5101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zero KYC tolerance gambling platforms on: October 26, 2022, 11:22:22 PM
Is KYC verification very important to crypto gambling websites or this has something to do with their regulations rule? Where can one gamble with zero verification requirements?

It is almost impossible to get any casino(online) with zero tolerance to KYC,
Most times the details provided during the KYC are kept private without the interference of a third party. And most of this details are used to prevent money laundering or any financial theft through their platform.
But I see no reason , why someone with a clean heart and intentions be scared a d worried over KYC?
5102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Split the prize or Reroll? on: October 26, 2022, 10:33:24 PM
I really don't see any reason to roll the dice anymore rather than walk away with half of the price.
Remember it's a give away, and 0.05btc is a nice take home and there is no way I personally will continue rolling when no winner is assured.
One weakness people have in gambling is not knowing ones limit and not knowing when to stop becauee of greed which in most cases ends up In total silent regrets.
So I personally will split and walm away with half of it.
5103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I find way to win on dice on: October 25, 2022, 10:43:28 AM
Do only 50% bet 20$ every time if it fails do 60$ it fails do 150$ if it fails do 350$ if it fails do 900$ if it fails do 2300$

There is no way you will fail 7 times and if you do just increase the bet and you will get it back eventually even if you wait 12 times.

what you think on my method?

This principle and logic is really absurd. How do you expect me to keep increasing my stake amount after losing consecutively for over 7 times?
NEVER
This very principle is known as the martingale strategy which to me is very outdated.
Firstly I gamble not just for fun but to have profit in my pocket at the end of the day, no matter how little the profit might be and there Is no way you'll expect me to keep increasing my stake amount after each lose rather than going back home to ponder on the losses for the day and from where will I get all those money to keep increasing my stake amount ?
5104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win big in casino, would it be publicized? on: October 25, 2022, 10:12:55 AM
I have not paid attention much to people winning on gambling sites. I do not mean people that just win, but people that win big like over $10000 or more. All I have known is that people that won so big are publicized and people know them from there.

That is dangerous, it means no privacy and people that are known to the public can be the victim of robbers and there can be physical attacks from robbers in order to steal from the winner. That is not all, even if there is no physical threat, people like me and some other people on this forum can be afraid, feeling unsafe of attacks.

I do not expect gambling sites to be publicising this kind of news. Will gambling site ask for the permission of the winner for the winning to go public? Or the winner can just be anonymous in a way his name will not be mentioned?

Privacy is key in gambling winnings and it can't be over emphasized, but I really don't think neither have I seen a winner with his or her full name and winning amount been published or publicized but I've seen where just tye winnings and most times with the users ID publicized which I don't think would reveal the true identity of the winner.

Whatever the case may be , publicizing a winner isn't a good idea and if truly it must be done to promote the company's payment ability, then it should be with tye permission of the winner as well.
5105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 25, 2022, 09:18:46 AM

Manny is a great man and no doubt we all miss him so much, I've reserving all excitement energy for December when the real fight comes. Manny has always been the man of the people and has always show great courage while fighting and tho his due for retirement, he still takes up challenges even from a YouTuber.

One great thing about him is the philanthropic nature of Manny as he has always been about his feelow countryman and the world at large and I always pray victory for him.
We love you manny and we still anticipate December match.
5106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A disheartening true life winning story on: October 25, 2022, 07:21:29 AM

Can this guy win the case?
Has anyone experienced not being paid for their winning for real?
Why would they take your big money but refuses to pay big winning?
What could be done to curb this cheating permanently in gambling?

I'm not a legal practitioner but I have this great feeling that with a sound lawyer, the guy has a 85% chance of winning the case, because how will a winning record be wiped out of your system? And he has his slip with him as a prove and why at several instances does the casino want to pay him those figures ?

I'm also proud of the guy, for not giving it up to settle for the little given to him and this will be a great lesson to other casinos and betting sites because if be finally wins the case, he wouldn't only be paid the $169,000 but other accumulating charges and compensations.

I personally haven't experienced this because I haven't won this amount or anything similar to it.

