Once AMT_Miners started addressing customers by their real names like that: they lost a lot of trust, and opened themselves up to the same treatment.

Yea, the last thing I want them to do is start addressing me by my actual name! Whoooo big flags light-up when I walk into a bank and they look at my ID and say... Can we help you Mr John Smith?

Run, they know your name! Burn them at the steak, they addressed Mr John Smith as Mr John Smith!

That is a violation of the anonymous collision! How dare they!

I am calling the police right now... Hello, Police I am... Um... Some guy... and I would like to report... Um... Some other guy, who's name I can't mention... How fast can you arrest... Um.. him... or her.. or them...

What is this Harry Potter?

Well you know what, if you're going to defend them over that behavior; then you truly need your standards raised and your head checked.

We are on a FORUMS where users use HANDLES to preserve their real identity. For them to OPENLY post on the thread someone's name because they don't like what they are hearing, is TRULY unprofessional.  I'm pretty sure 99% of the people here would agree that them posting responses using real names was just a straight up dick move. At least if they greeted you by NAME in bank, it won't be with a loud speaker, and it's not left on the internet for the world to see. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!

Then you're going to cry about these guys posting Joshua/Harrison Zipkin's real name? Get fucked!

You know, I'd love to have a real conversation about all of this with you. It's hard for me to believe you can be THIS dense. Since I think you are relatively intelligent and technical, I will continue to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Not to mention, posting one link, is a lot easier to digest, in a thread. (A link to your own thread with the bible of information you collected.) If you have a reputation, you can use that to your advantage. But I don't recall AMT calling you a white-trash Caucasian-cracker... So that makes them more trusting than your posts. (Or what-ever derogatory remark best suits your race, or lack there-of.)

You must have memory loss. Look back, there are quite a few posts where they resort to calling people stupid, idiots, or liars. They have resorted to name calling quite a few times, as well as posting peoples' real names in the forums that hadn't done so prior.

Speaking of which, in my eyes - Once AMT_Miners started addressing customers by their real names like that: they lost a lot of trust, and opened themselves up to the same treatment.

I encourage posting all of their real names, whoever is a part of the AMT team is fair game.

1463  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 01, 2014, 05:19:26 AM
According to your logic, if some entity named AcMe MIners started an official thread for hawking their wares, later, when serious question arise about their operation, NO relative information in that regard should be placed on ACME's official thread. Correct?

If it isn't official, or their information... then no... You go to one of the already existing topics called "scams", and post your crap there, or make a new post for your detective-work.

Better yet... you contact the police... the FBI... or anyone-else with proof of the crimes. Failure to do so, knowing a crime has been committed, makes you just as guilty and a possible accessory. Even if you did yell out loud, "thieves!"

Why no police report... Since you claim to be "helping us out", by trying to "save us from fraud"... Show them your proof of fraud, and come back here with the filed police report, and a follow-up investigation from real certified investigators. I would entertain their post, as i have entertained yours. However, their post would help us, unlike yours, which does nothing to help us. (If it were a little more clear, it might... But I doubt that.)

At this point I couldn't give a shit whether you get ripped off or not. It will be hard to think you weren't asking for it, they way you have been fighting everyone here that has legitimate questions for AMT.

So you got ripped off in the past? I guess those who don't learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.

I hope any newcomers that consider AMT, check out this thread and decide for themselves whether investing AMT is a good idea or not.

AMT has already said not to expect updates on this forum or thread anymore and have basically told members here 'visit their website' for more information: which means this thread isn't very OFFICIAL any longer. Fuck you, and the idea of starting a new thread. AMT doesn't own this forum, and you want this to be the 'best hopes and wishes for AMT' thread - not going to happen kiss ass!
1464  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 01, 2014, 04:47:40 AM
ISAWHIM - On another note: You may be patient but I do not understand why, given that bitcoin mining is highly time sensitive.

All this dicking around and delaying is costing us money in the long run.

Patience has grown thin and so have our chances to recoup our investments mining with each day that passes and deliveries aren't made!
1465  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 01, 2014, 04:43:12 AM
Listen, if AMT was more upfront about who was running the business and working for them: people like Phin wouldn't have to dig for intel.

I do completely agree with that... I will not argue that I would like to have that known too. However, that, to me, is just a wish, not a desire.

I don't care who runs apple, or microsoft, or even these forums... I don't even know who owns the electric company... But I still pay the bills and buy things from them.

