4901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing national lottery smart or waste of time? on: January 04, 2023, 10:37:13 PM
One thing I've learnt in this forum is never to get carried away by odds no matter how sure that game night be.
As long as there is life, there's supposed to be hope.
I see no way I should be playing national lottery and still have the boldness to think smart of such decisions easily in my country because I personally think most of this jackpots were preorganized and the winners selected based of favourism.
I  barely have to play national lotteries but when I do, I see it as my little way of contributing to the government because I think and feel that national lottery is a legal way of government of extorting  money from it's citizens.
4902  Economy / Gambling / Re: Researching for Upcoming Game on: January 04, 2023, 09:08:43 PM
There are alot of pain points associated with gamblers and their serving casinos and if you're divinh into the gambling industry as a beginner, I will list only but a few I've noticed personally which includes
1. Minimum deposit: just from the tittle we, we should all know what this about, as a new casino, it is generally advised that you always make your deposit very minimal possibly upto $1 and also make the deposit very easy.
2. Minimum withdrawal: This is another factor that should be held in mind becausebit will go a very long way to helping build the trust of its casino with intending customers.
3. Easy deposit and withdrawal: this is another key factor that should be considered as no matter how minimum your deposit and withdrawal are, if it's not easy to do them, potential customers wouldn't stick by.
4. Active customer support: is is very important as response to complains from customers is very important and should be very much considered.
I hope you guys come out strong.

While trying to leave your account dormant hope you're also ready to bear the consequences of leaving your account dormant?
I also noticed this issue and it made me felt that most of this casinos have been manipulated but I also came to understand that most of this losses happen out of carelessness and recklessness from my end and it ended when I realized this and began identifying all the issues that resulted to my loss and started takling them and the profits and wins started coming despite the losses.
I will advise that you first identify the reasons for the failure and losses and try fixing them.
4904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be profitable for the business? on: January 02, 2023, 09:13:47 PM
Suppose I am doing business through an online Facebook page and website and want to accept Bitcoin. But now if I look at cryptocurrencies it comes with high volatility, and I have doubts whether accepting Bitcoin will be profitable for my business.

So lets ignore the volatility of the market and consider the positive impact accepting Bitcoin as an addition means for payment will bring to your business. Firstly you'll be attracting a new market audiences that are crypto minded which brings about more sales for your product and increase the revenue that you're generating on your page.
You aren't investing so you shouldn't be that concerned about the volatility of Bitcoin, you're running a business as such your capital should always be your number one priority then next to the profits therefore you can always trade the Bitcoin received to stablecoin or fiats. This can be done automatically through some service providers or you do it personally immediately you receive the coins.
What I think you should be most concerned about is if Facebook permit the accepting of Bitcoin as a means of payment (assuming you're doing it officially on the site) so as to prevent them shutting your page down and you losing all your customer as a result.
4905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE RIGHT TIME TO MOVE IN on: January 02, 2023, 09:01:25 PM
Another Bitcoin halving is expected to come in 2024. As it has been in the last two Bitcoin halving, the bull run follows. As we anticipate another Bitcoin halving, when is the right to buy in and stock up Bitcoin in order not to be left behind in the next bull market?

Bitcoin is at it's lowest price for the last 2years (2021 & 2022) so now is the best time to buy, we mightn't know if the price will fall further so if you aren't comfortable holding through another dip then you can dollars cost average your investment so if it dips further you have some spare funds to buy again although it doesn't matter when you're investing for the long time.
You should note though that the bull market isn't coming in 2024 as from history the bull market starts fully one year later after the halving of Bitcoin reward, therefore we shouldn't be over expected of positive outcome in 2024 instead our attention should be turned to 2025 as from history we're to be expecting a massive rally in the market in this year.
This means we have about 1 year left to accumulate bitcoin until the bull market is fully activated. This is just my observation from history and the market might or mightn't follow same pattern so best we invest now and wait instead of missing out on another opportunity to make good return on investment.
4906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't dying, it's alive. on: January 02, 2023, 09:53:07 AM
Yes, the bear market won't last forever, but not everything will return to normal. I think only bitcoin and some altcoins will recover, the rest will disappear forever and be replaced with new ones. If you are holding bitcoin, then just hold and don't sell at all costs you will be fine when the market recovers. But if your assets are in altcoins, I'm not sure you're fine, many altcoins will never recover, and your loss will never be recovered.

That's quite true because same thing happened in the previous years when we experience a bear market. Many projects died in that bear market just as we have experience in this one as well. More project are still going to die because soon the focus will be shifted from all the trending topics now to other things and project that can adjust will be left behind which is why we are advise against investing in altcoins at the moment.
All the Metaverse and NFT projects would lose its momentum as new trends will be introduced and people will shift attention to them. Altcoins that do well are those that are in the side of a trend. For example when Defi was the trend, majority of the projects in that sector did very well and same thing will repeat itself when we have gone passed the bear Market.
Bitcoin is the only coin that can give you profit in any trend of the market so we should stick to it and accumulate as many coins as we can get now that the price is selling at a discounted price. Soon this price will be a thing of the past.
4907  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin on: January 02, 2023, 09:42:31 AM
So the truth is that for middle class and poor class, if you don't invest in bitcoin, you don't have any other worthful methods to invest or save your money.