Just as you hope to win, I guess, this casinos and betting sites also hope you fail because there must be a loser to have a winner and maybe they took the money with expections of the guy losing which backfired a d the win got so heavy in them.
I think they would have contacted the winner and explain the terms to him and possibly come to a concrete agreement and conclusion with the guy rather than wanting to forcefully deprive him of his winnings. Guess this isn't the first of its kind for them but met their perfect match this time.

Good policing should be done in this casinos and bet sites and try to set examples with defaulters, so other canesrn from it.
5107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 25, 2022, 05:29:09 AM
Would you be influenced by your favourite Celebrity who you know gambles and one day happens to post the games he played, would you be influenced to play the same game?

I am bringing up this because a popular Canadian musician Drake posted the games he played today on Stake,

Many of his fans who are into gambling as well, may have played same game without thinking. As it turns out, the game did not go as predicted for him and his bet lost.

Winning isn't certain in gambling and that's why it's called a game of prediction.
Most times we come across paid adverts on pages and social media of celebrities, and this adverts are paid heavily for by the company doing the advert, this is because the understand the power and influence of celebrities.
Most times in a country like Nigeria, people just wait and look for someone to point fingers at or push the blames to when something goes wrong and by so doing if they get to see a game been promoted by a celebrity, especially the ones they love, without hesitation they go ahead to invest in it hoping for a good turn up.
So personally I will be influenced by my favorite celebrity especially if betting it wouldn't cost me so much harm.
5108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 25, 2022, 04:53:30 AM

My question to the Bitcointalk community is this one: if it were up to you, would you keep the current status quo and have crypto casinos brand themselves as no KYC, only to ask for identity verification during withdrawal requests or big wins, or would you rather be required to complete KYC during the registration process and decide there and then whether you want to do that or not?

Please submit your votes in the poll, and share your thoughts below.

I really don't want KYC at casinos, but if there must be one, then it should be at the preliminary stage of preregistration, not after luring me with a no KYC from your advert, and after giving it a try with some money and possibly starts making some significant money, then you jumb out from the blues asking for KYC. That isn't right as I believe one of the major reasons for joining was because the casino might have stated, that KYC isn't a must.

Casinos should always try as much as possible to always be very transparent with their dealings, as this isn't just about the players but also the reputation of their company as well.

I will always prefer to do KYC before doing any casino stuff and it is the best for me ask wouldn't want to hear stories at the time of my winning.
5109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you get over a bad loss? on: October 25, 2022, 04:36:47 AM
What's your favorite thing to do when you get a bad loss?

BAD LOSSES?
Getting over loses is something different and getting over bad losses is totally something different. Remember that gambling is people from 18 years and above  and people are always advised to play responsibly especially withoney you can afford to lose.
Most times when I play casinos, it's basically for fun while hoping to make some cool cash  and if along the line I blow my money then, a chilled bottle of beer does the trick of getting over the loss.

But on cases of bad losses which isn't so common with me, then I think hanging out with friends helps as we could talk about a whole lot of things(I have crazy friends tho).
Most times bad losses come as a result of trying to recover a previous loss, which leads to revenge betting and greater losses.
5110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 25, 2022, 04:26:55 AM
If you are playing gambling for example slots and you double money with just a couple of bets on very early part of your game. Will you stop already or continue playing to earn more?

I’ve been on this situation many times before and I keep playing until I get the entertainment that I want and to have more profit. But the result is always ended up losing everything because it’s very easy to increase bet if you knew that your money that you use is a profit.  Cheesy

Well it all depends on how much I've doubled. You don't expect me to quit playing for the day because I doubled my one thousand naira for Instance, I have to keep playing because I already have a target to achieve before leaving the house and if along the line, I meet my target even earlier, I still wouldn't have to leave especially if I have nothing doing back home.

Gambling is addictive most times especially when you're on the winning side, you would want to put more effort for a greater reward and most times end up losing.
Putting more efforts could be, putting more money and maybe betting on higher odds
5111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: October 24, 2022, 09:36:22 PM
These are two gambling stories that are very interesting

Story 1
A man stole his girlfriend's 10k to place a bet. He won 100 million and returned 10k to his girlfriend. His girlfriend is furious and demands 40 million dollars.

Story 2
An apprentice who won 16 million naira on BET was asked by his boss to split the money into two parts. This 50 - 50. As the story goes, people sided with his boss, and he had no choice but to comply. It's important to remember that the money used to bet belongs to the apprentice, not the boss.

