1201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking RSA Encryption with Quantum Computer on: January 09, 2023, 04:19:22 PM
Maybe we could try reading the actual report rather than just believing click bait headlines?

Quote
We demonstrate the algorithm experimentally by factoring integers up to 48 bits with 10 superconducting qubits, the largest integer factored on a quantum device. We estimate that a quantum circuit with 372 physical qubits and a depth of thousands is necessary to challenge RSA-2048 using our algorithm.

They managed to factor a 48 bit integer. So nowhere near the 2048 bits needed for RSA 2048. To do this, they say they need a quantum computer which doesn't exist and which utilizes technology which doesn't exist. If I publish a paper talking about a new space rocket design, that doesn't mean I've been to Mars. Roll Eyes

We've known for years there are methods that advanced quantum computers will be able to use to attack our current encryption schemes. We also know that such computers are decades away. This Chinese paper tells us nothing new.

You are right o_e_l_e_o, looks like they are one step closer, but they haven't reached the goal yet. The thing is, now they are in the right road, which means now is the right way to give the new step in encryption. We need something complex and almost impossible for quantum computers because we are not sure how fast that technology will evolve, maybe in 5 years they become madness, that's hard to predict.
1202  Economy / Speculation / Re: what If Bitcoin Price never comes up on: January 08, 2023, 07:24:11 PM
please explain me why bitcoin will make another all time high
or explain some circumstances in that bitcoin's price  will go more low and never or after long times later comes up

Because Markets work with the users' demand, it's simple as that, if there is a high demand for bitcoins, then the price goes up and if there's a low demand the price goes down.

A good example of this would be if Elon Musk post a tweet about how he is going to invest $100M in Bitcoin, That would generate a huge demand in the market because is not only the $100M Buy, is the fact that other people buying too that could send the price to a new ATH.
1203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best strategy for high wagering/low losses on plinko? on: January 08, 2023, 07:03:11 PM
I remember some years ago i used to have a plinko bet simulator, the backup should be somewhere if you want i can search for it and put it back online. With it, you can simulate millions of bets and try to look for a strategy for the long run with different seeds.

If you are interested just send me a PM and it could be back online for this week.
1204  Local / Mercadillo / Re: Quiero vender mi cuenta de Localbitcoins.com on: January 08, 2023, 04:36:47 PM

1205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: January 08, 2023, 04:22:41 PM
30% is what I can afford to lose, but had the roll been repetitive, I would just split BTC0.25 into 5 places and play it 5 times.

VERY bad idea. If you have a mathematical edge over casino, for the repetitive bets, the best tactic is to play with minimum bet increments to reduce the risk of going bust in case of a long losing streak.

Statistically, you'd only win one in six rolls, so losing streak of 5, or even 10 or 15 is very likely to happen. If I recall correctly the longest losing streak recorded on JustDice was over 30 with the odds of 50%.

Splitting the bet into smaller bets to chase a win isn't a bad idea, but isn't the worst way to bet, while more bets then there is a bigger chance to win but we get less profit.

To know how we would roll the bet, we have to set one goal, if the goal is to win big then we need to make some 'Yolo' bets like

1Btcx6(16.5%chance to win)=6Btc
6*6=36Btc
36*6=216Btc.

And this would be the right way to hit the moon, but we need a lot of luck to get that 3 bets streak with those low odds.
1206  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recommendations for Real Cryptocurrency Casinos on: January 07, 2023, 10:43:24 PM
You should take a look at BTCGOSU:

https://www.btcgosu.com/

On that site you will find the list of all the crypto casinos and reviews from the site and from users, it's one of the most complete lists of crypto sites and you can find the best promotions too. You can use different tools to filter casinos by trust, promotions, and by ranking. So, I'm almost sure that's what you are looking for.
1207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best strategy for high wagering/low losses on plinko? on: January 07, 2023, 10:29:42 PM
If the goal is high wagering then the best way to roll is tons of small bets, as you mention the x0.4 spot hits really often and doesn't worth going with big bets. The chance to hit that spot is close to 30% and 5 consecutive hits aren't really hard to see.

My strategy for the long-term roll is in the high-risk line, 5k bets, and double up until it hit x999. The odds on that multiplier are 0.0034% so, in theory, you need close to 30k bets to hit it, and since not all the other 30k bets represent a loss then sometimes works fine for the long run.

1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 07, 2023, 06:03:04 PM
Selling the motorbike to buy bitcoin is a great idea, bitcoin prize is still really low now, and is a great moment to invest in it. I have sold some stuff too to invest in cryptos, and now is the time to hold and wait for the bump, at least we should double up the invested money this year.

My recommendation is to make the transaction as sooner as possible, because tomorrow bitcoin can bet in $20k and will be late to ride the wave.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if you found others' keys? on: January 06, 2023, 09:56:10 PM
I suppose you could send a dollar's worth to a different address and hopefully they'd get the hint.

I would send a message to the same address with a message on the transaction, that's a nice way to let someone know his key has been compromised without risking any amount with the transaction.

