241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange Listing Prices on: January 06, 2019, 03:22:14 PM
Crypto-bridge is your best choice. As far as I know they have two options, a fast listing within 24 hours and a standard listing within 14 to 21 days days from application. The standard listing is 3 BTC, the fast listing is 7 BTC: https://crypto-bridge.org/coin-add/ No one can guarantee the volume. It depends on how attractive your coin is. You can also try cryptopia: their listing fee seems to be somewhere around 6.6 BTC (calculated from the current DOT coin price): https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinListings

242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: x14 Algo based Coins on: January 06, 2019, 02:32:26 PM
Is X14 algo really different from X11 algo? Not really. Just a couple of more algos packed into one mining protocol. What keeps these coins alive is not the algo, but the premise of future value. If there is no hope of future value, nobody is going to mine them, they lose value, get abandoned, and end up dead.

244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that any altcoin is worth investing in? on: November 12, 2018, 05:01:49 PM
You are right saying that many alts lack liquidity and I also agree that most of the alts are pure speculation and not really an investment opportunity. But when it comes to liquidity, the top 10 alts seem to have pretty decent liquidity. Or at least the exchanges give us such numbers. For example, the 24 hour volume of XRP on binance is 5,400 BTC, which is not bad. The real question is to what extent this is a real number and not artificially engineered liquidity. The exchanges have been shown to do this shady practice to improve their perceived importance and position.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What coin will trigger the next cryptocurrency explosion IF it is not bitcoin? on: November 12, 2018, 08:31:41 AM
I second this opinion. No other coin can take over bitcoin. This is as if you ask what other search engine will overtake google. There is no other search engine that can do that. Google will lead in the future the same way it has been leading in the past. The only peculiar thing with regard to bitcoin is this: bitcoin did it first and will remain first. Not often does it happen that the first solution is the best solution. But with bitcoin it did.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never regret anything on: November 11, 2018, 10:03:24 PM
Agreed. That's the right attitude to adopt if you want to lead a happy and successful (crypto) live. Don't regret for any and all missed opportunities, but learn from them if you can. This is even more true if you trade actively. If you trade you will have so many missed opportunities for more profit, so many wrong decisions, that you would be emotionally wrecked if you don't learn to focus on the here and now, as you put it.
247  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BEST TELEGRAM SIGNAL CHANNELS on: November 11, 2018, 04:18:55 PM
Think about this. You own a telegram signal channel. And you may even have some technical skills to predict how the market could move, but this doesn't matter much. Now, if you channel has thousands of users, all you have to do is find a shitcoin with low volume and buy some shitcoins in advance. Then you announce that this coin will rise pretty soon. The members of your channel start buying it, and voila, the coin starts to fulfill your prophecy. Now you wait a little bit until enough members buy, and dump your coins with substantial profit. This scheme may work for you every time, but for the members of your channel not so much. Many will end up losing...
248  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin now a stable coin? on: November 11, 2018, 02:01:56 PM
This is a good thing. Bitcoin shows signs of a stable coin, keeping its price in a tight range for months. This doesn't mean the price won't change in the future. It only means that bitcoin is now more mature and can't be moved so easily. This is what the other stable currencies also show, for example gold. Long term it will rise, short term wont be so volatile.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Creator of Satoshi dice new project looks pretty innovative on: November 11, 2018, 01:33:20 PM
Interesting link, thanks for sharing. A couple of questions: How do you know that the creator is the same as in the case of Satoshi dice? I couldn't find anything about the creator on the linked page as well as on the wiki. If indeed it is the same creator, it would be worth taking a closer look. Has anyone tried mining? Do you have to mind with CPU or GPU or you can use both? I see they say the algo is ASIC resistant.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2080Ti on: November 10, 2018, 06:15:41 PM
I used to be a 1080ti owner, and I have to say I'm disappointed in the new series. So I too wouldn't rush into buying one of these any time soon. It looks like a card barely improved over 1080ti which comes at a rather expensive price. No point even looking into them, unless they do something drastically with the price. The realistic price should be about $800.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: More altcoins produced the more Bitcoin or even ETH will go down on: November 10, 2018, 01:37:35 PM
I don't think that will be the case. Look how many coins are already dead and have very low volume that they will be dead pretty soon. And look at how the new alts are being used most of the time. They have no utility value and they are being used primarily to accumulate more bitcoins. So they may be around for some time, but most of them will fail in the years to come. This may happen all at once in a single bubble market crash, or gradually over time. It doesn't matter how.
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to do a technical analysis?? on: November 10, 2018, 01:32:02 PM
Babypips (link) would be a great start for a beginner.
Hey  CodyAlfaridzi, thanks for sharing the link to babypips. I had no idea such course existed. Even though it is for forex, it is 100 percent applicable to crypto. Really really helpful, I cant believe it's free. Great resource for beginners, I can tell you that.  No need to share other tutorials, the OP should get into this course asap.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Malaysia To Setup Degrees On Blockchain Technology on: November 10, 2018, 10:57:13 AM
Just to make sure I understand your post. It is not about degrees in blockchain technology. It is about preventing university degrees fraud, counterfeiting, and other manipulation by using blockchain to store date. Right? By the way they seem to have chosen the NEM blockchain for that.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do determinate a ICO team is good? on: November 05, 2018, 06:55:49 PM
I don't spend too much time checking the people behind the projects because I never invest in new ICOs. Sure if you invest, you have to know where your money goes. And you have to be very careful because even if the project looks good, you never know if the team is fake. I limit myself to just participating in bounty campaigns. For that, I have to know that the bounty manager is reliable. If the manager is good, I know he will do all the checking regarding the team and project he is managing. Even without investing and just participating in bounty campaigns, I'm risking my time because you never know for sure whether you will get paid. I wish I had a better answer for you, but that's the harsh reality.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Ethereum classic on: November 05, 2018, 10:02:16 AM
As already said Ethereum Classic is the original Ethereum. Ethereum Classic decided to stick to the basic premise of a good cryptocurrency which is its immutability. Ethereum, on the other side, decided to violate this basic premise, and got rewarded for that, at least temporarily, by wider adoption and popularity. Sometimes it is like that in live: the ones that are with more integrity suffer, but who knows, maybe the tables will turn around again. Just saying, not that I personally root for any of these two coins.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops still worth getting into? on: November 05, 2018, 08:53:47 AM
I don't participate in airdrops any more. I used to, just to see how it works. But I realized pretty soon that they are worthless, if not all of them then probably 99.99% of them.  So don't waste your time on airdrops. You can surely find more constructive and creative ways to earn money than to spend countless hours registering, filling up forms, retweeting, and what not. And even if you get a couple of tokens by participating in airdrops, how will you cache them out? First, you would need to move Ethers to those addresses, and second in most cases their amount is so low you wouldn't be able to trade those tokens.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to Choose better Bounty Projects? on: November 04, 2018, 09:08:07 PM

