301  Other / Archival / Re: Question About Bounty and KYC??? on: October 07, 2018, 06:50:01 PM
I wouldn't take part in ICOs requiring KYC either. Before even joining a new ICO, this is the first question that I try to find answer to. If the bounty manager says the ICO requires KYC, I won't participate no matter the reward. You never know with 100 percent certainty who the people behind the ICO are. Imagine your personal data being sold on the black market. Maybe 99 percent of ICOs won't do that, but what if you are not lucky and give your info to the one percent. It can get you in many troubles.
302  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How to evaluate a potential ICO project? on: October 07, 2018, 12:38:35 PM
I think checking domain, traffic and community is not enough. It is necessary, but not enough. There have been some ICOs that turned out to be exit scams with perfectly fine domains, community, and traffic to the website. I must say that the primary factors to consider are the project fundamentals. If the project is sound then the ICO will have a good whitepaper and a nearly working solution to some problem. This part is most difficult to check, because you have to be expert to be able to tell. This is due to the fact that, at first sight, a great whitepaper can look almost the same as a copy...paste... and modified whitepaper.
303  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stellarx the future of crypto exchange? on: October 01, 2018, 08:56:28 PM
I plan to check how it goes with trading on StellarX once the platform starts with their full operation. If you are fully in charge with your coins on your own wallet, it should work like a decentralized exchange, but they say it isn't a DEX. So i don't know. No fees is an interesting option. I would like to see this in practice to check if there are any downsides or other unforseen things.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wallets, wallets, wallets on: October 01, 2018, 08:33:17 PM
I haven't really used an ADA wallet so far (mostly trading ADA on the exchange in the past) but this looks to me like a good lightweight solution. The fact that it is a lightweight client means that it has to contact some servers to pull back blockchain information, right? If I ever decide to store some coins locally I'm gonna give it a try. Another question is does it work like MetaMask, which is also a chrome extension?
305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it worth mining litecoin with current market conditions? on: October 01, 2018, 08:23:40 PM
From your title it looks like you are asking is it worth mining litecoin. Then in the OP you ask is it worth investing in litecoin. Which one is it? I think it is certainly worth investing in litecoin especially considering the current situation with some institutional investments on the horizon. With regards to mining, it all depends on the electricity costs in your country and the initial costs to purchase ASIC equipment for LTC mining. You have to make the math on your own.
306  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attitudes towards Becoming a Successful Bounty Hunter on: October 01, 2018, 06:50:50 PM
I will add another rule:

8. Be prepared not to be paid.
It happens all the time. It has happened to me in the past. How to deal with this is to know that life goes on, and there is nothing you can do to fix this. You are in the mercy of the people running the ICO. You learn to be more careful in selecting your next bounty campaign and you move on.
307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum Surge By 700% from Current Value by Next Year? on: October 01, 2018, 06:44:26 PM
No way man. For that to happen Ethereum would have to fix a lot of problems, the most important of which is the fixed total number of coins, or something like introducing a controlled inflation rate. As the things stand now, the max cap of Ethers is not fixed, and there is no way we are gonna see 7x price growth.
308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How whale traders catch those small fishes in the market on: October 01, 2018, 12:00:06 PM
I do trades in kucoin using their mobile app because I see it convenient if I only do swing trades.
Maybe if you move your strategy from swing trading to long time frames, you can go pass these walls, or you won't notice them any more. Also, learn how to use technical analysis. Then you will have more confidence in your trades and you won't need to look at the order book so often. It is often very stressful having to look at the price movement in the order book all the time.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP whale alert on: October 01, 2018, 08:08:16 AM
Help me understand what this whale alert does. It gives a warning whenever someone moves more than $1M worth of XRP from any wallet to any other wallet, right? What could a move of this kind possibly forecast? That someone is ready to dump the coins, or what.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Alts Bull run will start any moments do you agree?? on: September 30, 2018, 11:45:13 AM
altcoin rally started i think, today xrp and stellar ara going to mooooooonnnnnnnnnnn
May I ask what do you base your predictions on? I know that xrp was recently announced some banking solutions and stellar also had some announcements about a partnership with IBM. Coinbase also said they are considering ADA, BAT, XLM, and Zcash to be the new coins listed on the exchange. Are these the reasons?

xrp will hit 14k and steller will hit to 7500 in a few days, mark my words,
Do you want to say that stellar is going to hit 7500 satoshi? That is almost double the current value.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Consider these before investing in cryptocurrency on: September 30, 2018, 11:19:23 AM
Total Supply and Circulating supply of the coins

