2401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XMY] Myriad 0.11.3.1 | Upgrade | 1st Multi-Algo | New algo (yescrypt) on: August 25, 2016, 07:10:38 PM

2) It only works for the time being on pools that don't require membership, just using your address as your username on the pool. So, it will work with p2pools when they get up and running on yescrypt, and if you know of any other yescrypt pools that don't require registration it should work there too. I wanted to keep it as simple as possible, and avoid asking users to have to register on a pool website.

www.zpool.ca doesn't require registration:

stratum+tcp://yescrypt.mine.zpool.ca:6233 -u <WALLET_ADDRESS>

http://www.zpool.ca/site/gomining?algo=yescrypt

Cheers!

Anyone know of an active pool?
I use to mine 42-coin, and wouldn't mind doing so again.

It's on my pool, the miners multipool and it's often mined: www.zpool.ca

Cheers

It is an issue I've observed and reported but hasn't been acknowledged.

I've mentioned before, I'm not a developer and don't have the first clue how to revamp that part of the pools code nor is it even very easy to understand what it's doing to begin with.

It's here though, if you've got some ideas:

2404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: August 24, 2016, 06:31:52 PM
Agreed.  My thoughts on it are simply this.  If you're going to have a program that is dedicated to mining, then you should have the option to mine anything with whatever is at your disposal.  Asic, GPU, CPU, FPGA, etc...  To see that show up in Awesome Miner would be all the conviction I'd need to make a purchase.  As it is, I'm using Miner Control for CPU / GPU mining and while it does a great job, I'd much rather centralize it all in a single App.  If Awesome Miner does this, then that's the goto app for me.  Smiley
First about your initial question about Zpool. It should work with Awesome Miner. On their web site I can see the following instructions:
stratum+tcp://<algo>.mine.zpool.ca:<PORT> -u <WALLET_ADDRESS> [-p <OPTIONS>]

In Awesome Miner this should be added as a Pool with the following settings, where I will use X11 algorithm as an example:
Server URL: stratum+tcp://x11.mine.zpool.ca:3533
Worker name: (your bitcoin wallet address)

Auto profit switching is not supported for Zpool. I couldn't find an API on their web site, which would be required in order for Awesome Miner to support it.

To answer your question about ASIC / GPU and so on. Awesome Miner doesn't care too much about this as long as you use it together with a Cgminer style miner API (or Sgminer, Claymore's Ethereum, ccMiner). You can for sure connect to many different systems and get a good overview of the mining from a single user interface.

Please try the free version of Awesome Miner to see if it works well for the features you are looking for.

You can see the api info here:

http://www.zpool.ca/site/api

And the actual API json is outputted here:

http://www.zpool.ca/api/status

Not sure if the format/content is what's needed but there you have it Smiley

Cheers!

Hashrate is more stabile but reduced to 230 MH/s. On other Pools I get a rate about 360 MH/s. Seems for Titans zpool is not working

Are there any other titan user who can present their settings?

Can you tell or guesstimate how often you see your shares being submitted?
2406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][BTC Multipool] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ Paid 800+ BTC on: August 24, 2016, 02:33:58 PM
Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant 10gh/s from just me; not from the pool. The pool has a large amount of hashing power and should easily give a miner a share of the Dash if mining at 10gh/s. It regularly goes higher than 60gh/s on zpool. It's either not distributing the Dash correctly or the pool isn't mining enough of it over other coins.

and? we can't know when a block will be found. sometimes its a couple hours, sometimes several in the same hour. the pool does easily give you a share of DASH.... when a block is found. there is just over 200mh on other coins right now.and 72000mh on dash... I don't see a problem with that. you're saying... that other 200mh will make the difference in finding a DASH block?
2407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: █▓▒░-< [ZPOOL.CA][BTC Multipool] The miners multipool >-░▒▓█ Paid 800+ BTC on: August 24, 2016, 02:07:23 PM
ltcrabbit.com seems to work fine... multipool.us mainly mines Dash... A small share of dash is huge; 10gh/s should be enough to mine Dash but zpool is not switching to it. The other coins are worthless and add nothing to the balance.

10gh for an hour should not equate to: 0.00255328 btc

Surely zpool want 2% of 0.02btc opposed to 2% of 0.002btc.

Do you even look at the pool stats? DASH has 60gh on it right now.

Sorry, had to wait 360 seconds.
1Q24z7gHPDbedkaWDTFqhMF8g7iHMehsCb

It should be mining coins like:
Start
Uro
Dash

Because it's not mining the key coins, it's paying out less than a tenth of what it should be; it's way off.

you have DASH and URO pending. And from what I can see ... mining for a few mins, isn't going to get you much, sorry. Its not how multipools work. pool hoppers and minute miners will find profitability less desirable compared to steady consistent miners.  And well,,, START and URO are far from profitable and it can take hours to find DASH blocks sometimes. LAst DASH block found was nearly 100mins ago:

x11 is not working correctly. zpool keeps reporting high btc per gh but all it mines is unprofitable coins.

Where the heck is dash or startcoin???

Something is wrong with myr-gr. The profitability of Saffron is really high, it gets most of the hash, block time
is 3 secs, but there hasn't been a block found in over 2 hours.

Users might want to take myr-gr out of their profit switch rotation until it's fixed.

