1141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS is surging due to Antelope on: August 25, 2022, 06:35:46 AM

the mandel fork for Antelope protocol for EOS will happen this Sept. 21 and this is backed by EOS Network, Telos, WAX and UX Network coalition to develop the Antelope protocol which is community based for the Web3 Framework unlike before which is only developed by blockone.

this rebranding is waking up to token surge. i'm shilling of course after all there is thread for this one yet. not really sure if this could just be a brief rally or not. but i'm hoping this will bring more adoption to these altcoins. the development could probably put the project on the top 20 again on CMC.

for anyone interested here is an introduction to Antelope https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3PNP2O4TB4

Sad to say but EOS is dead. Forget about it. Its one of few tokens that are traded now way below 2018 bear market bottom. Yea previous cycle. BNB is now at 60x from 2018 bottom.

What BNB did that justify 60x:

1- bought CMC
2- build most popular futures platform (5x more volume than second place - bybit)
3- remains the biggest CEX (more volume than all others from top 10 all together)
4- buld the biggest traffic smart contract platform (BSC) - 2 times more transaction per day than on ETH
...
9 - binance card
10 - invested 200M in Forbes.

Everything in only 4 years. What eos did in the same time?
1-No one use it
2-everyone forgets about it
3-is now doing a Antelope upgrade that also no one will care about just after update.
1142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is GMX Crypto? on: August 25, 2022, 06:14:29 AM
I think you should move your topic here  - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 As its more like a project advertisement rather that discussion thread.

Where will your dex take liquidity from? If those are not $XX Bilion pools its crazy to go with 2x not even talking about x30.

Why you need 2 tokens to run 1 dex? Uniswap needed 0 to start up one of the best defi project. Launch token to monetize it after it become the biggest DEFI. You need 2 tokens to start?
1143  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We will have a trading campaign on probit global exchange! on: August 24, 2022, 07:48:42 AM
You can't just say that a trader will do this on other exchangers such as binance because they don't have a similar campaign like this but this campaign might only exist at the moment on probit global. The fees on this exchange can be a little higher but all the expenses will be recovered soon once you successfully win their campaign.

This only proves that you are not a daytrader/scalper. Fees, spreads, latency, liquidity is crucial for them. Pay 0.2% fee + 0.3-1% slippage for in and the same for out and your trade profit is gone. Many BTC trading pairs are free from fees on binance. Calculate exit scam risk while trading on unreputable exchange and this campaign is really not worth the try. No matter how much they pay.

will be recovered soon once you successfully win their campaign.

Few will win, all will pay.
1144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on Ethereum Classic (ETC) with the upcoming ETH merge? on: August 21, 2022, 08:57:22 AM
It seems like a low price and low development. But with the merger, the ETH miners are going to move to ETC. This will give it more hashpower and protect it from double spend 51% attacks that have happened in the past. It's an interesting token for me and could be a fertile playground for the next bull market or a dumpster fire like BCH. I am curious what others think of Ethereum Classic. I don't hear it talked about much, anymore.

Its dead. After a hack network split to ETC and ETH. Community chose ETH. Whole development moved forward there. We have thousands of projects build on ETH. Bilions in TVL on liquidity platforms. Great solutions like AMM. DEFI, NFT. ETC did nothing last years when whole market moved forward. ETC is not an alternative for ETH. BNB, SOL, AVAX, DOT are. ETC is dead.

About ETH miners (GPU miners). They will move to mine other coins but 99% will have to quit. ETH is $200B network. ETC is $4B. So if 2% of ETH miners will move to ETC mining difficulty will double making it unprofitable to mine. And price will not fallow. Its the opposite. Difficulty chase price not price pump because of difficulty increase.
1145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: We will have a trading campaign on probit global exchange! on: August 21, 2022, 08:43:41 AM
I advice against taking part in this campaing. If you can "turn a small amount of money into a vast sum over a short period using high volatility market conditions" it will be much better for you to do it on binance (reputable exchange with low fees, low spreads, insane liquidity) rather than on probit with fake volume, fake orders in orderbook, fake liquidity.
1146  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: August 21, 2022, 08:00:09 AM
1147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi Nakamoto Reveal his identity ............ ? on: August 20, 2022, 05:50:55 PM
Satoshi is the smartest person if he is and individual or an acronym.

