Sing with me "Here comes the rain again..."
The drought may have been ugly but the rain feels so good Smiley
Now if I could just get pi's connected to my RK-boxes to stop crashing twice a day...

I've got my RK-Box running on R-Pi...whatcha need yo?

Whoever did the rain dance at about 21:00 UTC last night, thanks very much!
You certainly got Slush dancing again.  Grin

Not sure it was me but I was the last to "complain" or "question" our block finding mojo (numbers) here at slush as I am considering moving still...

I've been on the road and checking my acct. over the past few days...not looking so great. How are things @the guild or eligius compared to here? Are they struggling as much as we seem to be??

Apologies for my lack of updates...I am out of town helping family but should be back in a few days and I will post updates to my projects asap.
Thanks much!

Happy mining  Cool
124  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: btcgarden-AM-v1 down to $0.57/GHs. In stock for international selling! on: September 13, 2014, 06:35:43 AM
Paperclip.

Neither of the 2x CX-750M's will power your AM-v1x2 without issues? You've checked each board individually?
It would be hard pressed for 2 identical PSU's causing these headaches...I am really beginning to suspect a faulty board on your miner
125  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 13, 2014, 04:55:16 AM
We have went from 8 blocks in 24 hours down to 6 blocks in 24 hours. With this pool hashrate we need a minimum of 12 blocks per 24 hour. You guys know I'm normally positive about this pool when everyone is bitching, but it's panic mode time!!!! Sound the alarms!!!!!!

Yeah I am watching the block count closely and will be making a move in the next couple/few days if necessary.
126  Economy / Goods / Re: Parrot Drones now in stock at CoinsForTech! Worldwide shipping! on: September 13, 2014, 02:09:05 AM
pretty expensive

Actually for a fully functional drone and the caliber of the Parrot, I'd say that is an awesome deal! I will probably snatch one up soon and convert it to a slightly bigger drone with my 3d printer.

Anyone have a list of current pools merge mining Dogecoin etc? I really like my Dogecoin pool but may as well look into getting more coin for the same hash power!

How do you know if someone was block witholding?
It has been discussed to death in other threads.  There is absolutely no way of knowing it apart from bad luck for certain. The best you can do is be very suspicious once one miner has mined more than about 5x diff in shares and not found a block. By 10x diff it's almost certain. That's a long time to wait and see before you can start accusing, and there's nothing to stop them from just moving their mining to a different account or split it across multiple accounts to hide it. On the other hand, on a non-PPS pool, the miner has zero to gain by doing a block withhold unless they're maliciously trying to harm the pool as a very expensive exercise. The only known block withhold to date has been attributed to a software bug on the miner's part for their custom mining hardware+software combination, but even then we'll never know for sure.

Thank you for putting this into layman's terms. I actually understand it better now than from when I was trying to follow the thread and I do remember the custom software being mentioned now.

I don't claim to know too much about the technicalities of how mining works but I do my best to stay aware of whats happening so that I can make more educated decisions when it comes to buying new gear or what have you.

I wondering where it came from all of a sudden. I have looked at other pool forums and I don't think it is failover as all pools seem to be up. 3+ PH is a lot of hash to throw around wonder if a smaller pool is mining us I know multipoll.us jumps from pool to pool but I don't think they are close to that size.

Hmmm, makes me wonder if this was the 1 Ph/s miner that was block withholding on another pool but with 3x the hash power...

Those wondering about the "buggy" front end issues as of late...I do remember seeing a post on Facebook mentioning a WEBGUI update so I'd imagine that is all that is going on.

There's quite a few pages in the BTCGuild thread about the block withholding user...it was going on earlier this year from what I read

I'm talking with my family and friends so we can work on a "group buy"  Grin

Anyone near Portland, Oregon is welcome to get in on the action. I'm planning at least $100 myself...perhaps more if my friends/family want any. Thanks for providing this service here!
133  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: btcgarden-AM-v1 down to $0.57/GHs. In stock for international selling! on: September 13, 2014, 12:04:08 AM
Well, is been working steady for almost 24 hours, so this AM-V1X2 does not use 640W as advertised the only way it works is with 2 CX750M one for each 2 boards, unless there is an issue making drag more power than it real use. One of the CX750M is new, only used on this device and the other one was powering 2 S3 for 2 month without issues.
I don't see any other information on the forum other than CX750M can power the 4 board as mstrongbow posted.
If there is no other way I don't mine, but one should know before buying in order to not waist all this time and money and buy the right PSU.

