1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading reverse pair on: June 01, 2019, 05:00:20 PM
I would like to go short on the same pair but margin trading has high fees. So trading reverse should be less expensive
It depends on the exchange. But for example, on Bitmex, the fees don't depend on your margin. Just on the contracts you buy or sell. And you can short without a problem, no need for reverse pairs.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to withdraw ETH using public address on: June 01, 2019, 11:52:33 AM
I lost my seed words but I have my public address,
Do you have your private key or keystore file? These are the only options you have if you have lost your seed words! If by any chance you still have your private key or keystore file, you can access your funds. If not, those coins are lost forever, not only for you, but for any other person as well.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anticipating a spike on: June 01, 2019, 11:22:47 AM
I think it is going to go up. But not that high above the current price. Of course I could be wrong but I think those targets are not going to be reached so soon. At the moment, the sentiment is 60:40 in favor of going up, so yeah, I'm optimistic. However, you are never sure what the market makers are gonna do. They may drive the price down if they think that are going to make more money. So I"m cautiously bullish, as you never know for sure.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LTC halving....then btc halving but....... on: June 01, 2019, 04:32:09 AM
AFAIK, ethereum was also supposed to reduce the block reward from 5 ETH  to 3 ETH don't know if they have already done that or not.
As of the beginning of this year, the block reward of Ethereum was reduced by 33 percent. Now miners receive 2 ETH instead of 3 ETH which was the reward before. The block reward reduction in this case was introduced via a hard fork called Constantinople. Unlike BTC and LTC, ETH doesn't have a well defined havling schedule. In theory ETH could have unlimited supply, and I think the dev team is working to change this.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is margin trading worth checking out? on: May 31, 2019, 03:41:30 PM
and they said that it does not have the open orders feature like most crypto exchanges have.
What do you mean by "open orders" feature. If you mean that you can buy and hold indefinitelly, you are right. With margin trading, you buy contracts that either expire after some time, or you have to pay founding fees.

Just like the crypto exchanges, we also invest and trade an amount that we could afford losing.
The only differenence is that you can trade with more money than what you actually have. All the other aspects are more or less the same. But you don't have to borrow. Nobody is forcing you to do so.

If you are used to trading on binance, most marging trading platforms allow you to go Short in additon to what you would usualy do on Binance, which is go long. This is a huge benefit over most of the "normal" exchanges.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ratings. on: May 30, 2019, 01:35:57 PM
I would not say they are reliable 5% of the time. 95% would be impossible. Knowing that you can pay ICObench for your project to get a good rating on their website tells you everything you want to know. How can you trust their rating if it can be rigged like that? So, no, you can't trust their rating at all. Fine projects can have smaller ratings and fake projects large ratings. Do your own research to increase the probability of choosing a good project to invest in.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better ICO, STO Or IEO ? on: May 30, 2019, 12:02:04 PM
It doesn't matter. Neither is better than the others. You have to be capable to investigate the project itself, not the way they gather money or investors. So I think you have to concentrate on the team, whitepaper, development prospects, social impact and other factors. Whether it is a IEO, STO or ICO, is less important. I think you can get scammed with either of these forms of crowdfunding if the project is scummy.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can you actually mine on GT 1030? on: May 29, 2019, 03:08:26 PM
Previously participated in @SETI project. Now I have a temporary and not the most successful configuration of Xeon X5570 and 550ti; they can only perform simple work. And BOINC is quite interesting, you feel part of something big and important. By the way now there are even some awards for it. Read about Gridcoin https://gridcoin.us/.
Thanks for the useful link and for answering my question. I didn't know there is a reward in form of a gridcoin. That's even better, you get rewarded for helping the scientific community. I like the concept and I will definitely look into it more and who knows maybe I will join! Some of the projects they are currently working on are listed on the website. Thanks again.
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I start scalping with a 500$? on: May 29, 2019, 01:42:58 PM
I'm already trading now on binance but not scalping way.
my question is this amount can be doing well with scalping ?

What do you mean by scalping? Usually scalping means trading the 15 minute or 5 minute time frame chart. It can be any trading pair. Since you are on binance, you can trade BTC/USDT or a similar pair. But you have to know technical analysis, to tell you when to enter and when to exit. And you do that several times a day. On binance you cannot short, so you are very limited to taking only long positions. You can probably switch to Bitmex where you can go long and short.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the benefits of using Cryptocurrency as a payment method? on: May 29, 2019, 01:24:05 PM
How can I help spreading the use of cryptos locally? No one here accepts them!