No matter who he is. He is not able to change network. They may try to push him but network will decide about future direction.

Satoshi is the smartest person if he is and individual or an acronym.

He was in 2009. No doubt about that. Now its 2022. He might as well be dead or go crazy in 2015 and now he is in a psychiatric hospital thinking he is a horse.
1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi Nakamoto Reveal his identity ............ ? on: August 20, 2022, 05:30:10 PM
This is nonsense propaganda by few Bitcoin community leaders.

In fact its not a propaganda spread "by few Bitcoin community leaders." Its a propaganda spread by bitcoin noobs who think that satoshi is a big thing now in 2022 for bitcoin while its not. That it is important to find him, that his appearance will change bitcoin. Its not. Bitcoin is much more. Its decentralized network that is not dependent on anyone even its creator.

Those who attacking Satoshi Naksmoto and disturbing him must leave him alone. He has done nothing wrong against anyone.

Go and tell russia to stop Ukraine invasion because they "done nothing wrong against anyone".
1149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether new audit report & HUSD losing its peg on: August 20, 2022, 06:48:20 AM
also reporting that Tether’s cash and bank deposit holdings rose by 32% in the period.

We know that tether is not backed by USD. In cash tether have only a few percent of its portfolio, the rest of the funds are hold mainly in corporate bonds, short-term debt, government bonds and other mainly debt-related securities:

Those are safe stuff. But not so much if you need to dump everything in one day because of attack. Especially now, when everything is down. TLT (ISHARES 20+ YEAR TREASURY BOND ETF) is down 36% from its ATH. Its just short term papaer loses that will sooner or later recover because its just bonds that will pay back invested money + interest but not if you are forced to sell on the lows.

also reporting that Tether’s cash and bank deposit holdings rose by 32% in the period.

As far as I know they only had like 5% in cash. So its now 5%*1,32 = 6.6%?

and HUSD losing its peg and going as low as $0.85 cents, What do you think the future is looking like for stablecoins?
https://twitter.com/thetokenist/status/1560285238537887749

Its back to $0.9943. Whole event was triggered by news: "This follows news that crypto personalities Sam Bankman-Fried and Justin Sun were in talks to purchase large stakes in Huobi Global.

Huobi Global does not explicitly issue HUSD but Huobi Capital invested in HUSD issuer Stable Universal in 2019."
https://coinmarketcap.com/community/articles/34234

I think its just FUD.
1150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 20, 2022, 06:33:00 AM
otherwise, when I withdraw with exchanges that have a high fee, I change coins to one with a low fee like TRX and move them to FTX (for example) where are zero fees on Bitcoin withdrawals. Just an option for small amounts.

Its not the case with qtrade. Cheap coins to withdrawal has very low liquidity there and high spreads. 3% for doge, 10% for nano and up to 20% for litecoin. It may work for 10$ but not for >100$.

what should I do with this node?
it is persistently offline, now I tried to export the private key, but it is frozen here. Any suggestion on how to recover this node? I had a lot of staked coins there, I guess I won't have to delete this from my computer.

Go to C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Idena\node\datadir\keystore\nodekey

There is your unencrypted private key stored. Copy it and store it in a save way. Install node on new device and replace file with your private key. this key needs to be placed ...\AppData\Roaming\Idena\node\datadir\keystore\nodekey here. It will not work when you put it in app in "import private key" because thats the place where you can put your encrypted private key. You have unencrypted one.
1151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are soccer tokens pumping on: August 19, 2022, 04:42:23 PM
Santos, useless shitcoin, pomped by whale manipulation by XXX% and market did what it always does. Bought the rest of football shitcoins hoping they will pump too as hard as santot did. Just like when doge pumped sooner or later all meme coins pumped. We've seen it played out many times. Buy a little bit of each shitcoins of the same type. Pump one of them thanks to low liquidity and take profit on all of them. I would not touch it.
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Outperforms Bitcoin Trading Operations on: August 19, 2022, 04:06:12 PM
Its pretty impressive but its worth to point out that its mostly a pre-merge hype. After its done, after "buy rumours sell facts event" and spectacular dump, bitcoin will come back on top once again.
1153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 19, 2022, 03:59:11 PM
Pancakeswap seems to me like a more complicated solution for small amounts which I deal with when we talk about Idena. Probably because I'm not a big fan of Defi and somethingxyzswap platforms.
Qtrade seems to be the only option for me and my Idena.
Qtrade withdrawa fee equals 0.0005BTC = 10$ and IDNA/BTC trading fee - 1.5%. So if you are really dealing with small numbers qtrade fees will be a big thing. While pancakeswap transaction will cost you around 1 IDNA for bridge and ~1$ for transaction. And you can trade it directly to stable coins or any other not only to BTC. Also there is like 10x better liquidity than on qtrade and hotbit all together.