And the second step would be to google the key, maybe we can find some public information about the owner and try to contact him directly to let him know about the issue.
1211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet is chess matches? on: January 06, 2023, 03:47:50 PM
If there really is a gambling site that offers chess games for betting, especially if it is on the same level as a soccer gambling board or other sports, for me this is difficult to analyze to conclude the statistical ratio of wins, maybe that can only be taken from the history of the player's wins and losses. just chess without any other calculations.

Sites like betnomi allow us to bet on chess matches as you can see in the next image:

Some weeks ago there was a nice match, Nakamura VS Magnus. Nakamura was the underdog, he pays something like x4. I bet on him and win, it was just a bad day for Magnus.

Chess is a weird "Sport" to bet on, and most of the Master Vs Master matches end in a draw, so, is not the most exciting "Sport" to bet.
1212  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (Updated) Stake is generous! (Did you recently get a $40 "Russian Bonus" from.. on: January 06, 2023, 03:26:58 PM
$40 bonus isn't bad at all. But why do you get it? is it only for Russian users?

I just verify my mail and looks like that bonus wasn't for all, but congrats again for your Bonus.

In the past few days I have been getting emails by Roobet offering free spins, I haven't taken any of those but maybe in the next one I will hit the bait.

Promotions by mail are tricky and are hard to trust because a lot of them are scams and there is a big risk for us to lose our money and even lose our accounts.
1213  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎁POLYGON - 1000 coins for registration (Roulette, dice, slots, crash and more) on: January 06, 2023, 02:26:35 PM
Welcome to the forum. I just decided to check the promo code, firstly, after registration, a confirmation letter does not arrive by mail, although a notification has surfaced on the casino's website that it has been sent, secondly, when using the specified OP promo code, I receive the message "SUCCESS Success! You've received 0 coins", perhaps the promo code is no longer valid, but then there would be a message of a different kind.

The condition for activating the promo code: the user must be authorized through steam, the profile must be open, the paid version of CS:GO (Prime CS: GO and profile rank: Private Rank 2 or +) must be purchased.

It would help if you mentioned that before because a lot of users already try to claim the prizes but with those absurd rules it will be impossible for all to claim those coins for registration.

It was just a bait and a perfect way to destroy the user's trust in the site. So, this is a terrible way to promote the site. Lie to the users is a terrible mistake, and if you are the one behind the marketing I could say you fuck it up hard doing this fake promotion.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the future of digital currencies? on: January 05, 2023, 10:21:13 PM
In the next years, we will see a crazy evolution in the hardware and software, All will be different, the cryptography will change, the mining will move to quantum mining, and that will be resumed in fast blockchains, just think about bitcoin but with blocks each second, that will be a crazy evolution for the cryptos.

And now think about a blockchain out of the internet, I know the concept sounds weird, but that would be a crazy step too... not sure how that would work, but we can expect some crazy crypto projects in the next years. Some people call it "Evolution".
1215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mistake I made some years ago on: January 05, 2023, 09:59:44 PM
I know how you feel sokani, a lot of friends come to me telling me one of those pyramid stories, looks like is the way that lot of people get introduced, to cryptos. But it's sad because after getting scammed they don't want to know more about cryptos. And that's why I always tell them to invest direct in bitcoin or altcoins and not in pyramidal schemes that always have a sad end.
1216  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♠️♥️♣️ CoinSlotty.com - Welcome Bonus, Free Spins, VPN Friendly, KYC from 2 BTC on: January 05, 2023, 07:02:54 PM
I was looking at the Bonus Wagering Rules.

Quote
2.1. The bonus must be wagered 50 times before the player can withdraw the winnings

Why 50 times, I feel like the number is a bit high, and don't like at all the % on the bonus with the non-slot games:

Quote
Slots — 100% (except for the games listed in the section 6.4);

Roulette, card games, poker, video poker, casual games, craps, lotteries — 5% (except for the games with a live dealer);

that 5% should be at least 20% because if we make a $100 depo and have to wager x50 then that's $5k on slots but in other games is like a $100k wager with that 5%.

1218  Local / Servicios / Re: Como quitar bypass on: January 05, 2023, 03:25:01 PM

1219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coin_trader slot experiment to determine my luck on: January 04, 2023, 08:38:48 PM
This is a nice experiment, but you don't have to do it to understand how much you get in the long run. If the slot game has an rtp of 94% then you will lose 6% of the total amount spent in the next bets. So, if you place 1 million of $1 bets, in theory, you should lose $60k. Well, at least that's what theory says, lets's see the result of your experiment to compare it.
1220  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 🗝 PvKeys.com | BTC & ETH Private Key Balance Finder on: January 04, 2023, 08:03:45 PM
Honestly last night I found 2 addresses each containing +400$, didn't touch them, also not going to say which coin.

This is hard to believe, can you sign a message with both addys to prove the veracity of your story?

The odds of finding one are really low and you say you found 2, easy $800 in 1 day. Sorry but for me, this is really hard to believe, and I'm sure no one else will find an address there with a balance in the next 10 years.

I don't want to take the coins, just sign a transaction with the address Wink and it would be nice if you can make a small transaction to let the owner know how his address are now compromised.