What matters most, is what they deliver. (To me... and deliver to me! lol)

I guess I am just still more understanding to the situation than the few who have made it clear, that they are less understanding and have thinly growing patience. Anticipation kills, even if this was all executed on-time and all estimations were 100% accurate... this forum would be full of the same posts. Until the second the miner arrives, and we never hear back from 90% of the people who posted before it arrived. Tongue

The detective-work, along with the other facts, has a place... Just not in the official post.

Don't even start to compare AMT to APPLE or Microsoft. Those are long established companies with lots of money and credibility. They wouldn't ever let something like this happen because it would be devastating to their business. Not to mention if you wanted to sue either company, it'd probably be easier than trying to track down AMT's founder amidst all of this shit.

On the other hand, a little start up like AMT can take stupid risks and treat their customers like shit. No one knows who AMT is and if they walked away right now, they'd probably get away with it.

That's where the intel comes in. We want to know who is accountable IF they decide to walk away.
1466  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 01, 2014, 04:27:47 AM
why no deliveries yet!?
why no tracking numbers yet?
1467  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 01, 2014, 04:23:52 AM
To throw a new topic in the mix, has anyone ever thought of all of us making a pool mine together?

That would be amazing, and then make our own COIN. We would call it: WaitingForAsicCoin  or WFAC LOL.

WFAC coin!!!!

I want to make my own coin... But that is a topic for another day... Tongue Completely unrelated to AMT, but designed for sha256. It does require more than me, for the creation, so until I find a decent team, it waits for the opportune moment to strike.

Perhaps when Josh has more time on his hands, I could use his consulting service, and existing miners-base as the "opening-day" release for the coin. But until I have mine to play with, there is no need to move forward with talk of a coin-design. lol.

Though, an AMT pool would be a big promotional point, when the miners come into possession. They could even "test-mine" on the pool, giving those mined blocks to the "first buyers", while also showing customers, "Hey your miner is built, and being tested now, watch it mine for you live." With the link to the miner on the pool, with the same number as the order, to identify it, until it is shipped-out.

Yeah, right. And after you 'CONSULT' with Josh, you can ask him to shove his penis down your throat - because that's how you've been acting in regards to AMT this whole thread. Fucking AMT fanboy from the start with nothing to show for it, as of yet.

I'd be worried about getting into any business dealings with you ISAWHIM because I question your decision making. You seem pretty intelligent, maybe you're just blinded by those dollar signs in your eyes, I don't get it.
1468  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 01, 2014, 04:18:28 AM
Listen, if AMT was more upfront about who was running the business and working for them: people like Phin wouldn't have to dig for intel.

We don't even know who AMT_Miners is: I believe it's Josh Zipkin without a doubt, but they claim its various people from the team posting under the same account. I call bullshit on that!

Every communique so far (in videos directed to the members here) it has been Josh Zipkin - so for him to say otherwise, seems like complete horseshit.

If they weren't such LOUSY "business owners" then people here wouldn't be doing all this detective work. Everything is so secretive and misinformation is rampant; like they are covering their asses.

I could of posted a photos 100X better with my smartphone in 10 minutes - yet we get a like 9 photos, and they aren't even very detailed. A few of them are of pictures of the packaging material for the boxes...Really AMT? Really?

If I owned a legitimate bitcoin mining company, you'd see almost daily updates and photos/video of me and the team working on stuff. We would be proud to show it off. AMT posts lousy photos and appears to hide more than they show. I wonder why.

1469  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 01, 2014, 01:10:52 AM
I have this theory about AMT...

1> They take pre sales for miners dating back to October 2013.
2> They quickly buy up the hardware and manufacture the miners
3> They run the miner themselves during this 'early profitable period' and bank on the BTC made
4> After many delays; miners are finally released to buyers to avoid possible refunds.
5> Miners are essentially vaporware and cannot ROI due to the delays. They will work, but will not pay for themselves - and getting a refund on this will be difficult since AMT can argue they fulfilled their promises with "limited delays that weren't directly their fault".

This would explain the lack of videos and pictures, they do not want us to know these miners already exist and are hashing them BTC since last year.

Theoretically: If a few refunds are issued, it's not the end of the world (to AMT) because someone else will take their place. As we've seen before, they will not directly refund the customer themselves: they just become a middleman between someone else buying the pre-orderer's miner.