It may seam to more complicated but its worth the effort.
1154  Local / Polski / Re: Rosja - Ukraina on: August 16, 2022, 11:17:11 AM

1155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 16, 2022, 10:08:19 AM
But what is its utility in the real world

Its a network with unique consensus - proof of person. Thanks to that it have different characteristics and possibilities than POW and POS which has its pros and cons.

Pros:
1- high decentralization
2- possibility of sharding (scalability without losing decentralization)
3- not money driven voting (oracles)
4- Sybil resistance, non KYC virtual identity (solution for bots on forums, twitter, metaverse)
5- after IIP-5 - far more decentralized staking than on any other staking platform.

Cons:

1- its at experimental stage (but so far network survived almost 3 years)
2- so far its AI resistant but future is unknown
1156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 16, 2022, 06:43:57 AM
as Hotbit has been hacked/closed again, i.e. stopped use, trading, withdrawal, etc. what to use now for Idena trading?
is trading on Bitmart normal, without unexpected things?

Hotbit was one of the worst place to trade idna. Only probit is worse. Qtrade is much better, they never did unexpected mainternance, never lost my deposit/withdrawal, dont fake trades. bitmart force KYC (I advise against doing KYC on small, bad exchanges). But the very best place is pancakeswap. The safest place and the biggest liquidity.

yes indeed it depends on how many coins are at stake in the hope of attracting investors to follow this and increase the price of IDENA, unfortunately it has not really been seen until now when the staking reward event was held there was no change in the price of IDENA, so before and after IIP- 5 will not have any effect on the price of IDENA if IDENA is not widely introduced

I agree here. This is one of the most important update that change whole project tokenomics. Its should be widely announced.

środki w ponad 3000 punktów w polsce, można jednorazowo wymienić do 1000 EUR.

Weryfikacja numerem telofonu to koniec anonimowości. Dla wielu może być nie do zaakceptowania. Flyingatom robi to przez maila, Shitcoins.club generuje kod kreskowy do każdej transakcji i on wystarczy do odbioru środków i to jest w sumie najwygodniejsza opcja.

some pool owners may split their pools into family pools or medium pools or choose a solo mining path,

It will change nothing. The picture you posted shows network statistics (how many farms of type x we have and how much all of them earn). It does not say that by making farm smaller you will earn more. just like average penis size in Ecuador is 17,6 cm. It does not mean that your penis will get bigger after you move there from your country (f.e Taiwan with average 12.6 cm). After IIP-5 earnings will depend on amount of staked coins. Number of nodes in farm does not matter. Their decision will be:

1- accept 30-50% lower returns
2- load each node in farm with 1000 IDNA (dont know exact number) risking your money when node fail validation
3- kill farm, start small farm with few nodes (that you are 100% sure they are decent in passing validation) and load them with 30 000 IDNA each possibly getting even higher returns
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will get more demand on: August 14, 2022, 07:42:35 AM
The latest rumour going around about the Ethereum merge is a dump after, you are wrong if you are one of them, Ethereum going proof of stake and fixing the high gas fee have automatically turn this project into a GOLD, every whales will want to stake and enjoy the rewards, even if a dump happens after the so called fork it won't last.

So it will become new BNB, ADA, DOT, SOL, AVAX, TRX, ATOM and dozen more? Smart contract platform based on POS consensus. Man its not like they are about to create something new. That they solve problem that was never solved before. They just solve a problem that only they had. There are many cheap and fast SC platforms.

What was the advantage of eth over dozens of other projects was high decentralization thanks to POW at the expense of higher transaction costs. Now it will be just like other POS coins. Nevertheless, it may increase project value in long term (years) but its not guaranteed. Whats much more probable is that the "buy rumours sell the facts" will come true again and we will see massive dump (for months). Just like ADA released its product (after 5 years of pumping based on promises) in SEP 2021 (?) and was one of the biggest loosers of this bear market.
