If the DAO hack/exploit has shown anything it is that you cannot 100% trust code. Anything created by humans is subject to errors, bugs and unforeseen exploits.
What mechanisms do the Wings team have in place to prevent something like this happening with the Wings DAO? For example will there be human failsafe mechanisms?
It would be very useful to know this as as security is going to be at the top of the agenda for many investors.
For starters we going to use RootStock federated security, about which you can read in the recent interview with them ( https://media.consensys.net/2016/05/19/smart-contracts-are-coming-to-bitcoin/). This will enable check-pointing and rolling back any malicious transaction, even if the contract had a security hole. We have additional protection measures planned we going to implement as part of Wings own multi-blockchain decentralized oracle. Thank you. I will give it a read when I have some free time. It is refreshing to see a team thinking about things carefully and not rushing as the creators of the Slock.it DAO seemed to have done (at least with hindsight). |

I guess we will see a little decline again. It is always the same pattern. A big news comes out and the price pumps. Then a few days later a correction is usually happening. When the feature gets released then the price pumps again to new highs. I think the same will happen to the fullnodes release on WAVES. No. 1 spot for volume on Bittrex now. Long may it continue!

What about extending the ICO if the goal is not met?
Yes that could be an option. Great. Would be a shame to waste all the effort put in. I think it is just an unfortunate time due to other ICO issues and the general feeling of malaise and losses following the DAO hack. With that in mind it would make sense to make adjustments to the ICO period if required. |

Was thinking about this. I plan to claim my lumens, free coins lol, but I'm concerned so will the rest of the crypto world, and in near the same time frame. Price will plummet, question is should I sell ASAP, or hodl since they are free and hold long term? Can always rebuy cheaper I feel, seems like the stronger strategy. Depends if you want to hold them long term or not. If you sell now and buy during the expected dump you can get them at a lower price and effectively increase the amount you have. The risk is always that the dump may not happen or may be delayed. I'm selling some of mine to buy back lower but will hold on to a small amount in case of any crazy unexpected market behaviour. |

only have few but would love to see it happen before i die. Hopefully we get a definite date for the FIAT gateway.