*Read the different opinions of people here

First, in your opinion, what would be a reasonable amount to give his girlfriend? Second, assuming you were the apprentice in the story, would you abandon your training or would you have given in to the pressure to split the money with your boss?

I think the girl is being so greedy and selfish in this case. The man to me is a honest and gentle man because from the first story, it doesn't seem to me like the man stole the money from the girl because the money was in his house and she forgot it while going to make her hair and then he used it for a greater purpose for them both while hoping for a positive result of winning.
Firstly he didn't hide the winning from the girl, which some greedy and ungrateful men would have done and maybe for the period just get to refund the ten thousand back to her, but he told her of the winning and even the exact amount, Ghosh that is rare and even offered to pay her 5 million, this is the height of greed from the girl as the guy also told her what he Intendee doing with the money.

I really don't know why the marketers supported the boss in the second story because the Nigeria I know wouldn't let the boy even give his boss upto a million. I think the sharing formula was wrong.
5112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 24, 2022, 09:23:26 PM
As a responsible gambler, I know we don't let gambling change our lifestyle. If today is your luckiest day ever in gambling,on your first game you won the sum of $50 000.
First, will you quit the game immediately and withdraw all your funds or will you play for awhile because you are excited.

Second, will you use this money to upgrade your lifestyle i.e living big and showing off, even relocating to a better environment and forget about your old friends in your former neighborhood ? Or will you just remain quiet, happy and living a your normal way of life but investing the money into something profitable without telling anyone ?

If personally I win such amount of money at once in a day and from a single play, no need playing more games for the while, that money been converted to my local currency is a whooping amount of money that can change ones life for good.

My life personally, must take a new dimension because I must try as much as possible to improve my life and be stable while getting into investments.
I see no reason ignoring your old friends because you made money, no that's not right, it is certain you'll lose people and still meet new people as the your activities definitely must have to change.
In summarying, I will improve my life, make investments, stabilize my life before thinking of gambling again.
5113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum whales bullish on Shiba Inu price on: February 18, 2022, 06:02:38 AM
Whether bullish or not Shiba Inu is the type of altcoin that I'm ready to take a risk on I believe it's worth it for the long term or short term, this project has easily accomplished what many big projects can't, if the bear market comes I will gladly buy even more for a cheap price.

If the whales are doing it why should I not follow them, we are supposed to monitor what the rich are doing and follow their path to success. When Elon musk started showing interest in Dogecoin, those who followed are high in profit but late comers are not. The Whale are buying when the price is down, if you have interest in the project you should do the same.
But do not gamble what you will not be okay losing, those millions you see the whale investing is nothing because they have billions. Gamble the little you can and take profit when the gains comes.
5114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoin will go 10x this year? on: February 18, 2022, 05:50:40 AM
Shiba Inu also has a high chance of giving a 10c gains.

but I still consider it very risky because this altcoin is an altcoin of pump and dump, the first investors do well, but the last investors do poorly because they buy at the moment when everyone is selling

The solution to this is investing when others are selling, by now we should know this two memecoins are likely to pump when the market recover so if you know you will fomo in later, why not take the risk now and invest when everyone is thinking the coins is dead so as to ride the hype when it does occurs because it will.
Investing doe not mean putting money you can bot afford to lose, treat memecoin investment like you trying your luck on the lottery ticket. Have other fundamental coins you have invested in, that of memecoin should just be like a gamble, that way no matter where the market goes, you would be comfortable with the outcome.
5115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin doesn't have a bright future anymore on: February 18, 2022, 05:31:35 AM
The future of other coins is determined by the future of bitcoin. If there is a problem with bitcoin there will be problem with other coins. We cannot because we don't see x2 or x3 in bitcoin again and say that it does not have future. Remember that bitcoin will become scarce as the year come and people will keep demanding for it.

