I got a lot done today and I decided to take a quick break and read the funny comments.
In the other thread I am being painted as "crazy".
In this thread in am being painted as an "inside trader".
If creativity and passion = crazy then I am very crazy.
I did not acquire my BlackCoins by participating in insider trading. I dumped my load of MintCoins and bought BlackCoins.
Unfortunately I am starting to see the same delusional behavior the Mint community exhibited months ago. Lets say I am crazy and I made everything up. Lets say I am "bat shit" crazy.
The dev team announced they hired one of the most well known PR firms with a reputation for representing top technology companies. For the crypto world this is some pretty amazing news, but the price of BlackCoin just briefly shot up and then quickly settled. For a moment I actually thought it was a pump.
Why did it quickly settle? Is someone suppressing the price? Are people just exiting? Has BlackCoin peaked?
By the time the PR firm gets up to speed it will be approximately 60 days from now. 60 days in crypto is a very long time. 60 coins would have been launched by then.
When I was pushing BlackCoin and told everyone we had to hit the ground running and never look back I sincerely meant it. But unfortunately other coins caught up quickly because focus wasn't where it should have been.
As I pointed out to someone in PM earlier today. Crypto is the only industry I know of where unemployed adults with no experience in finance or business are allowed to maintain multi-million dollar projects and no one cares.
Hey Iconic, Just a friendly suggestion. I think it would be better if you change the title of this thread as it is currently nearly identical to the thread posted by Soepkip. I think it may cause some confusion later on for new people coming into BlackCoin from BitcoinTalk. How about : [ANN] GoBlackCoin Movement | Branding & PR For BlackCoin (BC/BLK) Just a suggestion  |

BlackCoin Card Software Update Lookin awesome! I ordered my card on 4/14 -- txid a92e3c92b98ff0f272f584518189364d6705cb71a13f2623c08d6f63a1c142df I have not received anything - what's the story now? I live all the way in PA so I'm not one of those "international orders" which take a long shipping time. I was also definitely one of the first and bought the Limited Edition, not some second wave version which "hasn't shipped yet". So, where's my card? Today I am stepping away from the forum for 24 hours. I want to focus on filling the card orders because I am getting a bit annoyed regarding people posting fud about the cards. They do not understand I am not a factory or Amazon, and we can only fill a certain amount of orders per day. We had pre orders of over 330 cards and we are not just mailing empty cards.
Here is the process:
1. Software is transferred to each card.
2. Card and software is checked to be working correctly.
3. Card is placed in a plastic bag.
4. Card + plastic bag is placed in a black protective sleeve.
5. Security sticker is placed over the protective sleeve.
6. Everything is placed in one more plastic bad and then heat shrinked.
7. "card package" is then "glued" on a glossy instruction sheet.
8. Entire contents is placed in a First Class envelope.
9. Labels are printed and package is ready to ship.
So please have some patience. Over time the process will become more streamlined. Nice work Iconic, good to see the UI update  |

Personal Attacks & Juvenile Videos
So even after the personal letters shared between SoepKip and I, there are still people who would like to continue the personal attacks. When people who have been strong critics of me begin to "defend" me, you know you have reached a low point and have crossed some serious lines. If you spent just 40% of the time you have been using to focus on me, and use that energy on promoting BlackCoin, we would probably be trading around $1.00 by now. When people organize a smear campaign to discredit one person, it makes others start to wonder "why are they doing this"?
What we have witnessed in the past 48 hours is pure unadulterated politics played out on a public forum. I f I had ignored the accusations and smear posts, people would have started to wonder "Why isn't IconicExpert addressing these accusations"? "Is what they are saying is true"? However, when I do respond to the accusations and attacks they just continue to do it, while innocent people on the sideline watch in horror. So either way I will always be forced with tough decisions on how I should handle such situations.
What I do find comical is you mistakenly think these kind of tactics work on a man like me. Did you think I was actually going to "give up"?. After two months you apparently haven't been paying attention. If every time I was faced with trials & tribulations and I just gave up, I would not be as successful as I am. All you have accomplished is making people on the sidelines question your motives behind this smear campaign, and made me realize how much of a threat you perceive me. People would be more inclined to "turn against" me if they saw results from your promotional and outreach efforts.
Please pick one narrative and stick with it. Am I a greedy shark with self serving motives, or am I egotistical attention "whore" wanting all the attention? Let me make it easy for you so your messaging can be concise. I am a businessman that enjoys making money, but more importantly I also like to make history. What drives me is the challenge of taking a young idea and turning it into something amazing, while profiting in the process. So if I thought hiring a PR firm would make BlackCoin price and popularity skyrocket I would support it 100% no matter whose idea it is. Do not be mistaken, I am here to make money, I am not here for fun. I support any good idea that will make me money.
With the help of this community my projects and efforts have already made history for BlackCoin on more than one occasion in a span of just two months. So ask yourself this: "What can Iconic Expert do in a span of a year"? Do I think I with the help of this community I can take BlackCoin to #1 YES.
So let's stop with the BS childish bickering and let's make money. If I am wrong and the PR firm approach works well we all will benefit. If the Wall Street event has the effect I believe it will, once again we all will benefit.

Hi all First off to Iconic, great work bud on the BlackCoin Cards, I can already see them being a huge success for BlackCoin and for crypto's in general. I had some free time today so I used it to redesign the BlackCoin Card GUI. It's just a concept, but I think it looks quite a bit better than the current GUI. Let me know your thoughts on it. HI, Thank you for your comments and suggestions. I read your PM but I was very busy and I wanted to respond in detail. The GUI is constantly being tweaked and it will continue to be tweaked weeks and months ahead. When designing a GUI you have to take your core demographic into consideration when deciding layout, font size, color, element location...etc..etc. Unfortunately the wallet software has to appeal to a diverse demographic and finding the right balance will take tweaking. There has to be a balance between beauty and functionality. Your design is very nice but it is not a practical design for my development environment. When you design GUIs for developers you have to know the limitations of the tools being used to create the software, and you have to have a general knowledge of GUI design from a developers point of view. Also, you always have to take the end-user into consideration when designing GUIs. What appeals to a young techie will not appeal to someone in their late 50s that most likely use corrective lenses and cannot read computer font well. Thank you for your comments and suggestions. A lot of comments were posted so I will just answer them all here. 1. As I stated before this software will be tweaked many times over the course of the next few weeks and months. The goal now is to get everyone using the software and get feedback on the core functionality. 2. The cards and the software are a commercial product and eventually it will be adapted for other uses. This is not a community funded project and I will not taking votes on GUI design. 3. I never said the GUI was beautiful nor did I say it will not be changed over time. However, no design will please everyone. 4. I said Wulf's design was very nice but it literally cannot work with the design of the software. 5. I normally use a skinning engine but that would have been difficult to implement in this situation because certain dlls would have to be installed on the user-system first. My concept was aimed more at the "young techie" rather than an elderly person, therefore it probably wouldn't be suited to as wide a demographic as your GUI. Maybe Iconic will let your design become a skin option that people can use if they wish for the GUI on the BC card? Yup Down the road I will implement a custom skin system. This is the very early stages of this software. There will be many features added and also removed over time. My next goal is to get everything localized so by late June / early July our Non-Enlgish speaking friends can enjoy BC in their native language. Good stuff, once our Chinese friends hear about this forget the moon BC going to the edge to the Solar System |