You do have other options, I'm a big fan of Bitcoin but lets to make it seem like Bitcoin is the only way to go and when people don't get what they came for due to the promising things we say online they become disappointed. You can invest your spare money into a personal business. It must not be something big but anything that brings an extra income into your pocket. Investing in Bitcoin should be for long term purpose.
Therefore if you know you'll be in need of the money you want to put Into Bitcoin anytime soon even though they're extras don't invest in Bitcoin as that'll make you to be inpatient and might lead to you withdrawing your investment early while missing out on better gains. You shouldn't only put all your focus on investing extra money in Bitcoin but also consider how urgent will that extra money be needed in future.  You can call money extra now as you have enough but in future when you don't have enough will you be in need of those extra you have invested earlier.
All this should be considered before investing so it doesn't make you pull out of an awesome opportunity that would had change your financial status.
4908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: December 31 Soccer predictions on: December 31, 2022, 06:47:09 PM
I actually don't pay much attention to taking my time in making  predictions because to be frank, I find it very difficult  and most of my time doing soccer bettings, I mostly trust a friend to doing the betting for me because I trust my friend so much and I feel he is already good at such field.
Some other time, I always use a copy trading feature on my betting app and it also helps me alot because the accuracy and winning rates of a bettor you want to copy from is been analysed and displayed on their profile.
But let me give it a trial this time.

I see arsenal winning or possibly a goal-goal
That's the most I can predict.
4909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 31, 2022, 04:19:13 PM
I recently had to go check the responsible gambling feature and I think it's really a very nice idea and concept to help safe more losses and I think if we'll implored one wouldn't have to make more of losses.
I'm also on the opinion that people shouldn't ever chase their losses no matter how painful the  losses  could be.
One of the reasons I think that leads people into chasing of their losses is using money one can't afford to lose and when the result isn't the case with what was expected, at the end one begins to chase loses and end up blowing accounts and making regrets
4910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino bonus is it worth it? on: December 31, 2022, 03:41:04 PM
It is very possible to complete gambling bonuses and also to claim them provided you meet the requirements which just as OP said, it isn't easy and most times it also seems impossible especially when the player is already making so much losses.
Talking about profitability, I reallu don't see it as been profitable especially with regards to the time and effort that would be invested in claiming the bonuses as well as tye emotional entanglement that possibly might be involved because of the consciousness to meet up some certain requirements to claiming the bonus prices.
I personally wouldn't advice anyone to go after trying to claim bonuses unless is a welcome bonus or a Cashback or possibly a deposit bonus but I will be certain to also advice to check the terms associated with those bonuses.
4911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: December 31, 2022, 03:18:02 PM
I thought I was the only one on board this ship and perspective of view towards gambling for fun.
Lately I've read and come across a thread when a poster said something about people just spending more and loving reckless life but I guess that's  only possible after you make a win.
I have always told people that no matter what your intentions are towards gambling, the upmost priority is to make profits and there is always a feeling associated with winning expecially in from either gambling or whatever business one does.
I'm on the affirmative side of OP and I stand with him to agree that, making profit unconsciously without paying attention to your losses is actually gambling for fun.
4912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 31, 2022, 02:37:13 PM
Hey guys,

With all the KYC talk lately I wanted to open up a thread and ask about your opinion.

The side of the user:
- Prefers no KYC
- Prefers anon coins as a payment platform
- If a KYC is triggered, they want to trust the brand with their documents

The side of the casino:
- Regulators are asking them to do KYC, but they need to find a balance on when it's triggered. E.g. to keep a portion of the user happy, they can rise the trigger to a certain amount.
- They are tied to a payment provider, either because of the license or CMS, and can offer only a certain portion of cryptocurrency.
- Users are abusing them if there's absolutely no KYC matrix in the system.

What would, in your opinion, be the best balance here?

Efialtis from BTCGosu mentioned that some of the casino managers make exceptions, and I can imagine how that's possible, but I'm curious in what you would like to see there.

Regarding KYC: Their management confirmed with me personally that they would not enforce KYC. (Same old story, we could of course argue about that just like with any curacao licensed crypto casino) - the good news is when I have personal confirmation of such a statement, then I am putting a "No" and if they break their word at any point of time, I would take action. That is how I have always been handling this topic and how I will continue doing it.

