger? on: October 30, 2023, 08:38:05 AM
I'm curious about the coin with the most views currently, which is a similar meme to the BnB Tiger coin. Not Pepecoin or Dogecoin...

If you are looking for a project like BNB Tiger, i.e. a project with no utility and just a name, with a fraudulent smart contract full of red flags, which may end in a rugpull at any time, then don't waste your time looking. Buy the first meme coin you find out of 1000's that are created every day (and 999 goes to zero next day). You'll lose your wallet anyway. At least you'll save time on "research".
156  Economy / Speculation / Re: $4.55B worth of BTC & ETH options set to expire today. Correction most likely? on: October 30, 2023, 08:29:22 AM
and as usual, nothing happened. it is amazing that bitcoin options expire every month, every month there is FUD related to this (it is completely unknown why FUD and not FOMO, because options are traded in two directions) and every month nothing happens and yet next month again the same. Articles and threads like this one are popping up again.
157  Local / Polski / Re: jak zbudować początkowy kapitał bez KYC? on: October 28, 2023, 05:59:05 AM

158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTT Token on: October 28, 2023, 05:52:58 AM
the current marketcap is $400 million. Do you think that the token of a dead, insolvent exchange that cheated its users by secretly investing their funds in high-risk instruments should be valued at almost $0.5 billion? Of course death. It's strange that something like "slow death" is being considered at all. It should be an instantaneous drop to zero...

This is all correct, but another option should be considered, that FTX will be able to restart. And if the new team really succeeds, then you can be sure that the value of the exchange coin can greatly increase. So maybe now we have a good opportunity to buy some FTT.

Don't you think it would be better for them to start with a completely new exchange? Why drag along the baggage of such negative associations? They defrauded people and deprived them of their funds during the bear market bottom. If someone had $100,000 there and planned to buy BTC @ around $20k, today they would have $75,000 in profit alone, which FTX deprived them of. even if they give back what they stole, they will not give back the "potentially lost benefits". people have already had their funds blocked for a year. This is damage that cannot be swept under the rug. This stock exchange will not recover and 400 mln $ marketcap is way to much for such a swamp.
159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Startup says it can access $235M in locked bitcoin — but owner says ‘no thanks’ on: October 27, 2023, 06:31:42 AM
It’s a security thing. Would you want your iPhone to give unlimited tries where the thief will just keep trying every code? Obviously not. Hence why it’s has a self destruct option.

Only it makes sense in the case of a smartphone and compromising photos on it. Of course, it would be better for a thief not to have them, because he can use them for blackmail or publish them on the Internet. Another issue is the only copy of the private key. In this case, whether it is destroyed by the device or used by a thief, the effect is the same for you - loss of crypto.

A difficult password and a time limit of 1 attempt per day is a better solution. There is always hope that the thief will be caught and the device will be recovered.
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTT Token on: October 27, 2023, 06:03:29 AM
hi ,
my brother like most of Americans invested in FTT , what do you feel the future of FTT now ? Will it die a slow death ?

It's strange that something like "slow death" is being considered at all. It should be an instantaneous drop to zero.

The fact that ftt is dying slowly makes me see the slightest chance that someone is planning some huge scam and the price will rebound (someone is buing holding price), but I wouldn't bet even $1 of my money on it and I would advise your brother to sell it.

$400 million is the same as the capitalization of KCS, the kucoin exchange token. A functioning exchange that is quite trusted and battle-tested - was hacked for $300 million (one of the largest hacks in the history of crypto), and still managed to cope. Kucoin was working with the developers of all the stolen tokens, asking them to fork and freeze the hacker's wallet. Kucoin recovered some of the funds and had the rest insured. Not a single customer lost a dollar.

KCS marketcap = FTT marketcap HOW!?