Bitcoin still has some fire left in it, there are speculation of a $1M price on years coming and we are not even closed to that. Bitcoin would be achieving $100k when the bull cycle resumes and if that is achieve that means we have about 10X more to get the $1M price. Do not be deceived  Bitcoin leads altcoins follows.
Bitcoin still has 2x,3x and more x returns to giave Investors. If you are holding you'll receive all this return of investment so keep holding.
5116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why pancake performance is so terrible? on: February 18, 2022, 03:24:32 AM
Ok first of all l thought maybe i should give it some time to recover and it will show its power but damn this coin literally angers me. When bitcoin coin crashed it was like -22% and one of the worst affected cryptocurrency, I was like ok I will give it some time and it will recover with same speed bit no when bitcoin start recovering the other coins move up to double digit but this guy hardly moving at all.

Pancakeswap is the direct replica of Uniswap so there is no way the other will be performing poorly and you expect the other to be doing well. Pancakeswap does not even have more usability than uniswap so it is meant to be performing far worse but yet holding a good price be grateful instead if complaining.
We have other projects that have lost very significant amount of values, that will be very difficult to recover from. The market has very high level of uncertainty so coins would not be so positive with every bullish candle of Bitcoin.
5117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where is SHIB coin going? on: February 18, 2022, 03:17:15 AM
There is no hope in Shiba Inu for now because to me Shiba Inu will not be as surprising in price as Dogecoin.
Shiba Inu only won because it was supported by a large exchange, namely Binance, so many people know Shiba Inu.
Yes, for now there doesn't seem to be any significant price movement for the SHIB coin because lately, if we see the hype for the coin has faded, but for some time to come there may be good news for the Shiba inu community because of the current Unifaction foundation.

All market are currently stable and not just shiba Inu, every coins is waiting on Bitcoin to lead the way before they jump in. Bitcoin direction is yet been known, there are uncertainty in the market so everyone is just been cautious. Immediately the bukks return, you will see Shiba leading the charts for coins with high gains.
Many investors still has Shiba Inu in their radar waiting for the market to get some direction of a bullish Market before they start buying. You can see the holders wallet of Shiba Inu is increasing daily.
5118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most speculative altcoin of the moment on: February 18, 2022, 03:11:20 AM
We all know that Shiba Inu is a meme coin with out any strong use case but still it is very speculative coin and listed on all major exchanges including Coinbase and Binance. The Shiba Inu team should take advantage of its popularity and build its use case stronger to remove its label of meme coin.

Having the memecoin tag is not a bad thing, Dogecoin has had it for years and is a success for it. With memecoins tags celebrity can easily pump this coin as they are built on community. Shiba Inu is building very strong user case, then now have a decentralized exchange and are working on launching their own blockchain.
Shiba has also been rumored to be moving towards the metaverse and that is one good thing about a project that is not focused on a particular sector, they can always adjust and jump on trends and keep developing.
5119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2022 is the time to buy or sell? on: February 18, 2022, 02:58:36 AM
I don't think there is a specific time to buy and sell, because the cryptocurrency market is not completely predictable. There are some coins that it's time to sell, but at the same time there are also coins that are right to buy. So it depends on us, we are doing research on which coin, if the coin we are analyzing shows when to buy then make a purchase and vice versa.

This is the Time to sell more coins instead of holding, we are entering a bear season and many altcoins would not recover from the market. There should be more selling then holding to be done this year. Sell out all those dead bags and buy promising coins. The next couple of years will have a lot of metaverse related projects trending so you should be holding enough of those to stand a better chance of profiting.
Holding Bitcoin and Ethereum is always a necessity and those should never be sold instead buy altcoins theat you can always sell every now and then to get some cash.

5120  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Prediction for March!! on: February 18, 2022, 02:48:21 AM
Currently the price of Bitcoin is over $40k, as expected most altcoins followed the movement of Bitcoin and now the market is in red status. Im not an expert to make a technical analysis but I think seeing the current price of Bitcoin now, the price will be in $47k - $50k range if we enter the month of March. The price is unstable, there should be a good news circulating to influence the price to have a consistent increase.

This recent drops in the market has some connections with Canada, the whole market is in red and it is because Bitcoin is taking a hit, altcoins tends to follow Bitcoin direction so we should be seeing some red for sometime now. The red will have some breaks before march as I do not believe we will be having red days until March.
Some positive Market movement will be recorded but that does not mean March will be all green for the market. March is one of the worse months from r cryptocurrency and we should be prepared to experience more red days.
