381  Other / Meta / Re: Request for the merit source for the Polish board on: July 20, 2023, 06:58:11 AM
So I'd like to nominate any of the most active (and well respected) top 3 posters:
Tytanowy Janusz

Thank you for the nomination but even more thank you for creating this thread and taking care of our home, Polish section.
Thanks also for merit rain, I'm sure it'll be enough for a while.

But it seems to me that an even more important issue has been touched upon in passing here, namely the lack of moderation. our current moderator has been doing a great job for years, but he's been gone for 4 months. I hope he's okay and will be back on the forum soon, but until then a temporary replacement would be in order and I think it's even more of a priority than the merit source.
382  Local / Polski / Re: Ogólne rozmowy na temat kampanii sygnatur on: July 20, 2023, 06:43:45 AM

383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I adjust Stop Loss in advance (not opened position)? on: July 19, 2023, 07:39:34 AM

OCO allows you to set both stop loss and take profit at the moment when the position is already open. It does not allow opening positions with built-in closing parameters. @jozefpinter I recommend spending 1 day on the basics of python, generate an API key on your exchange and enjoy any strategies you want. You can code everything.

Or, if you are using binance futures (i dont know if its possible on other exchanges, definetly not available on binance spot) you can use this option:

384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Presidential candidate announces plan to back the US dollar with Bitcoin on: July 19, 2023, 07:28:54 AM
It's just a marketing ploy. Firstly, he would have to be supported by Democrats, secondly, he would have to win, thirdly, in my opinion, the president does not have the power to change the foundations of the dollar without the support of others (FED, Department of the Treasury etc) , fourthly, the dollar did not move away from the gold standard in 1970 to introduce the bitcoin standard now. Once gained printing power, is not something elites will ever give away without fight.

on the other hand, this could be an advantage to the US dollar. having been backed up by Bitcoin will give it more stability

I don't think it will.
385  Local / Polski / Re: Ogólne rozmowy na temat kampanii sygnatur on: July 19, 2023, 07:10:57 AM
2 tyg to wystarczająco by zmienić frontend strony Smiley.

PS
@Pawel777 świetny watek o merit source, zachęcam wszystkich do kometowania:

386  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: July 18, 2023, 01:02:14 PM
This looks more like bitcoin may decrease more? That is what it seems to me if bitcoin can go below $29200.

What do you about this?

I think there's a broader context here. On July 14, the market was hit with positive news about ripple and the fact that sec was unable to prove something that looks like security is a security (XRP can meet all points of the HOWEY test - should be easy to prove it if you have the judge on your side and present some facts properly - ICO to gain funds to conduct business, the investor buys to earn profits from the functioning of the business. And if SEC failed in the case of ripple, which seemed easy, what about other cryptos, including the sued BUSD which is a f*king product that people use to invest in other stuff ... not a securitu that people buy to earn! So the traders went shopping. Or rather, retail investors rushed to buy, because the big fish probably knew about the decision much earlier. And since they knew before, now they are taking profits by pulling retail investors under the stoploss, which everyone probably has in the area of 29.5-29k from where there will probably be a false breakout and we will return to old trend which is up. All that to deceive the largest number of investors as Jesse Livermore once said - "The stock market is never obvious. It is designed to fool most of the people, most of the time"
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - The road to a SIX DIGIT price valuation on: July 18, 2023, 06:12:42 AM
The Bitcoin ETF Matbe is not a 1:1 match to Bitcoin itself, as its price may not track the underlying asset perfectly.

Bitcoin spot ETF, like any spot ETF, maintains the exact price as native asset, because the operator transfers each transaction directly to the native market (bitcoin exchange). In the sense that when you buy 1 bitcoin in the form of an ETF, the operator who provides this ETF, at the same time, buys bitcoin for you and store it for you. So if the ETF price were to be below the bitcoin spot price, the operator would have to pay extra to the business.

The only situation where a spot ETF transaction is not directly transferred to the Bitcoin market is when 2 ETF holders exchanged (one sold, the other bought) and it happened below the maximum spread provided by the operator.
because above the maximum spread allowed by the operator, you make transactions not with other users but with the operator.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This time for meme coin? on: July 17, 2023, 08:23:37 AM
You probably know that almost all new meme projects are coming out now. Do you think it is really risky? what effect do you think this could have for the bull market!

