Bter mainnet integration update
Bter have made great progress in integrating and testing the mainnet node today. Unfortunately the lead developer is now on a 12 hour transatlantic flight and had to pause implementation.
That sounds very fishy! We want Bter to monitor the launch with us and be available in case of any issues. I'd like to remind that original launch was planned to Friday, and both we and Bter team had allocated time for that, which was interrupted by the unexpected set of events. I understand, but for the main BTER dev to leave his job for a day during current situation (the hack etc) sounds not really reasonable. The Hack may be the very reason he is on a business trip. If they are going to prosecute the hacker, someone has to make a report/complaint to the police in the country the hacker lives in. |

More delays? Am I the only one who remembers that the wallet was originally supposed to be out 3 weeks ago? This is getting ridiculous.
I assumed the 10th was the planned date for the wallet? So right now it's 8 days off, not exactly a disaster. Or am I remembering the date incorrectly? I think the lesson learned for other coins in the future should be ... plan more time between planned release date/wallet, don't allow pre-sales trading after the ICO closes, and don't use Bter for ICOs. Before all the delays, the IPO was supposed to start Jun 30. Wallet would be released after the IPO ended on Aug 1. But then the IPO was delayed. Then the wallet was delayed. Then the wallet was delayed again. And now, because of those delays, the wallet is delayed again, because we are reliant on a 3rd party whose first priority is not Crypti. IPO relay= Better IPO plan Wallet delay 1= Better PoS algo on mainnet Wallet delay 2= Safer exchange Well you can look at 3rd party either way... either you say IPO is unsafe bc Dev's ran it without a 3rd party or Now you say 3rd party was unsafe and Dev's should have ran it... The fact of it is 750 BTC was given to the IPO in 5 days... partly bc the IPO was on a 3rd party platform... and as we see Bter has moved the IPO BTC in to a Xapo insured vault... So using the 3rd party that just got hacked and is still alive... May prove to be the best call to still to of made... This all could have gone a worst way... If the wallet was released on the 10th we all trade for a few days... price moves up the charts quickly... The hacker comes in and says while I'm here I will steal 50 million XCR as well... bc I'm not so sure that more then 25 million XCR would have been pulled of Bter by then... So we could have lost 50 million XCR from the hack... We can play the what if game all day... But the real story is Crypti is one of the best investments you can make in crypto at the moment... Yes, the hacker could have stolen XCR if the distro had gone on in time, but fortunately, XCR is so new that resetting the genesis block and blockchain would have been easy. And since there is no other place to trade or spend XCR than Bter, the hacker would have been up the creek without a paddle. He did not have access to a XCR wallet. BTW, the NXT boards have identified the hacker. They posted his info and then pulled it. Maybe thats where the Bter dev is headed on his 12 hour flight? Just a test transaction by Bter, to verify Xapo correctly received the funds. Because there is no "call back" if you get the address wrong, it is prudent to send a few sats to test any address prior to sending any larger amount. |

There is always a reason to trade like that.
I actually sold the 600 odd coins there because even though I was getting less btc (10%) when I bought Qora I got it 20% under the normal price so I still made money. Now this was very time sensitive which is why I sold into the buy wall.

That is supposed to be "ASSUME" makes an ASS out of U and ME. Besides, I never assumed anything, merely pointing out a bad trade when better is available. |

Notice that someone dumped 623 XCR for 1604 sats each, when there is buying at 1796. He could have placed his XCR for sale at 1795 or whatever the lowest sell price is at the moment and made more money(about 115000 sats more).