This is something everybody should check before long term investments. My rule is, the closer the circulating supply is to the total supply the more valuable to coin can be down the road. If the coin has a low circulating supply I try to stay away from it because it is hard to tell what's going to happen in the future.
312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Hunter's Problem on: September 29, 2018, 02:29:04 PM
It is also important to follow any announcements about the ICO you can find on this forum. For example you can check periodically the  Scam accusation board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 Also, closely follow the Bounty thread of the ICO you are promoting. If a member of this forum finds that the ICO you are participating in is a scam project, he will announce the find on the Bounty tread. React promptly and remove the signature. You NEVER want to promote or be a part of a fraudulent ICO, especially after being warned by a higher ranked member, or else you may get red trust.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Working Products in Blockchain (Updated — October 2018) on: September 29, 2018, 02:06:16 PM
I didn't know the cryptos mentioned in the article, apart from Steem and Ether, were backed by working projects. So thanks for the info. For example I had no clue basic attention project BAT was actually related to a browser. I only knew it was being traded on Binance. They say about 3M people use this browser on their desktops and smartphones. I might install it just to try and see how good it is.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY]⚕️Trade Pharma Network🤖The New Pharma-Centric Marketplace💊👨‍[Resumed] on: September 28, 2018, 10:59:05 AM
I just applied to take part in the signature campaign and I hope to be accepted.

However, I have a quick question,

Is there any KYC requirement that the new participants should know about?
315  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] 🔥IOU Signature Campaign | Member - Hero | 0.0007 BTC /Post 🔥 on: September 20, 2018, 04:52:40 PM
Hi guys, unfortunately, the devs have decided to end this campaign and move it into a token based campaign. Apologies if anyone didn't get paid for the 4-6 hour period.

Thanks Zapo for the perfectly run campaign. I wish the entire IOU team good luck in the future.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the requirements of their token based campaign and possibly reapplying.

316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC cycle to be repeated? on: September 19, 2018, 03:56:23 PM
Yes, we should count on recovery. There are crypto cycles where each cycle has crypto springs and crypto winters. Bitcoin price is moving in cycles. On average each cycle is bringing increasing BTC prices. I think now is the right time to invest because of a simple logic. When nobody is investing and everybody is scared, when the prospects are not so bright, that is the right time to invest. Just be careful where you put your money because not all alts are gonna recover from these prices and not alts are gonna survive.
317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitmex Destroying Crypto`s Quality on: September 18, 2018, 03:19:20 PM
"Should Bitmex be banned?" It is the same as if you ask "Should gambling be banned?" Not legally, it shouldn't be banned. But it makes so many people unhappy that it probably should.
The quality of the crypto is the same with or without it, but people would do much better if they stay away from these quick money making schemes.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Different speculations concerning bitcoin price in next few years on: September 16, 2018, 08:50:17 PM
I think we have a real chance of bitcoin hitting $50,000 in the next couple of years. It is only a matter of how quickly this will happen. It can happen pretty soon, or it may take years. But it will happen for sure because bitcoin has proven itself as a store of value, it has never been hacked, it is very secure, everything works as it is supposed to. I am not sure about ethereum and that's why I am not so bullish about ethereum. It has been hacked in the past, it has problems with development, it has unlimited supply. Etherum has worked well so far because of the countless ICO offerings that run as ERC20 tokens. But what if the ICOs stop working so well in the future, ethereum will have problems because it is not as good as a store of value as bitcoin.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is HODLing "Safe" To Do While The Market Continues To Get Battered? on: September 16, 2018, 08:39:53 PM
The only thing I'm holding right now are crypto's and precious metals.
With the exception of ETH, I'd say your choice of crypto is pretty rational. I don't know how ETH will turn out to be. It could have a positive development if the devs manage to fix their block chain, or if they don't the future of ETH may not be so bright. NO objections about your choice of precious metals as well.
320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Signature Bounties for Newbies on: September 16, 2018, 05:54:25 PM
Please can someone help provide links to signature bounties for NEWBIES
I can help you with this. Go to this website, http://bounty.slavyansk.biz/signatures.php On the far right side of the table of new bounties you will see a column with title Min. Rank. Most entries have Jr. Member  but there is a few with Newbie requirement. That is. You can participate in those bounties.