Just stop talking about meme coins and they will disappear. And we all need that. Money and attention invested in meme coins only loads scammers pockets. money and attention invested in new technologies serves the entire community. We want to invest in innovative projects, not meme coins. So stop giving them attention.

"The median savings balance — not including retirement funds — of Americans under 35 is just $3,240, while it's $6,400 for those ages 55-64."
https://www.marketwatch.com/picks/heres-exactly-how-much-americans-have-in-savings-at-every-age-and-yikes-heres-what-they-should-have-01659384531

And we're talking about America, the "first world", the world's largest economy... A man with such savings and a total lack of education in the field of managing the household budget (not even economics, but simple save as much possible and invest to build long-term prosperity instead of spending on usless stuff and living on credit, pursuing not your own interest but the interest of the sect called "consumerism")  is more wondering where to go on vacation with it, or whether to buy an iPhone with it than looking for alternatives to Fiats or new innovative financial instruments.

390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin expected volatility below 50: Sign for a bull run? on: July 16, 2023, 05:50:24 AM
what I saw in the first place is that the chart is flattening and subsequent spikes are getting smaller, which is natural with a maturing asset. In my opinion, levels around ~30 may be the norm in 5-10 years. It is a pity that the chart starts from 2019 and not, for example, in 2014, so that we can observe the trend I described in a longer perspective. So 50 in 2023 could be equivalent to 70 in 2019 if you compare the volatility we see versus the volatility the market is capable of generating.

Interesting conclusions could be observed if someone superimposed the graphs on themselves. This and bitcoin. I don't know how to do it myself.

A zajęłoby to dużo krócej, bo 1.5 roku do lutego 2025.

393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Contracts and Tokens on: July 15, 2023, 11:07:59 AM
What I am aiming to do with my ideas is to create smart contracts centered around production, providing dividend income to wallet holders. I understand your concerns regarding the nature of production. Essentially, we are sharing our thoughts with a couple thousand lines of code, and isn't that a product in itself?

In order to provide dividend income to wallet holders you have to generate profit. Produce stuff that someone wants to use. Not buy just to sell later on in hope of profit. But buy for use.

Giving dividends for solving unnecessary tasks from newly generated tokens from the air and then, to avoid inflation, tax movements on the token to burn them is just a redistribution of funds from one investor to another not a dividend.

Moving tokens from place to place does not magically produce wealth.

It seems there may be a misunderstanding about the nature of the project. The game is not solely focused on making profits or generating a high market capitalization. It revolves around the interaction of assets functioning on smart contracts. By engaging with a smart contract, you become part of the game. The rest is the storyline and gameplay.

For example, when you sign the mining smart contract for the token, you earn 1 RUFE per second. In addition to that, there are various smart contracts within the game that offer tasks, production, exploration, and both player versus environment (PvE) and player versus player (PvP) interactions. All of these actions and transactions take place on the blockchain, adhering to predefined conditions and rules. However, who would want to be a token miner and build a grand station, right? :/

So what's the use case that will build a project value in a long run?
394  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: July 14, 2023, 12:15:33 PM

395  Local / Polski / XRP wygrywa z SEC on: July 14, 2023, 06:54:08 AM

"According to documents filed on July 13, Judge Torres has granted summary judgment in favor of Ripple Labs, ruling that the XRP token is not a security, but only in regards to programmatic sales on digital asset exchanges.

However, the SEC also managed to notch a victory of its own, as the federal judge has ruled that XRP is a security when sold to institutional investors, as it met the conditions set in the Howey Test. "

https://cointelegraph.com/news/ripple-wins-case-against-sec-as-judge-rules-xrp-is-not-a-security?utm_source=Telegram&utm_medium=social

396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Contracts and Tokens on: July 14, 2023, 05:41:24 AM
Thank you for your criticism.

In general, we can label the market as a Ponzi scheme, as you put it. Everyone is making or losing money from each other's pockets.