Does anyone know what happened to the Syscoin launch? I'm hearing there is a lot of drama going on but I missed the developments apparently.
Looking thru the blog posts, this is what I have found out. If any of our blog readers are Syscoin investors, please correct me. It seems that Syscoin had an IPO and collected 250 BTC. The devs promised to set the BTC as a SELL WALL on an exchange, so it the price ever fell to the IPO price of around 500 satoshi, the original investors could sell and get their BTC back. Apparently, the devs have absconded with the BTC and are not answering email or blog posts. "I'm shocked, I tell you........ Shocked! !!" Nice blatant lying... First of all the IPO collected 1500 btc in total. Things did not work as expected at launch so people were upset. Moolah attempted to hand over 250 btc of the escrowed funds to the devs. The devs returned the 250 btc because they knew people were not satisfied with the launch yet. So no, the devs have not absconded with any BTC- quite the opposite- and they are responding and working on the issues.. Fantastic.... someone that knows what is going on there. please keep us updated. |

I want to buy some Crypti, but I don't want to use BTER. Waiting Crypti on another exchanges (Bittrex, Mintpal).
Why would you trust Mintpal over BTER? Remember Mintpal was hacked and 30% of all the Vericoin was stolen. I would not trust any exchange to hold ALL my coins. I will keep most of my coins in my own wallet for the POS. I will keep only a few thousand to ten thousand on any exchange to take advantage of a price spike. |

Big dump right now on Bter for XCR. Price dropped from last BUY at 1900 to 1400. Looks like around 14 BTC dumped all at once.

Sorry to clutter up the thread with news of another coin, but I hold Syscoin and what has been quoted isn't true at all. The DEVs are in the thread; they've been there all morning. Sys is working. Nothing has been stolen. A bunch of idiots panicked overnight for various reasons.
An example of herd mentality and emotional trading. And an excellent lesson in the need for 24/7/365 monitoring of a mineable coin. Crypti should consider this as well. Should not be to difficult, as the devs are in widely spaced time zones. A glitch in the POS or blockchain early on can cripple a coin. After a coin matures, these issues are not such a big deal, BTC has survived several glitches. |

Seriously, is it just me or are withdrawals locked? This is very imporant question. Anyone else experiencing such issues? I am unable to withdraw BTC too. Same here. Is there anyone here who doesn't have that issue? Why do you want to withdraw BTC from Bter? You should be buying XCR with it so you can make POS XCR or sell for 5000sats on another exchange soon. OIC, you want to invest in GOLDEN LOAF YANUKOVICH ?? Are you able to withdraw? Withdraw? I am fully invested. If you think this coin was a failure just look at what heppened to Syscoin.
But Syscoin at least was already launched.  JASC (Just another Scrypt Coin) Why they have failed if it is JASC.  Syscoin just launched less that 24 hours ago. Too early for a funeral. Most new Scrypt coins are alive for at least a few days. Miners want to get in on the biggest block rewards, then dump and move on. Have you cleaned your room yet like your mother told you to? |

Crypti has already been a success. Soon the wallets will go live and hoarders will move coin to their wallets for a rainy day. Some whales will sell, some will not. In any event, reduced supply and a wider market should on the balance of probabilities, lead to increases in value. But it does not really matter what I think. The market is a force of nature. Literally anything can happen. It could go down to 0.0000075 satoshi but more likely could rise to 0.001 BTC per Crypti. We shall just have to wait and see. My money is on rises, profit taking and then further rises in value. Quantum, your IQ is being drained by reading the lamer posts above. You have confused VALUE and PRICE. PRICE is what you pay
VALUE is what you get.
The price of XCR will definitely rise shortly. The value of XCR will also rise as additional features are implemented. |

The hacker has rejected the 300 BTC from BTER. He wants more.
Greed loses. Reset the blockchain. Is there still time for that? I think that is only an option until they hit a certain block? And it's less a rollback, and more just sort of pruning, if I recall correctly. If it was up to me, I'd just go that route. NXT is sort of wrecked either way ... might as well choose the option that is the least damaging. Bter should never have begun any negotiation with the hacker. To do so, just encourages others. The proper response would be to roll back the blockchain immediately, and let either the gangsters or the police handle it, depending upon which country he is in. The hacker should not get any reward for his crime. The proper response to any attack, is to immediately counter attack with full force and ability. |