Most important: TRUSTED BOUNTY MANAGER:-
I couldn't agree more. This step is essential for choosing a good bounty project. You don't have to look anything else. Just make sure the bounty manager is trusted. If the bounty manager is good, he will make sure the bounty campaign is legit. And if the bounty campaign is legit, you have good chances of getting paid. Nowadays first thing I look is the manager. If the manager is no good, I just walk away. No point wasting your time on other aspects of the campaign if the manager can't be trusted.
258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which site is best for buying/trading cryptos on: November 04, 2018, 12:19:53 PM
I don't know about bitpanda, but if you are going to buy with cash, Coinbase is one of the most famous sites. Changelly is another option. Another good option if you are from Europe could be CEX.IO.  I don't think your physical location matters much in these things. As I said, I haven't been using bitpanda so I don't know how safe they are.
259  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin Trading - Winning guides for 100x BTC/USD leverage. on: November 04, 2018, 08:17:49 AM
Is not too risky use 100x leverage?
Yes, you are 100% right. 100x leverage is insane. Unless you are an experienced trader, but even then it is much too risky. There are hidden fees that will quickly eat up your margin. See for example this post https://hackernoon.com/why-you-shoud-never-trade-100x-at-bitmex-the-liquidation-price-vs-bankruptcy-price-606ccd4b7528 where the difference between liquidation price versus bankruptcy price is explained. Up to 25X leverage could probably be acceptable in many cases, but even better to stick with lower numbers.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which site are you using for keeping track of the value of tokens? on: November 04, 2018, 08:13:32 AM
I'm using livecoinwatch.com a lot. More information and the possibility to built up a portfolio. But it's also kinda buggy.
You are spot on with livecoinwatch. This is the best I have found so far, in my opinion, much better than coinmarketcap.  Very nice user interface, nice design, everything works as it is supposed. I haven't noticed any bugs so far, but the reason could be that I don't use it so much. Other sites of this type, but not as good, are CoinLib, CoinCap, CryptoCompare and CoinGecko.