You can talk to you friends and explain them how useful crypto is. I know that it won't count for much globally, but if you win over just one friend, he or she will spread the word further. That is the way these things work. People are ignorant and may even be afraid of new technologies, but once they learn the benefits, they will accept crypto for sure.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the benefits of using Cryptocurrency as a payment method? on: May 29, 2019, 11:36:45 AM
One obvious benefit is you don't have to rely on banks to send money internationally. Just decide who you want the money to be sent, and that's it. No credit card, no wire transfers, now waiting for the bank to do its job, no nothing. And well defined fees, not overly expensive, and the fee doesn't depend on the amount of money you are sending. You do all that easily from the comfort of your home. And there is privacy if you like, semi-privacy like with bitcoin or enhanced privacy like with monero.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How powerful is bigpumpsignal's? (BPS) on: May 28, 2019, 08:00:33 PM
If you are talking about manipulating small market cap coins, I believe the people behind the pump buy the coins they are going to pump in advance. This is only a small group of people who buy very cheap. Now, they have to have a huge following to whom they announce the pump. Next the pump starts, and the followers are starting to buy more and more. The price goes up quickly. As soon as the price has reached the desired level, the initiators dump their coins for huge profit. Most of the followers are left with small profit or nothing at all.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can you actually mine on GT 1030? on: May 28, 2019, 07:33:28 PM
Forget about it. As already said, technically you can use your card to mine, but you are not going to make any profit. In fact, you will pay for electricity more than you will make mining. That said, you can mine for fun. What I mean by that, you can learn how to mine and then when you feel confident, you can buy a better card and start to mine for real. Although, to be clear, even with better cards, the profit will be relatively small.
You can also use such a weak graphics card (and processor) in distributed computing on the example of BOINC. So it will serve at least some useful scientific work.
Thanks for pointing that possibility out. I didn't know about BOINC, never heard before. By quickly looking at the website it is a nice oportunity to do something useful for the greater good. A question: can we know specifically what scientific project we are supporting? There are various science projects, it would be good to know where we are investing our hashpower.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining [URX] Uranium-X - Windows miner - How to on: May 28, 2019, 03:41:30 PM
Thanks for this guide, it's good to know there are new coins specially designed to be mined by CPUs. Probably like many other people, what I would like to know first and foremost is what kind of money you should expect from mining Uranium-X? I have a modern i-7 6-core CPU. Do you have a rough estimate?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: >>> ATTENTION: i'm lost my 3.2 bitcoins <<< New on: May 28, 2019, 02:48:18 PM
First of all I'm sorry you lost such a large sum of money. There is not much you can do now. I tried to find the website of the exchange you mention, there is no notice of it. On reddit, this link: https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/agy8qn/the_cryptoestocom_scam/ there are reports about this fake exchange and their scumming people with malware infected downloads. Your experience is another reminder why we should never trust even the closest friends when it comes to investments and finances.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Recommend BTC/Altcoin trading website, with Break Even calculation on: May 25, 2019, 05:22:33 PM
No there isn't to the best of my knowledge. How difficult could it be to calculate your break even price anyways? Sure, it's a bit of math, and sure you have to take into account all the various fees (takers, makers, whatever) but it shouldn't be too complicated. If you are serious about trading you have to learn to do the math every time you trade.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where BTC go on: May 25, 2019, 05:04:07 AM
I have put the chart you linked in the OP below so we don't have to go elsewhere

I have a question: What time frame is on this chart? The support-resistance levels are drawn reasonably well and we can identify the double top feature, but I don't think the trend lines really work. The thrend lines are always drawn somewhat arbitrarily and can't predict anything.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Zcash hard fork kill the Bitmain Z series miners? on: May 25, 2019, 04:40:01 AM
According to this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/zec/comments/blvhnn/any_new_information_on_the_zcash_algorithm_fork/ there are no Zcash forks or recent changes in algorythim to make ZEC asics resistant:
Quote
No, ASIC resistance is not on the ECC roadmap for the next upgrade Blossom this October.

There were some proposals in that directon, but they currently are not actively working on forking.

TL:DR Not going to happen for a couple years if at all.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fantom FTN soon listed on Binance on: May 24, 2019, 06:15:48 PM
"Buy on the rumors and sell on the news."
That was on my mind too. If the rumors come true, it may be a nice profit. I have seen a lot of coins get pumped immediately after being listed on Binance. After some time these coins may lose value, but the initial pump offers good profit for all that buy early. There is also risk involved. What will the investors do if the rumors prove to be wrong?