I know it sounds a little confusing, but what I'm trying to say is: customers have paid AMT directly (wire transfer/BTC) but when it comes to getting a refund, they (AMT) says someone else must 'take over their pre-order' for a refund to occur. The original buyer gets their refund, and is essentially replaced by a new customer (the person who took over the pre-order). AMT doesn't spend a cent to refund the customer.

AMT is a SCAM: because they are using our money to fund their mining operation. We'll simply get the used hardware afterwards (that does work) and after months of trying to recoup our investment running the rig, find that it isn't going to break even. By this time, any kind of refund is impossible. AMT will do everything to make you happy and hold onto that equipment and not get a full refund, but it won't matter because it will be worthless in less than a few months.

So, that is my theory. Is it far fetched? I think it's genius actually if it could be pulled off. You are basically spending other peoples money to create a huge array of miners that make you rich, then you pass the hardware off when that earning window has elapsed and fulfill the customers' order.

Please let me know your thoughts on this possible theory.
1470  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 01, 2014, 12:14:57 AM
If we don't receive a product, we can file a lawsuit. It is simply illegal for them to just take money, and their bank knows that. I asked their bank this question, and they stated that if it is a scam; there would be legal action on my end and on their end. Bank fraud is some serious charges, so I doubt they would be dumb enough to do this.

~SSgt Merry

Well you'll need their business information to do that won't you? It'll be easy to look it up thanks to Phin and Augusto: even though there are some dodgy-ass business registrations made on their behalf.

Phin, maybe you can chime in and let us know if they are even legitimately registered as a company? Last we spoke about them using another companies name of AMT Inc. that was founded in 1983.

Casirah: Just yesterday you were like "Fuck this shit!" and now you're back to defending AMT? What happen, you saw a few photos of some hardware and changed your tune?

Same for you FRICTIONLESSCOIN: When there aren't updates for a week, you seem to agree that something doesn't seem right with all these facets of AMT : then a few photos are posted and you're back on the AMT wagon.

It's obvious you guys are just buttering up AMT in hopes that it will get you your miners and possibly a discount.

You guys need to stop acting like a bunch of babies and realize there is a lot of money at stake here. Knowing who OWNS,OPERATES, AND IS FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AT AMT: IS A GOOD THING. You should be thanking Phin instead of bashing him. What the fuck does he, or anyone else that is exhibiting COMMON SENSE of these shady business practices, have to gain from posting this stuff? NOTHING.

One last comment: AMT doesn't need to necessarily SCAM a buyer to get away with murder. They can send you a miner that is very LATE to arrive, or fails after a month, or is just a non working piece of shit to begin with: and then respond to possible lawsuits with "Well we were a startup that tried to develop bleeding edge tech, but failed due to X and Y". It is entirely possible that they are setting themselves up to fail, even with deliveries of product - then walk away with lots of cash when it all goes south, saying "they tried their best". Even if a month from now they hopped on here and said "Sorry guys, we tried to build these miners but our company has become bankrupt in doing so", you'd be fucked.

This shit happens all the time.
1471  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 28, 2014, 11:54:04 PM
Phin: Don't listen to these guys, keep posting!

Some of you guys are really clueless.

When people end up fighting for refunds or not receiving product, they'll use all the information you provided about Joshua Zipkin and his father (owners of AMT). Harrison Zipkin entered the arena when his son involved him with meeting clients of AMT. He is obviously involved with AMT, so he becomes fair game. Overall it seems that shady business ethics run in the Zipkin family.

Casirah, you spent 5 hours making a road trip to meet AMT and they blew you off. They also have your money. While I appreciate you making an effort for all of us, so is Phin. If AMT has an issue with what he's posting, they can respond to it. They are very picky and choosy to who they respond to; specifically giving attention to 'prospective buyers'. As for anyone with concerns that have already paid, they are on the bottom of the list for them.

He's not out to trash AMT; though it becomes hard not to when you read the shit they post. I believe he has everyone's best intentions at heart, he's simply informing the public about WHO is behind AMT. If you don't care about who is financially involved with AMT, and you gave them money : well then you're a fucking retard. If and when this startup bites the dust and you lose all your money, you might decide being a pre emptive AMT supporter and shill wasn't in your best interest.
1472  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 28, 2014, 07:18:38 AM
OMG they are freemasons! (That is soooo funny, and cute, at the same time.)

They do still exist! (Old joke.)

