I love how newbies show up, don't bother reading the thread then state without any explanation that it's a good deal

This even though that Chohannes guy writes this in his first post:

Hey been lurking on this forum for a LOOOOOOOONG time.

How can you be a long time lurker yet don't read a thread, fall for an obvious scam and write a positive post about it with a fucking smile?

Who wrote that? Can't see it. Maybe it was a sockpuppet account.

Chohannes wrote this in this thread:
Looks pretty neat to be honest Smiley

And in his first post ever on the forum he claims to be a long time lurker
822  Other / Meta / Re: Can we Propose a BitcoinTalk.org App? on: January 04, 2014, 09:52:32 AM
You can propose it, but I am betting that it will never happen Wink

It will be dumb if it didnt.
Not endorsing the app of someone unknown that can do whatever it wants with your password is dumb?
823  Other / Meta / List of reported threads on: January 04, 2014, 09:49:22 AM
I know some moderators think it's not a good idea to make the reports "result" (accepted or not + reason) accessible by the reporter
But would it be possible to at least show the list of the posts one reported? It shouldn't be too hard to do?

Quote from: bitcointalk settings page
Changing avatars is currently not possible.
When will setting/changing avatars be possible?
When it's ready
827  Other / Meta / Re: The forum is now unusable via Tor on: January 04, 2014, 09:14:50 AM
I go through the ban list and remove them every week or two.

There's a Tor option to change exit nodes less frequently. Then when you find one that works, it doesn't stop working in 10 minutes.
It was already proposed by someone: don't you think whitelisting registered users would do the trick?
828  Other / Meta / Re: VIP Member "goat" abusing trust rating system on: January 04, 2014, 09:05:57 AM
Do you really think that he's not deserving of a negative rating not only from me, but from everyone whos witnessing this behavior?

I thought the Trust System was designed/intended for business transaction dealings, not for "I just don't like you" reasons ?
I think it's more a "this guy will likely scam you" system
829  Other / Meta / Re: Gratz to SaltySpitoon for becoming a global mod! on: January 04, 2014, 09:03:25 AM
Like he doesn't have enough work with the new altcoin subforums Grin
Congrats and good luck

Bienvenue.

Tu peux refuser. Sinon c'est 0.0001 BTC il me semble.

836  Other / Meta / Re: gmaxwell, his libel, being a ----- and the 200 BTC bounty. on: January 03, 2014, 02:48:10 AM
However in the end it seems people are willing to attempt to frame him to collect the bounty
People are willing to do a bad thing to win 100+k $?
No shit Sherlock!

839  Other / Meta / Re: AUTO-SAVE feature in the post you are writing on: January 03, 2014, 12:05:50 AM
I don't want to look like I'm advertising but my userscript BitcoinTalk++ now saves the content of the textbox and can resurrect the last one

Can this be made into portable JS without any additional JS libraries? I'll add it to bitcointalk.org.

With HTML5 storage I think it's doable rather easily (my script uses greasemonkey's storage functions instead of HTML5)
I can do it if you want me to, it shouldn't take long
