Whether AMT cares or not about updating the customer base on this thread; it's amazing that they wouldn't post SOMETHING especially with all these legal threats coming about. It's not even JUST this thread: there are no responded emails or phone calls.

Reality check: They don't have anything NEW to update us with: therefore the lack of updates.
1422  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 05, 2014, 06:52:40 PM
I'd assume they were Radeon cards (never been a fan). Perhaps since they have had a surge in bitcoin usage, production QA has gone through the floor.

ISAWHIM: I agree, one would think they would be using machinery to apply thermal paste/heat sinks. Just goes to show you they are assembling these CRUDELY by hand.

By the looks of the latest pictures, I don't see the same type of assembly line as seen by Bitmain/Bitmine. My thoughts are this is a half ass manufacturing process: so forget about consistency. I won't be surprised if there are many of the same issues with the newer models.

Enough for one machine they will paint it gold and add angels to it. It will hash at 1 PH and puts off so much heat you have to carry miner by the poles it's mounted on. It will be powered by the QI wireless standard.
If you attempt to open it for repairs it will melt the face of you and your Nazi friends.

We'll call it the ARK.

We should do a betting pool.

200 Page thread before anyone gets a 1.2TH miner.
1426  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 04, 2014, 09:53:24 PM
Just thought I'd randomly check back here. Yup, the thread still reads the same as on page 3 and 4. "Are they real?" "They don't respond!" "They don't deliver!" "Scam!"

My 80gh is still hashing. Probably getting one satoshi a day, guts all over the place and I had to reroute the boards through my own usb hub because the hub that came with it was defective. I probably couldn't sell it but there it goes, hashing away.

I feel the pain of you guys who still don't have your orders. I hope you get something soon - a unit, or money back, or closure!

What a surprise, another 80GH buyer that has defective parts.

QA at AMT is a joke. I have little to no confidence in their technical abilities.
1427  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 04, 2014, 09:43:52 PM
i tried calling too. an exercise in futility.

I am quite sure they blocked your number... (Stalker customer) Tongue Call from a neighbors house!

You should apply to work for them. We can link you to their job application page if you want.  Roll Eyes

Of course they are ARE just blowing smoke up your asses. |From status shipping all of a sudden status changed to waiting for components to arrive. Do you care? if you do please show some patience because of tension AMT are going through and safe their harts from hart attack Grin Otherwise PUSH THEM HARD Grin Grin Grin Grin
The choice is yours. always AMT Grin Grin Grin Grin

Agreed, this is what doesn't sit well with me.

They said they had everyone building these machines out and shipping - then it turns out it's a complete lie.

They treat customers like idiots and lie to us. This is why people moving forward shouldn't invest with AMT. Even if they got their shit together, their track record is already tainted. They obviously don't give a shit about their customers, and that will not change.

Not sure if anyone saw this, but it's worth a look.

Worth taking a look at his EBAY account's history. He's got over a thousand sales and 14 negatives (mostly for selling IPhones).

Hard to say if those are negatives are legitimate or not.

I believe ISAWHIM is right, where are the photos if the 'miner is in hand'?
1431  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 03, 2014, 09:24:03 PM

he says he will send me pictures of the miners on Friday. we will see. i find it hard to stomach our dear Josh is handing out minors to buddies so they can sell them for double on ebay. The man in the picture with Josh looks like his twin.

Can you please share the photos with the thread?

Thanks.
1432  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 03, 2014, 09:15:32 PM
They've been claiming that people will get their miners 'very shortly' for over a month now.

Definitive timeline please?

lol... Everyone is delivering AMT miners, except AMT. (Bad joke)

Might be a bad joke, but it rings true so far.

I understand everyone wants this work out; so do I - but let's not be ignorant to the facts at hand here.

I'm also very concerned about all the scammy startups that have made that Chester Pike address their 'home base'. It seems Joshua Zipkin (Founder of AMT) or his father, has made a living creating bogus corporations and businesses.

It's no wonder they have been deflecting attention from themselves this whole time, I cannot imagine how they would even begin to explain some of these "coincidences" between all of those bullshit startup companies, and AMT. It's just easier to hope people don't DIG into their past, and if questions arise: ignore them.

1/3 of businesses don't survive the first year. At 5 years only 1/3 of the original businesses are left standing. Something tells me there is going to be quite a bit of turnover in an office space, I've seen similar things at home. A company is going and looks like everything is going great then boom out of business. Sadly it happened to a few of my favorite restaurants.

Picking one building you associate with a company and then tracking the businesses in that building proves nothing. When we don't bother to actually think how common something is (like a business going under) mere coincidences start to look like they add up to something that isn't really happening.

I wonder how many professional buildings have opened, filled their offices with tenets and never had a single one leave, due to business going under or need for expansion, or being bought out. my guess is not many.