Not saying it is... but it looks photo-shopped. (The two guys in front, close to the camera have tiny heads. Just looks odd that the ones further away, in the background are so much unproportionally larger. Weird effect on the camera too. Looks like an old 1890's box-camera took the photo.)

Now THAT is good detective work! Creepy almost... but good. (Not sure if it is helping AMT or hurting them. Now that I know they are masons... I want to buy even more stuff from them! Tongue)

Phinnaeus Gage, the more you dig-up, the more real it makes AMT look... Was that your point? I forget now. Tongue (Kudo's on the deep-searching. You impress me now.)

They lied about working late to get miners shipped out, coming here six days later stating that they're behind indefinitely due to some parts not being invented yet (their words).

Joshua Zipkin lied about Harrison being a friend of the founder of AMT, when in fact Harrison Z. Zipkin is Josh's father.

Harrison Zipkin has been shown to run shady companies.

Since the nut doesn't fall far from the tree, and Joshua is proving that adage here, I took it upon myself to rake the nuts together onto one pile so that all the squirrels don't have to work as hard independently.

Phin I believe you are 100% right. That Josh Zipkin is the CEO and thread poster here. I also believe all the connections with his father. So far there is far more evidence of bad business here than good.

It's a shame if anyone blindly trusts these guys moving forward.

Thanks for all your research, you are an asset to the community.
1473  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 28, 2014, 03:43:49 AM
Amazing. They finally posted some photos. Where's the video though? Can you supply some photos/videos of this thing hashing?

Would also like to see more photos of hardware - you know, more than 1 miner worth of boards.

If 6 boards aren't operational within the case as of yet, why are there 6 pictured here? I guess the bottom board was just dropped in there for a photo?

Why is that A1 Chip (bottom left) marked up? Is that solder or thermal paste on the board to the right of it?

Either way, I'm really deflated after seeing the build quality and so called 'manufacturing setup'. This truly looks like like amateur hour. The miner itself looks jam packed (the cases being a stupid idea in the first place). I'm really curious what the power draw and operating temperatures will look like: if they aren't up to spec as they promised, this thing will eat electricity like there's no tomorrow and kill potential hopes for ROI.

Even if AMT is not scamming: the delays will continue and lead to late miners that won't see a return: with or without the additional boards. Based on their customer support, even if they got their shit together in the next 6 months: I would never recommend or buy with them again. It has been atrocious and completely unprofessional.

Getting an honest update from these guys is like pulling teeth, and now they just don't want to update anyone on the forums - just their sketchy ass website. It's funny, they didn't seem to have any issue rounding up customers via the forums, but updates - that's a big NO-NO. This is probably because the forums have shown everyone how incompetant they are.

If I were AMT I'd do the same thing: not update via forums - by keeping it on their website and email, it will be much easier to manipulate and delay customers in a private setting.

Refund time!!!
1474  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 27, 2014, 11:18:58 PM
nice try nothing. the point is, if you don't click through you would not have found that out.

Whut?

Do not babble, d00d.

IF. YOU. DON'T. CLICK. THE. LINK. YOU. WOULD. NOT. FIND. THE. INCORPORATION. DATE.

The person claiming to have 'checked' them out obviously DID NOT CLICK THE LINK but only saw the search results page and was satisfied.

So they are using the incorporated business name of a company that was created in 1983. Seems fishy.

Do they even show up on that list? Apparently the Advanced Mining Tecnnolgy, Inc. is another business founded in 1983.

Casirah - Much thanks for trying to meet them and scope out their office building. Let's not assume they are legit since there in an office building there with an AMT sign on it. Office space can be rented for cheap and doesn't authenticate a company's legitimacy.
1475  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 27, 2014, 08:10:22 PM
Whats the deal? Are they shipping stuff out without tracking numbers now?

DOES ANYONE HAVE A TRACKING NUMBER FOR THEIR ORDER YET???

1476  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 27, 2014, 03:15:58 AM
opieum2: Please, do everyone a favor and STFU. We have been working to find out the truth about AMT long before you reared your ugly head. The first thing you said when you signed up was "TRUST AMT!" now you are back-peddling to garner trust.

We don't need to be here to post positive messages and offer support to AMT. They took our money, the least they could do is act like a legitimate business and provide clear updates. It's obvious they have little to no respect for their customers - and all this 'little wang china conspiracy' shit sounds like some distraction perpetrated by AMT. Anyone that believes that crap for a second needs to have their head checked. They even have a post in their NEWS section about chinese scams - around the same time little wang shows up here talking about making some sales. This is a joke.