When I buy shares of an example MMM company, behind the shares is a company that has 60,000 different products that it sells all over the world. People buy these products because they need them, not in the hope that they will sell when price of self-adhesive wall hooks pump. Of the profits the company generates, it pays me a 6% dividend. this is investing and you won't tell me it's ponzi schame.

If there were currently $100 million inside, would you still call it a Ponzi scheme?

Yes, money is important.

Of cours i would. LUNA had $30B marketcap and UST had another $19B before it collapsed. Bernie Madoff went to jail in 2008 for 150 year because of a $20B ponzi.

I mentioned the idea of a science fiction-themed role-playing game as a use case for the token.

If there were currently $100 million inside, would you still call it a Ponzi scheme?

do you think you can make a "science fiction-themed role-playing game" with enough popularity to justify a capitalization of $100 million? So, for example, 500,000 copies sold at $20 in 1 year, which gives a P/E of 10, not including production costs (1 mln copies including marketing, distribution costs etc.)? Because thats the only use case you plan to have.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Contracts and Tokens on: July 13, 2023, 11:04:20 AM
You're right. The key here is to spread it out over time and make people see it as an additional job. Smart contracts will gain value for them through the orders they place. I am trying to build a system where they can handle all their transactions and continue with their lives by dedicating a maximum of 10 minutes per day. I leave its popularity to time.

but you try to achieve this through various mechanisms that redistribute the money invested in the project to the investors of the project. You don't magically create capital that way, you know that? So in order for some percentage of your investors to see this as an extra payoff for 10 minutes of work a day, the other part of your investors will have to be willing to pay someone (random guy from internet) an extra paycheck for 10 minutes of work, and I assure you, there are no such people among people with money. Hence the project will not work and you can only qualify it as ponzi shame as there is no real use case that could build value in long run.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Voodoo Token: The New Meme Coin on Pulsechain! on: July 13, 2023, 05:59:39 AM
Welcome to Voodoo's Ecosystem!  Grin

Voodoo Token is a new coin on the Pulsechain blockchain that offers exciting opportunities for users. By staking Voodoo tokens, individuals can earn rewards and have the choice between two options: the Magic Reward Token or the Poison Reward Token. The Magic Reward Token adds a touch of enchantment to the staking experience. With each token transfer, a small portion (2%) of the Magic Reward Tokens disappears, making them more valuable over time. On the other hand, the Poison Reward Token applies a small fee (1%) to transactions, which is shared among all token holders. By staking either of these tokens, users can enjoy additional rewards and benefits. With Voodoo Token, you have the power to stake and decide whether to receive the magical benefits of the Magic Reward Token or the extra rewards provided by the Poison Reward Token. Explore the possibilities and make your choice to unlock the full potential of Voodoo Token on Pulsechain.

at the end of the day, the value of the project depends only on what capital goes in minus the capital that comes out, not on the mechanisms you describe. It's like making a cake. The weight of the dough depends on the amount of ingredients put in, not on which way you mixed them. And since the project, apart from mixing tokens (take 1% from this and put 2% of that etc.), has no utility, it does not solve any problem, it is nothing but ponzi shame.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart Contracts and Tokens on: July 13, 2023, 05:50:17 AM
Find Reasons to Burn the Tokens!

Dude. its not how it works. A good example of how a token should be released is uniswap or 1inch. They both first built a usability that became a market leader and then monetized it by creating a token and giving it away to those who used it before it became widely used.

Burning tokens should come from the profits that the entity generates from its utility, which people want to use because they need it. And not an artificial creation as an additional fee when investing/selling, or as an element of a junk game made on a whim, which everyone will get bored of in 1 day. currently, large professional studios have a problem to attract players for longer, let alone someone who invents a game as an addition to the token.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $20,000 to invest in any Altcoins of your choice? on: July 13, 2023, 05:38:37 AM
this is not a good time for altcoins. If this is the beginning of a longer bull market, bitcoin gives better returns at the beginning, if the market were to turn around - bitcoin will dump less than alts. So now I recommend BTC and look for alts only when BTC breaks the previous ATH. The exception may be BNB, which is sharply dumped by the fud that has intensified around it in recent months, but it is a high-risk investment, because not only the SEC but also the governments of some countries are fighting against binance.
