You got PM, give me your postal address, I'll check the delivery price.

I updated the OP with serial numbers for the PSU, they are often selling for 20$ on ebay on your side of the sea.

That makes a very cheap 1300w reliable PSU.

Sweet! Working out a deal for 2x boards +shipping (1 of each style) on trade for 10x ea. style board safety enclosure shipped to J4bberwock  Grin Cool
Thanks mate!

How much for 1 board shipped to US west coast?
Thanks!

Edit: just reread the OP, shoot me a PM, I'd like to order one of these so I can design a safety enclosure for them.
Thanks and cheers mate!

I'll send you one of std and XL design.

Awesome! Shoot me a payment address mate.

Also, where can I pick up a PSU for these? The PSU will help with designing the case for best fitment and I can possibly use the PSU for a miner or two.

Thanks again!

Hi all. wow great rig set ups you guys have.  I'm still a bit new to mining. and just ordered one of those Blackarrow breakout boards. and i'll have a total of 5 r-boxes monday.

I'm going to be using a Corsair CX 500 watt modular PSU.

and before i go plugging cables into that board i just have a few questions.

1) in order to run the 5 r-boxes, do i plug the 24 pin ATX cable and the 8 pin CPU and one of the 8 pin PCIe cables into the board and then attach my r-box pigtails to thier respective + and - connections on the board ?

2) and if and when i eventually have all 10 r-boxes ( if i can find 5 more over the next couple of months ) do i need to plug the last 8 pin PCIe in for them or will what i have plugged in be enough ?

3) How would i go about plugging my Raspberry Pi Model B+ onto that breakout board?   i can't seen to find any pictures of that set up anywhere.

4) i have a Rosewill  7 port USB hub which i'll have to upgrade to a 10 Port when i get all 10 R-boxes.  Is there a way to power that off the Breakout board or will that still need to be plugged into a powerstrip ?

any answers to these questions is appreciated. been learning quite a lot from reading these forums. you guys are great Smiley

Thanks

plug the 24 pin atx c able
  plug both pcie cables
  leave the  cpu cable out
if I recall you can get 5 volt power out of that  but I never bothered to do it.

see photo bottom right just above the on off there is a none wired 3 volt and right above it a 5 volt that is ready for use it has 4 screws on it.  2 pos 2 neg  check your wiring very carefully  when you hook your gear up.

Yes you can power your R-Pi off the 5v output on the BA board. I will post pics later.

BFGMiner rocks!

Thanks so much to ALL the devs who have put work into BFG!

Any suggestions for getting my RK-Box to hash at full speed using Minera?
Thanks!

My RK-Box performance...
Minera reporting ~315 Gh/s
Slush pool reporting ~260 Gh/s

Switching back to Rockminer image until I further research this

If you are using BFGMiner hit up the BFGMiner thread. This is an issue I've reproduced myself. Luke has also been discussing with another fellow on IRC potential issues preventing BFGMiner from overclocking RockMiner equipment properly.

Basically, those RK-Boxes are super overclocked. If you check the RPC API stats on it, while the web UI may be reporting e.g. 520 Gh/s, you'll find some of the boards are generating upwards of 20% HW errors. Without the ability for BFGMiner to properly push the boards / chips, it's not going to hit the numbers their image does.

Gotcha and thanks Nate! I had the same RK-Box running on MultiMiner awhile back using BFGMiner and there were more HWE than the Rockminer image BUT it was definitely faster on MM that Minera. My RK-Box is somewhere in the range of 6% HWE and 2% rejects on avg.

I will check the thread and see if there is anything I can do to contribute for a fix, even if that means me just pulling code or stats from my machine.

I will raise some funds for you if you can get it supported?
How much would you need?

Anyone know if Minera will work with one of these...

Thanks!

Nope it's not supported

I am willing to donate a couple days worth of mining to this cause! (roughly $45)

About to setup my RK-Box on Minera  Grin I was just reading up to see if I was going to have any IP address issues or not, I'm still unsure whether Minera will assign a static IP different than the other Minera controller I recently setup for my BlackWidow miner.

Edit: No need to fiddle with the IP settings as Minera took care of that for me. I am now running 2x Minera instances though the RK-Box is reporting slower than running the Rockminer image (298 Gh/s down from 460 Gh/s), might havta try a different miner as I'm using BFGMiner for the RK-Box and the BlackWidow as well.

Just added --rock-freq=320, hopefully that works! OR not...not sure I put that in the right place

Any suggestions for getting my RK-Box to hash at full speed using Minera?

It would seem that Bitmain has gotten into the Litecoin mining business.  $599 120mh Scrypt miner Antminer L1 380 watts.  Now that's some power.

https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140830074550960Um75pnzg06E3

More like WILL be getting into the scrypt mining...not shipping until December IF they can get it right the first time.

It would be great and very handy.

what about this block though ?  It's having it's quincenera !

Yep...difficulty just went up. It should balance out soon enough thogh I'd imagine another Ph/s or two would do wonders about now.

My how much slush has grown!

This spring we were pushing around 3 Ph/s and today (currently) we are at a whopping 6.8 Ph/s!!

Go slush go!

Word, thanks for the quick reply mate! I will be sending some Dogecoin your way very soon. I have been controlling my BlackWidow with Minera for a few days now. Very awesome software you've developed mate! I especially enjoy the MobileMiner integration.

Cheers!

difficulty dropping? I don't see it unless BTC to USD drops to $200.00 or less.
what I do see is another 40,000 TerraHashes being applied before the next adjustment

have to consider the fact, each time the difficulty goes up the low "baller hashers" will just stop and try to sell off their old miners no one wants which i think falls about 25% of the total hashing.

price dropping and difficulty goes up i see a lot of lower end hashers just stopping, in return is good for the rest of us Smiley

if only that could be true... difficulty hasn't dropped in years

I could be wrong but I could've swore the diff dropped not long ago (8 weeks or so)...the drop % was very low but it can and does happen...just nowhere near as often as increases cause there are more people getting into BTC mining versus those getting out of mining