Why tell us to expect shipments this week? Whats the point of saying "we have a video coming" when it never comes. Where are the tracking numbers? Pictures? Video? AMT has nothing to show their customers.

Each day that goes by, they delay and delay. Perhaps they have assembled the hardware and are running it themselves: though I doubt Jim/Josh are capable of even manufacturing these miners.

A lot of you guys don't speak up against AMT because I think you fear you might lose your order if you do so. All you are doing is screwing yourselves and the community of other investors. Grow a pair and demands answers!
1477  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 27, 2014, 02:11:02 AM
Would love to see this websites logs and analyze the IPs connecting per user.

My bet is that a lot of these 'lurking new accounts' are coming from IPs out of Pennsylvania.
1478  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 26, 2014, 09:13:55 PM
Really curious what it will take for ISAWHIM to get worried about AMT & his pre order. Perhaps when he finally receives it 3 months late, and this is what he gets.

Let's see what happens.

Still waiting on the mysterious video from AMT.
1479  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 26, 2014, 07:11:08 PM
OMG, you are indeed the douchebag of the year. Assuming C0Kez3R0 is telling the truth, who the fuck are you to lecture about his personal decisions? ROFL.

If it is true... that is even worse. (He is the one throwing his "personal decisions" at me/us.)

He is the one who said, "I clearly need to learn to make better decisions"..."might not get married..." (Shocker! Intentions of post? Sympathy/begging.)

Then he asked for "help" from "us"... (Money, advice?) He did not ask AMT anything. They already contacted him, multiple times. What help would you be doing... Go there, build it, and pack it for AMT to deliver it to him faster... Go pick it up yourself, and deliver it to him personally?

I offered him advice. Not going to give him money. Tough love is help... Reality check is help... Giving to moochers is not help... Moochers who blow rent on 80GHs miners and 1.2THs miners, then beg for more money (help). Oh, and LIE.

He didn't come back, the fourth time... for help with the miner. He has been told when it will ship. He was told not to use the forum to ask about his specific delivery again. (Told to contact them directly.)

He is begging for someone to give him money, or buy it from him, or whatever. (That is unclear) He isn't asking for a refund. (That is clear.)

Want more advice.. Mine TEKcoin solo with your 80GHs miner that you already have delivered... You will make a ton more than mining BTC.

Going back to turning my quarters into rings, to sell on ebay for $5.00 each... until the video is posted and my miner is delivered. Tongue Enjoy the silence.

ISAWHIM, it's kind of hard to understand what you are saying with AMT's dick in your mouth.
1480  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining Technology (AMT) on: February 26, 2014, 06:28:18 PM
Maybe its the same guy they hired from a couple months ago
80 pages and 2 months later and the only pics are the "chips are here, time to hustle" post.
Definitely not a pro shoot.

Jim, I use a Raspberry PI myself for misc stuff, curious to see how well the embedded PI works with the miner, would be good to see how it works standalone as a worker in pool or even grouped together under separate computer through usb. Thanks for sharing...

I know I know, the videos... We have to do it anyway because answering calls about how to hook up/connect to the TPlink inside the cases is getting quite bothersome. First thing in the morning we'll shoot a video on that and incorporate the miners in it as well obviously.

Suggestion: get some extra lights for that video shoot, even some extra lamps or shop lights.
Place 2 or 3 of them behind white sheets BEHIND the camera and off to the sides or above if practical,
bathe the scene in diffuse light.
Current picture/vid qualities are not helping your cause, spend an extra 14 minutes setting the scene and it will show your stuff off way nice.

Yea, yesterday we just hired some pro, a flamboyantly gay photographer named Charles, and he'll do new case shots for us everything else. I know those last shots suck pretty bad.. our go to errand guy (my brother in law) figured a hack off of CL would cutt it and literally dropped the miners off and picked up them up later... If you want something done right you gotta do it yourself right..

I dont think we'll go all out like that on this video, this is more of a tutorial how to setup the network functions in your miner because guys that have received them cant quite figure it out. Making a pro video, editing all that stuff really takes a lot of time and effort.

This sounds like pure and utter bullshit. Not to mention completely unprofessional (flamboyantly gay photographer ... really? - who gives a shit about his sexual preferences).
