Anyone is running overclocked at 205 GH/S ?
Yup, 1% error at 205-215gh/s Nice, I didn't know it can reach 215. Additional fans ? Anything special ? It has exceptionally low error rate. Don't know why, just a good egg. Even before a second fan and heat sinks it was hashing at 205-210. I now have a second fan and heatsinks and may just clock it up to 400mhz since it has such low error rate. What heat sink and fan do you use ? Thx. Thermaltake 70cfm for rear fan and some rather large heatsinks for the vregs. But it performed like that before the mods.

We had advertisements for our FB page. I can prove it with screens if you need In other words you bought FB likes? To be fair, that's pretty common practice for many companies both legit and not so its just not right to judge someone for using a common marketing technique.

Since it worked last time (kinda), more blocks please

I have a bit of hosting space left. where are we in most need of a p2pool node? US, EU, Asia, Japan?
I already have au and Singapore nodes. was thinking of putting in a US node.

I just tested sending 0.001 into my main blockchain wallet and it sent me an SMS. will see if that happens now with the watched addresses and let you know.
|
|
|
a note, with Blockchain wallets I don't get SMS messages if my wallet balance is empty. I guess they charge from them. Will try to confirm.

I guess coinbase could work also. I just tested it with blockchain.

Question!
I have an internet facing IP Address on my ANT, and couple days I have a string of "Bad Password Attempts" from a Chinese IP. Is there anyway to block this IP from my device? I have to restart the ANT every 40 hours or so because it thinks it's being DDOS'd
Yeah just go into the firewall and add a deny rule for all traffic from that IP.

BillTech if you enclose errors, logs or other extended text in a "[code]" tag then it'll display much nicer.

This is just a link to a tutorial I did on how to enable sms and email alerting on wallets. I use this to know when a new block payment comes in so though it may be useful in the mining thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=639765.0

Are you using Electrum, Multibit, Bitcoin core or blockchain.info wallet, or any other wallet for that matter, and do you want to be alerted when you receive a payment such a mining etc? It's pretty simple, here's how: 1. log into blockchain.info and create a new wallet https://blockchain.info/wallet/new2. log into your wallet on blockchain.info/wallet 3. go to import/export tab 4. click Add Watch Only Address 5. enter the Bitcoin address of the wallet you want notifications for 6. ensure you go into account settings and add an email address to send to and/or a mobile number This can be done for as many addresses as you like. This may be somewhere else but I couldn't find it so I hope others find this useful. Note: I All My Wallet accounts get 5 free SMS messages per day, more can be purchased from the my account page.

I had issues with custom DNS servers. I reverted back to DHCP. try using 8.8.8.8 as your dns server

Can anyone help me I rebooted my p2pool node running on Ubuntu 14.04 and I get this error. Bitcoin Qt is running and up to date. My node has been running fine up until the last reboot. andrew@andrew-Inspiron-530s:~$ python ~/p2pool/run_p2pool.py -n 82.196.8.44:9333 -n 146.185.183.227:9333 <username> <password> 2014-06-04 04:53:52.347693 p2pool (version 13.4-24-gf0eeb48-dirty) 2014-06-04 04:53:52.347840 2014-06-04 04:53:52.347932 Testing bitcoind RPC connection to ' http://127.0.0.1:8332/' with username 'xxxxxxx'... 2014-06-04 04:53:52.349553 > Error while checking Bitcoin connection: 2014-06-04 04:53:52.349666 > Traceback (most recent call last): 2014-06-04 04:53:52.349720 > Failure: twisted.internet.error.ConnectionRefusedError: Connection was refused by other side: 111: Connection refused. 2014-06-04 04:53:53.351541 > Error while checking Bitcoin connection: 2014-06-04 04:53:53.351698 > Traceback (most recent call last): 2014-06-04 04:53:53.351770 > Failure: twisted.internet.error.ConnectionRefusedError: Connection was refused by other side: 111: Connection refused You have any restrictions on the number of connections allowed to your bitcoind process? Did you try stopping/restarting bitcoind? Does Ubuntu 14.04 have some kind of built-in security that you need to allow port 8332 traffic (sorry, don't know that distribution well enough)? Can you telnet into that IP/port successfully? Sorry I'm new to Ubuntu, it has been running fine for the last month, I rebooted as there was a Ubuntu update and then I got this error. I have re formatted re-installed Ubuntu, Bitcoin Qt and p2pool so now have a fresh install but still getting this error. How can I see if Ubuntu is blocking port 8332 and if bitcoin is restricting a number of connections. When I first installed it it ran perfectly so not sure why I'm getting this now. andmax, are <username> <password> the same you have inside .bitcoin/bitcoin.conf's rpcuser/rpcpassword keys ? spiccioli Yes username and password in bitcoin.conf are the same as on my command line to start p2pool, thanks for your help just want to get it back up and running again as I'm in Australia and no p2pool nodes close by to hook into. My node is in Sydney and performs really well. Check out my dig!