Then its just a wild coincidence that every business prior to AMT being in that office space, has been a bullshit online business that has made itself out to be much more than it actually was. A lot of these companies had boasted "millions of dollars worth of assets" yet have had this dumpy little office space, and eventually failed. Yeah, i'm totally buying that.

I think you forget who OWNS the office space (as stated by Joshua) - papa Zipkin.

I guess that office space just attracts the shadiest of companies, for some reason.

Doesn't it bother anyone that JOSHUA ZIPKIN's other companies, all have manipulated social media pages with fake reviews and Likes? If a company is truly legit, and does good work : then you wouldn't need to fake your facebook page to reflect that.

Crunch, your best point was the first one: how Rwmax misspoke on behalf of AMT by saying "we".

Impossible to trust AMT after going to these desperate lengths of impersonating satisfied customers.
1437  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 03, 2014, 03:27:39 AM
Not when you factor in power-supply, labor connecting it all, some form of case... (Last time I checked, they didn't ship with power-supplies.)

Add in an overkill power supply for $99 and it's still cheaper. Case not needed. If you really need to host your miner in your baby's crib, I recommend some other product.

I'm actually seriously considering just buying hashpower via Piggyback mining. I bought a small amount already, and the cost is about the same as an antminer when you add in a power supply for a five year contract. I've been using them for two weeks as a "test" and they have paid out on time every sunday. Not a bad deal, actually. I'd prefer to have the miner physically in my possession, but this ain't a bad alternative. And the ability to buy 1 GH/s at a time is kind of cool as well.

It does, however lack the flexibility. I can't mine anything but bitcoin with it. That's not all bad, but as the diff rises, I can play arbitrage games if I have a miner in hand. So, Ant or not ant, that is the question...

Maybe I'll split the difference and try to get a cube or something. I'll have the money to pull the trigger in a few days.

Have you considered day trading? Smiley

in the backround you can see boxes with ups pouchs on them.  Which could mean they are getting ready to ship....

Yeah, or those are the cases they ordered in those boxes.

so since the thread is a little slow today I thought I would share a little story.
It's a little off topic but it seems I may owe the group an apoligy.

Last night after I went to bed 2 of my post's were reported to the moderator as off topic and deleted. (most likely by our new friend RWmax)

The 1st was a lighthearted attempt at some constructive criticism on how AMT could improve the quality and content of their photos. Although I did use a dirty word it wasn't meant to offend. I am pretty sure biomech who was referenced in the post knew it was in jest and responded with an lol and a comment that was enough on topic that it did not get deleted. Biomech I want you to know I have nothing but the utmost respect for your even keeled, unbiased nature. You try to treat every one equal and help people feel more comfortable joining in on the conversation. I try to do the same but my social media skills aren't as polished as yours. (maybe someday)
Nothing brings back memories of my youth more then the excitement of a young boy getting to be involved in the opening of a machine that makes money. You probably deserve one of those dad of the year mugs or something.

The 2nd was a comment on a cute little picture of some kangaroos Phineus posted. Being caught up in the comedy this thread has become maybe I narrowly steped on the line there, so, to anyone who was offended by the masturbating kangaroo, my sincerest apologies.

One of the things I can thank amt for is giving me a reason to fallow this thread. I have grown quite fond of most of you on here, even people I didn't really care for at first I have grown to respect them for their knowledge. I am who I am and they are who they are and who the hell am I to judge.

Mr Puppet, (and I mean this in the nicest possible way) when I was lurking way back when I thought you were kind of a pompous ass. probably because of personal denial and some because of your way of trying to get your point across to us non-believers but you did prove to be right and for that I owe you an apology. Plus that dancing cat gif was some funny f#$@%n stuff.

anyway just thought I would share that with everyone. now we can get back on the topic.

Wasn't me! However, I reported RWMAX for flooding the thread with those pictures and in general for just being a raging faggot. First time I've had to do that.

My guess is AMT wants to kill this thread as soon as possible by using AMT Sympathizers (aka Shills) to over post the thread until it's unusable. I'm sure they want to just delete it outright, but that would just make them look even more suspect.

Don't let them win. Stick around Crunch, your common sense is desperately needed here.

I'm getting sick of hearing "AMT is based out of the USA!!!" - does that shit really even matter anymore? I would take a company based out of China or even the Ukraine at this point, if they took credit card and posted timely updates in a professional manner.

Their owner JOSHUA ZIPKIN (Mr. world traveler from west to east) is all over the 'Balkan Markets' (according to his resumes) - but disregard that! They are based out of the USA!!!!

Just because they are in the U.S, doesn't mean they will deliver on time, at spec, or at all. If anything it's more of a marketing ploy to get $ and trust from those of us in America.