Also all the boards get very hot, I can cook eggs on it. Smiley

This high power usage is something that can be fixed or is just the way it is?

I am asking because in other miners I was able to low the temperature a couple of degrees cleaning the factory thermal paste and applying it correctly and I guess the power too because the PSUs got less hot.

Strange man...I have an AM-v1x2 running on my CX750M and I have 3x AM-v1 running on a single RX-1000AE PSU, never an issue. I'd suspect either A) your PSU/s are failing or B) your AM-v1x2 board/s are faulty.

How are you turning the PSU's on? Jumper wire? Paperclip?
134  Economy / Lending / Re: For reference: Agreement between myself and "mstrongbow" on: September 12, 2014, 11:15:20 PM
lemme know if you need any help with those or if you have any questions/concerns.

Thanks again bro!
135  Economy / Goods / Re: buy beef with bitcoins on: September 12, 2014, 08:03:43 PM
I notice that my website "www.andelinlivestock.com " has some issues in the link to pay with bitcoin. Until I get this fixed if anyone wants to order beef using bitcoins, you can message me on this forum or send me a message by email on the website. Thanks,
Paul A

I had no idea you had a website until the last post on the last page Cheesy

You might want to update your OP to include your website. Right now it just says: "I am working on a website."

Also, do you ship to Canada? I saw a few people discussing it in the thread, but couldn't really find an answer.

+1 on the website....very cool!

Please let me know if your butcher uses any products containing wheat, rye or barley in their jerky mix as I am still very interested in purchasing some quality beef jerky. Most soy and teriyaki sauces have wheat-gluten in their ingredients so it is difficult for me to find quality gluten free beef jerky.
Thanks

My butcher tells me that the jerky does have nitrates in it but does not have gluten. However, I know that some people are extremely sensitive to gluten and that if processing equipment has been used with other gluten containing recipes that the "gluten free" product might have minute amounts of gluten in it.Since this is my first round with the jerky I am a little nervous about this, not wanting to cause anyone a problem. Therefore, if you want to try it, perhaps a small sample first, just to make sure. The jerky will be ready next week. I will have priced posted next week.
Paul A

Hey Paul, I'd gladly pay for a small sample shipped my way...I can order some home gluten tests and determine how safe they will be for myself and others.
Thanks much!
136  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Save 50% on PSUs w/ Gigampz: Board for DPS-800GBA 850/1000 Watt Server PSU on: September 12, 2014, 05:39:13 PM
Woot! Finally!!!!

Printing the final revision now. The print I started last night turned out really well. The fitment was spot on! I've beefed up a couple of the walls and will have pics of the completed production ready case. As always, my cases feature a tool-less installation (snap-fit) but also have optional screw locations for securing the board/case to the PSU. Just gotta whip up a design for the front feet to level the PSU and good to go. I will be designing a stacking rack for these PSU's too!

I will be shipping 2-4 cases your way today and the rest asap!
137  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 12, 2014, 03:41:33 AM
It's been a bit since this has happened.  Slush always takes care of it, just always very little or no comms.   It can suck to see 40th/s not reporting.  I figure if they don't fail over to a backup pool they'll end up getting reported correctly (2x expierence with this happening ).  Like folks have said - the front end and the back end are different servers.  Patience just sucks sometimes ;-)  I still average higher payouts here over a year now.

Lip

Thanks for the heads up and yeah I've been mining with slush since early spring...just never saw he front-end fail like that in my short time here.
Glad everything is kosher and I did not need to change to a failover  Grin

Check your reward for block 320231 mine was way off (low), I don't think it is/was just a front end problem.

Ouch! About 50% my avg oof

Now...the question is should I put in a pool change req or not, hmmmm
139  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [5000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: September 12, 2014, 12:37:09 AM
No shit, all my miners are at Slush but not showing up. Reward whacked do I need to do a support ticket?

Just checked my account page and ALL my miners are NOT being reported, ugh! Glanced @ my RK-Box webgui and it's reporting okay...must just be somehing wrong with the Slush pool account dashboard.

Nothing on my failover pool so I am not gonna stress it...things will get squared up soon enough.
