541  Bitcoin / Hardware / BFL Experience on: April 24, 2014, 05:30:29 AM
I just wanted to share my recent experience with Butterfly Labs as I see they have copped a lot of negative feedback. I bought a BFL Single second hand in a non working condition and upon contacting BFL they were happy to repair the device under warranty. They even allowed me to pull it apart and send only the base board to save on shipping. It got sent back within 2 days of arriving at their office and they have been nothing but helpful.

Yeah I have to agree, I got one of these locally and it is solid as and outperforms my antminers by a good margin. It overclocks very well and I get a good 2.6GH/s out of mine with very low error rate. 53 is the magic setting for me.

price per gh/s would be the Yellowjacket USB devices. I got one for $40AU and it gets 2.6gh/s all day long. run them up in a line and cool them and you have some very low cost/mh/s rig.

I will be running it at work so essentially free power. more of a hobby than to make money and it's the kind of thing we are into being a financial company.
I've got one ordered and waiting for the seller to ship. so far no response, which isn't completely unexpected.
One has to ask though, why bother selling it if the buyer protection and escrow of aliexpress stops him from being able to rip me off. At the very least he has to send it and it has to be able to mine at 38Gh/s or I get my money back.
Seems like a waste of time for him and minimal risk for me.

Legit? Aliexpress has buyer protection so if it's not as described or never arrives I get money back but it seems to good to be true.
What do you think?
