I am a member of the Crypti Team....... I can tell you that Boris has worked with all 3 exchanges and seems to get nowhere. It is almost like there is someone paying them to not enable withdrawals. This has gone on for over 3 months. I also have XCR in limbo that was sent from Cryptsy and never arrived in my wallet. Now with the additional skullduggery going on at Bter, we are exploring many options to work around the 65% of XCR that Bter now has locked up. Situation is even worse for NODE coin. I assure you we had no idea that Bter was going to close up. I got a lot of flack in the previous page when I posted that there was some Skullduggery going on at Bter. Looks like a Romanian group has lost enough coin to make hiring a hitman very attractive. There has been a major crackdown on corruption in China. Several billionaires and many many officials have been executed for corruption. If Lin has been involved in pay-offs and the official that he paid-off has been arrested, it would only make good survival sense to grab the cash and run to a country without an extradition treaty with China........ That just means now is the best time to buy  I will be picking up some today  The price of XCR is artificially low because of the withdrawal lock in the exchanges. Once withdrawal is possible, trading will resume and the price will rise. When will the withdrawal unlocked? Gosh, I wish it was like a month ago. We have been contacting the exchanges almost every day, with no cooperation. Another exchange seems logical, but 60% of the XCR is at Bter, where we cannot get it out until they unlock withdrawals. That means another exchange would not have many XCR available. There is noting wrong with out present wallets......... they are working great. We just cannot get any cooperation out of the exchanges. Doesn't it seem strange to you that for like three months, not one of the three exchanges was willing to upgrade their XCR wallet and enable deposits and withdrawals. I have 1200 XCR that I sent from Cryptsy to my private wallet in November, that still has not arrived becuz Cryptsy sent it to a fork. That will be corrected as soon as they update to the latest wallet, but............. its not happening. Sounds very suspicious doesn't it? There is a possibility once logged in to FORGING, and a chance once logged in to FORGING, but not a sure thing. FORGING means that a client has actually succeeded at forging a block......., not that it tried to, and lost to another client. |

Anybody knows why Blockchain is reloading every time I start node? Is that normal?
The BC is stored on your hard drive. When you start the Cryptsy Client, it syncs the hard drive stored BC with the current BC. This is necessary to prevent an attack by simple BC editing. The Client will then sync with the newest blocks on the BC, showing you a pop-up box in the lower right corner. The Client also syncs with the BC every few blocks to prevent forks. The first versions of the Client took over 2 hrs to sync, this version is only about 10 mins. The RAM usage also went down from 1GB to 250MB. Once you have enable forging, the client will forge anytime it is running, even if you have not logged in. |

Perhaps you can make a deal with another blogger to trade for XCR outside of the exchange so you can get the 1000XCR needed to run a node and forge. Like you, all but 1200 of my 2 million or so XCR are locked up in Cryptsy, or Bter. We have our meeting today..... I will bring up the suggestion of selling the foundation XCR available in the private wallet to the community for BTC. OK, willing to send whooping 0.007BTC for 1200XCR, LOL. PM me. Sorry, I need that to forge XCR. I also monitor the Node Reward Program, which crashes daily. The XCR I suggested is the Foundation XCR, not mine. |

@Passion_ltc, any update from BTER as to when they will enable deposits once again?
Believe me, Wulf, we have tried and tried and tried to get this done, with all 3 exchanges. I have sent in a ticket today asking for withdrawal to be enabled......... I SUGGEST that everyone reading this post do the same. Flood them with requests, and they will make it a priority. I have a personal suspicion that Lin knows that there will be a "bank run" on the XCR once he enables withdrawal, and thus may be holding off. |

Yes, I can affirm what GreXX said.......
The expenses for the first few months after the IPO were not very much in BTC value, due to the 600USD price of BTC, and the team size was still small.
However, the team has grown and the value of BTC has gone to less than 300 USD. Also, the recent hires are more expensive than the team members, who were working for peanuts.
We still retain over 500BTC, enough to last thru this year at the current rate of expense.

The switch to DPOS will be a major change, and as such will need to work correctly right out of the box........... no time for patches or shutdowns. This update will require more than the usual 48 hrs on testnet. It will be ready when it is thoroughly tested and bug free, and not a day sooner To satisfy my curiosity how long will you stay with the current system (proof of time). I ask this because I have been forging and with transfer to DPOS it will not be available . I have to know approximately when so that my VPS billing will cease. Proof of Time was abandoned when it proved to be not scalable way back. The Node Reward Program and the present forging works on random selections. |