Keep in mind TTF:  *** estimated average time to find a block at full pool speed

So, if all the hash was on that coin... that's about how long it'd take to find a block. only a small fraction is the hash is/was on sfr.

Hi,

I am new here at this forum. I have got a question regarding KnC Titan and zpool. My hashrate is horrible jumping with a highly rejected rate. Get a daily payout about 5 bucks. I played around with the custom difficulty but this has no effect. /#xnsub#skipcbcheck is added.
Also this options:
  "no-submit-stale": false,
  "scrypt-n": 10,
  "failover-only": true,
  "scan-time": "1",
  "queue": "0",
  "expiry": "1"

On Nicehash I get a daily payout about 15 bucks with this options.

Is there anybody who has got an Titan working well and can show its settings ?
Thanks a lot.

Greets
Littlebooty

I hope there are some other titan miners, but I've not had any feedback from them since I started the pool so I'm not sure what to suggest but I hope some miners will reply with some good suggestions. The only think I could suggest, which was from my last pool, is to set no-submit-stale to true but here is the config we worked out as the best for my last pool:

{
  "pools": [
     {
      "url": "scrypt.mine.zpool.ca:3433/#xnsub#skipcbcheck",
      "user": "coinaddress",
      "pass": "--diff 16384"
    }

  ],
  "scrypt-n": 10,
  "failover-only": true,
  "no-submit-stale": true
}

To point out the obvious, sometimes crap happens and a pool or a coin will get sidetracked onto a different blockchain.  The people that attempt to take advantage of this deserve what they get.  Nothing.  When all is said and done, Zpool and its operator did what he had to do to prevent more damage to his pool and miners using it.  In no way is he responsible to pay you out for the coins you thought you were mining at a ridiculous profit.  I myself did notice x11 jump to the top of the pool and immediately disabled it because it was well out of a normal mining rotation for me.  I don't expect Crackfoo to pay me for the blocks I mined on the wrong block chain, nor should you expect him to.  If you notice something acting weird it is your responsibility to report it, which people did, and he took action.  We are a pool community and need to look out for each other, not try and take advantage of each other.

thnx. you're right, pools and miners need to work together. You're the kind of miner pools need Smiley

Couple of days ago there was a huge spike in the return rate mining x11. I got on board a little late but the mBTC/Mh/d for it was at 1.7 "incredible"
I watched as my reported unpaid amount rose to 0.2 BTC then the mBTC/Mh/d went slowly down to 0.2 still quite a lot over a couple of hours, then I turned in for the night allowing 3GH to run through the night on it, should have been 0.2 BTC plus a fair amount beyond.
Last thing I was looking at before hitting the sack was "unpaid": 0.19**** and pointed it out to my partner that this site reports via their API that I am to get this amount explaining that each 0.1 meant $58
Next day and still almost 48 hours on, not a trace of the major portion of this payment, even the paid "total" amount doesn't account for the approx 0.2 BTC earned.
Should have stated around 0.45 but next morning was around 0.26, close to what it was before I "apparently" mined the big return.
Had the odd payment come in to the wallet since the spike, nowhere near adding up to 0.2 BTC +
The payment figures being reported have "amazingly changed"

Very suspicious about payments from Zpool, turn your back and they are gone in thin air.
Are the figures the truth? or are we taking a risk throwing tons of hash power at misleading figures that are questionably real?

I had some suspicions previously that the returns did not match the promises and this time I took particular notice due to the huge return rate being reported, a good win was expected.
I think I have my answer. Still waiting, eyes glued to the bitcoin wallet for the value that's never coming.

X11 WAS ON A FALSE FORK--

According to Crackfoo, the X11 mining was on a false blockchain.  No miner got paid.       --scryptr

It wasn't according to me:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg15990973;topicseen#msg15990973

But yes, dash balances were reset. There was about 6-7 hours of mining on the wrong fork. 2 hours or so of which DASH was exchange and paid out (zpool owes ~138+ DASH to exchanges now). the other 4-5 were cleared since they were all on the wrong fork and would not be paid.

You don't feel that suddenly making 8-10x the usual amount was a bit odd?

I've checked several accounts now and payments were within close proximity of the usual historical payouts.

Get over it please.

REMINDER, We've reconfigured our stratum servers a few weeks ago now. please see our main page for the new hosts and use them ASAP or you may find your miners not able to connect.

Most importantly:

SHA: stratum+tcp://sha256.mine.zpool.ca
SCRYPT: stratum+tcp://scrypt.mine.zpool.ca
X11: stratum+tcp://x11.mine.zpool.ca

Still have hundreds of workers on each using the old addresses.

Cheers

@crackfoo

I asked this before, but you were probably swamped after coming back from vacation.

Is the sha256 pool safe now, and is the problem that happened on Wednesday before you got back understood?

I'd like to try mining here again, but am concerned about what happened with my S9's.

I'm not positive what the issue was then. I do see right now, that might have caused an issue.... a whole bunch of connections submitting:

20:23:20: unknown method mining.multi_version

Not sure what at is coming from... a certain type of ASIC miner?
2420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [VLT] Veltor ∀ : For All on: August 22, 2016, 05:07:18 PM
Hi,

We've added VLT to the miners multipool: www.zpool.ca

For now, you can only mine VLT using a VLT address and on the veltor algo until it is listed on an exchange.

stratum+tcp://veltor.mine.zpool.ca:5034 -u <VLT WALLET_ADDRESS>

Cheers!
