301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner 3.3 w/Remoting: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: August 15, 2014, 02:28:12 AM
looks like a very great tool. gonna try it out later.
is it possible to mine darkcoin with this soft?

Totally!
I have been mining Darkcoin for a couple months now.
Multiminer is THE shit!

Check out Hashfaster's Dark pool, very reliable and due to the smaller hashrate, more DRK per round is earned compared to the bigger pools.

Thanks! Ive been looking for a decent pool aswell.
Cheers!

You betcha! Hashfaster has been slow the last couple days (no blocks) but we did have a good last week. SimpleDark is okay as well but the rewards are smaller since the pool is so big!

Here's the pic of the box that the loaned DPS2kBB was shipped in...fortunately the board made it safely!

Anyways, I am working on the enclosure and will have a better ss ready soon!

You betcha! Yeah I am big into micro-electronics! Just got word today that my Microview has been shipped! (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1516846343/microview-chip-sized-arduino-with-built-in-oled-di)

I am working on couple other case designs and one incorporates the Adafruit 16x2 LCD (http://www.adafruit.com/products/1115) which is another custom requested enclosure.

Pretty sure that's exactly the IP for this forum.

Yeppers...but why the crap is windows throwing me the warning now? Lemme check a couple other BCT notification links...nope, just clicked the Rockminer notification email link without the warning  Undecided

hmmm, very strange, I clicked a link from an outdated (older) notification email for this thread an no warning. Ah well, not long before I start designing the enclosure for these boards!
307  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ROCKMINER ASIC miner official thread on: August 13, 2014, 11:09:29 PM
I only need the power cable that appears in the following picture

I ordered a Rocketbox from rockminer but it was sent to me without the RPi power cable, rockxie didn't answer to my mail, can you provide me with one or at least can you tell me where can I get one??

Hi,

I have spare heatsinks. They are official rockminer ones with the correct number of fins. Although you didn't buy from my online shop (https://www.eyeboot.com) I would happily send you one free of charge if you just pay for the postage. Let me know what you think.

That's pretty much the most affordable source for model B R-Pi's right now

They seem to be out of stock just about everywhere. Might need to purchase from Minersource.net yo

I don't know what that cable is for but if you need one, I have one here, shoot me a PM with your info.
I have my RK-Box mining without that cable, I couldn't figure what that cable was for...it may take me a minute to dig it back up as I am still unpacking but I just had it in my hands earlier today.

edit: A Micro-USB cable (most phone charger cables) will power your R-Pi without issues...you can even power from a USB hub so long it is a powered hub.

Weird...just clicked the link in my notification email and I get this message...

Anyone have an extra board handy? Sadly I cannot afford one yet...don't have a use for one either, I just want to further develop my 3d printed enclosure design for these and without a unit on hand, it's impossible to test fit.

I will gladly supply anyone with a couple enclosures once complete and the entire process should take less than 2 weeks, including shipping in both directions.

Thanks!

Send me a PM. I'd be willing to send you one of mine to test while i'm on vacation if I can get 2 cases out of it? Leaving tomorrow so I'd need to know today.

Just PM'd you my info. Going to up the ante and throw in a couple R-Pi cases and some other 3d printed goodies as well!
Thanks much, you rock!

Just got the board today. Thankfully it's okay but the box looks like it went through hell and back! haha

I will post pics of the box later...trying to locate the battery for my spare laptop right now and will be hopping on the design machine this evening and should have a rough draft ready sometime tonight

I think this is something I could tackle. I'm booked solid for the next week working on new designs but I can definitely fit this project in very soon.

this is great I already heard they are going to be doing 3d priting with metal very soon, Im sure these machines are going to cost alot.  I was thinking of investing in a 3d printer for myself just in case if something breaks, do they have 3d scanning yet?

Yeah the 3d printers that print in metal are way expensive. On the other hand, FDM (fused deposition modeling) style printers are becoming super affordable and within the next few years, I imagine 70% of homes will have one! There are a few scanners on the market...I am waiting on my Rubicon scanner to be completed and delivered, hopefully within the next couple of months, haha

Same address as above and I'd like to re-enroll another month.

Also, do you have an affiliate program? I often have new miners asking me where to buy and Minersource.net is the first of 4 awesome and reliable sources for mining gear in which I refer.

Thanks again!

No rush as I know you are super busy but I have not received my payment for the July9th-August9th period. Thanks again!

I just received a stack of cardboard boxes that can hold 4 X2 units. At 30x30x12, they are just over the size accepted for USPS priority. However, if you are willing to wait 5-6 days parcel post, I can ship for $14 per unit with an order of 4. For those interested, please contact me via PM.

Good looking out bro!

I got some pics for ya too...I'll have them to ya first thing tomorrow. Also made the final changes to the combo case and will be printing those starting asap (1 ASICPuppy lid done!)

the GUI looks great!
Whats the noise levels?
How hot compared to other 1Th/s units?

PSU's are included?

Louder than a S3, but not SP10 levels

Heat is not that bad... but the airflow setup makes me "wat", they have them set to pull in cold air and exhaust out the case
instead of the reverse

Thanks for the quick answer.

Yeah I was studying the pics, also read on Dogie's guide the PSU is custom and included.

That's wack man!!! Why would they run the HOT exhaust through the case??? A quick flip of the fans should alleviate that?

Also just noticed they have the PSU intake INSIDE the case...would probably be better with the PSU flipped as well and a cutout for the PSU air intake...otherwise I'd definitely add a couple fans to increase overall airflow inside the case (with the radiator fans flipped so they exhaust instead of intake)