I had to quote your entire topic because I do understand whatost of this casinos grow through just to please their customers who most times seem to be really inconsiderate and that isn't always fair.
Most times we the users prefer to beied to rather than accepting tye truth and trying to cop with it, we rather prefer to take short cuts that looks so promising but ends up to failure or destruction.
The moment I see a casino being licensed and duely registered, I always understand that they're automatically under a whole lot of rules and regulations themselves while still trying to please we the users.
Most times I always have to blame the users as people responsible for making this gs difficult for ourselves giving room for criminality in the gambling industry
4913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏀Sportsbet.io🏀 NBA Predictions and Discussions on: December 30, 2022, 03:18:13 PM
I don't think it's necessary if we have main discussion about NBA sports betting here (I think most predictions posted here are from Sportsbet, stake, Rollbit, Roobet): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5091185.0. Well, it's for the mods to decide if this thread is accepted or not, but should be good thread if it's moderated and can only post predictions here rather than generic responses. Having separate thread for every casinos for sports betting is totally unnecessary.
I strongly agree with you mate because we already have a main discussion thread but from reading OPs post, I guess or see that OP want a thread for discussion of possible gambling and bets on NBA, which is a very nice one and if it's well moderated, to avoid possible spamming of the thread then it's acceptable by me.
But basically, I hardly hear people talk about NBA bettings which I guess is as a result of my locality and the fact that NBA isn't really widely appreciated over herein my local community
4914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attributing wins or loses during gambling/betting to Ego or Simply Intuition. on: December 30, 2022, 03:11:46 PM
Regardless of whatever the case might be, there is one thing I try not to do which is staking a bet when I'm not in the right state of mind either too excited or sad or even angry, I always make sure I don't make any bet when I'm in either of this moods.
To answer yur question, I would want to say that I mostly follow predictions and speculations while staking a bet especially when it has to do with soccer betting and this is because I always have to follow more of analysis and ratings and whole lot of other factors has to be put into consideration while making a bet in soccer bettings.
4915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: December 30, 2022, 02:34:22 PM
Personally I will definitely take the bet because I know that betting is risk and the moment I'm out to bet, it's either a win or loss and watching my losses has always been one of my greatest strategy to not chasing my losses.
Most times, the only reason why people get so carried away in betting and later on seem to be addicted is the quest to recover all their losses at a time and that will lead to a greeedy approach and possible loss of funds and blowing of accounts.
Well, the percentage of my capital I would risk in the bet all depends on how much capital I would be having as at the time and one thing I'm certain of is that no matter how much my capital might seem, I will never bet of gamble with money I'm not willing to lose.
So Ir also depends on how much my mind approves of the game.
4916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling today and lesson i learnt (lost 2000 usd today) on: December 29, 2022, 03:26:21 PM
I think this post is more of a brag rather than even a sympathy because I see no reasons why you should be taking so much pride in winnings.
I really don't like this concept of celebration and this thread also made me remember a thread with a topic that bad advice can also been gotten here and this I feel are also one of the bad advices please psrdon me but I really had to speak up my heart and mind.
The figures you mentioned here are really much and I don't even see myself toying or playing with such amount of money and beside I basically love to gamble with more caution rather than pleasure and I always have a mindset of making money rather than just fun.
4917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BANKMAN-FRIED PANIC GAMBLES TO REPAY DEBT on: December 29, 2022, 02:48:46 PM
I wouldn't really say or think of this as a compulsive gambling because nonome is a baby not even SBF  but I think and also agree with you that he has a really bad and negative companies around him because I see no reason why someone in possession of the hard earned money of customers even think of going into gambling if not the friends he has around him.
One thing I've learnt in a very hard way in gambling and also thabof trading is the fact that I will never use money that's not mine or money I can't afford to lose to gamble or even trade because I know of the risk involved and gambling which most times is a game of luck shouldn't be attempted with money one can't afford to lose.
4918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 29, 2022, 02:32:32 PM
I really don't think this is a nice motion or motive for the regular gamblers but this law will mostly favour tye government and leaving the players and casinos been stranded and scared.
One of the major reasons we have to push for tye use of crypto in casnos and gambling is the fact that government shouldn't be involved in the activities of a common man and if a gambling casino should be cashless, then it should be crypto inspired which would be decentralized with the involvement of a third-party and I think the crypto casinos are already pushing the fiat casinos out of market and I think the government wouldn't easily have a say in the gambling industry.
4919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 29, 2022, 02:22:19 PM
I tried talking about this responsible gambling feature but haven't gotten something tangible maybe I guess I wasn't following the thread properly my bad.
I haven't seen anyone accepted to be an addicted gambler not even myself and most times we think we're conscious nof the things we're doing but at the end, we loss money and blow up accounts and just from what you said in the second paragraph, wit all due respect senior, I think it's as a result of greed and most people forget that every win is a win and not necessarily making all the money at a time.
I haven't used the responsible gambling feature but I think it's a really nice feature.
4920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Types Newbies Should know About on: December 29, 2022, 02:14:43 PM
This is really interesting and you really took your time to explain almost everything to us and the newbies as well.
I recently came across a thread talking about parlay betting and to be frank, that was my first time coming across such type of betting and it was last week from this date.
From my little understanding and research, I think despite the higher odd presented by parlay type of betting, I think there are awhole lots of challenges associated with it and I personally wouldn't want to risk anything that will be determined by another seperate game all together.

There is also a type of gambling and sportbetting that allows a player cashout if the game remains just one and the player isn't sure of the outcome of the match.
Isn't that also a type of gambling
