Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do?

So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
I think you can wait for the time to come and for the price to go up. If you sell them, you may lose the money forever but if you wait you may win them back.

With BTC in such a strong uptrend atm, are you buying altcoins right now? A lot of them are kind of 'cheap' and have been falling while BTC have been increasing.
I still buy in them but I wwill choose very carefully to avoid being cheated and make more money.

What if you woke up tomorrow to realize USA and China decided to make bitcoin legal, what would have been your emotions, and what price would bitcoin attain within the next 1 week?
EDITED Apologies, i was rather referring to ICOs but not bitcoin. Apologies once more.
I think it will take long time to reach that and we may see the price rising highly. Btc may hit $30,000 next week.

Selling some things and investing in Ethereum is a good idea?
I think it is a good one. Other coins may bring us more money but not stable and we need to focus on them with more time. If we are busy we had better ro saty away from them and buy in more eth.

reading whitepapers is a great source of information for new people to the cryptospace, alot of these concepts seem very not needed sometimes I recommend you new folks to read Mybit whitepaper it will definetely open your eyes to a few pockets of the blockchains usage with certain sectors of the cryptosphere.
Anybody else has a couple of informative whitepapers, that opened your eyes to a certain technology or undervalued market or just good information? Im about to read deeponion's!
Thanks for your advice and I read them for good information and with them I can make my investment more wise.

Our community today is growing bigger and bigger. There are so many recently joined members here in our forum and makes me curious why they are here? I really want to know your real motive in here. Let's speak the truth and be honest of everything because this thing can really affect on how you will interact in the community. After many votes, i'll say my opinion generally to understand what's the real course of joining in this forum.
So why? Let me know.
I think the motivation is to earn more money to buy more things to live a better life.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do???
|
on: February 23, 2018, 03:51:11 AM

Based on the success and free time that I have, I have decided to research the top 200 altcoins and release at least one analysis of them a day. Will release the results in this group (first 500 to join will get access to the premium group) t.me/CookieCryptoI have 12 Bitcoins. I am not a whale. I started about 6 months ago with 0.01 Bitcoins and $1000. I turned it into 12 Bitcoins so far and am pretty proud to say the least. My question is, what do I do now? As far as I can see, I have 4 options;1) Hold the Bitcoin
2) Invest in altcoins and leave a little in Bitcoin
3) Fund a project and start my own cryptocurrency that solves a problem that current currencies face (scalability, Tx fees etc.). With the funds, I would be able to assemble a team, start a marketing campaign, get listed on exchanges etc. I am also a programmer which helps.
4) Convert it to fiat (probably the dumbest idea)Edit: I should also add, I dropped out of school and have all the time in the world so can fully commit to any idea. I will earn my living of cryptocurrencies.A few people have asked how I made my money so, if you are interested, here is a short summary: Initially, I put it all into Bitcoin during the massive FUD of the fork around June when Bitcoin dipped to $1,900. Then I put half my money into NEO before all of the hype at around $12 and cashed out at $40. Then I invested in a couple ICO's and turned a pretty good profit of off the hype. After that, I got back in on NEO as soon as China announced the regulations regarding ICO's and rode the wave back from around $20 to $40 (I can't quite remember). Then, I rode the hype of Ethereum Dark, eBitcoin and a few other airdrop scams. Finally, I got in on Wincoin before it got to coinmarketcap and turned a 20x profit. I think the best idea is to hold some of the btc and sell some to buy in more othere coins to make sure that you can make more money and buy in more coins, I think.

Why people invest in ICO when it is risky and these days most of the coins are dropping. Do you think ICOs are going to survive for a long time?
The risk can bring us more money so the higher it is the more money we can get. I think this the the original motivation for us to invest in it.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you afraid of hackers?
|
on: February 23, 2018, 03:26:02 AM
|
Recently Bloomberg posted the information that it took hackers less than 10 years to steal over 14% of all existing Bitcoins and Ethereum from the wallets of their holders. The total sum they have stolen is more than $1,2 billion! How to protect yourself from hackers attacks? Are you afraid of this stuff?
I am afraid of them because they can take my coins away which is hard to make so I don't want to lose them. But I think the situation will be different in the future and we will be more safe.

|
on: February 23, 2018, 03:14:29 AM

How are you handling your portfolio? How much are risking in % of your portfolio in short term gain vs. Long term gain?
I hold btc and eth for long term because they are reliable for us to make more money. As for others, I will hold them fro short term and sell them soon when they can bring me 200%-400% profit.
